Theo's plan to hire a stripper for brother-in-law Martin's belated bachelor party sets off sparks in the Huxtable house and ignites a full-blown battle of the sexes.
Theo isn’t the reason it all went down. It was the women with their insecurities about a stripper, who, in the end, probably didn’t give 2 cents about how the other women felt about her being a stripper🤣. The stripper probably would have told those women to sit down, shut up and stay in their own lanes. Most strippers are working their way towards a much bigger goal. Stripping is just a JOB they’re doing. It’s not who they are. And I’m a woman saying this too. Denice and Sondra created drama out of nothing.
For once I agree with Elvin. Why air her issues, even imply something wrong with his body in front her family? If something needs to be said, it should have been said in the privacy of their home.
I don't know why people are griping about this episode. Usually, these characters are so unrealistically proper/polite, it's fun to see them throw some serious shade around. And you could hear the audience howling.

Sondra thinks it's okay to criticize Elvin's body but the minute he points out a flaw in her body she gets upset. Speaking of Sondra, WTF is she wearing?? Clair, Sondra, and Denise were just being ridiculous. It's a stripper, which is like basic 101 when it comes to bachelor parties, to have some type of female dancers. Has Elvin or Martin shown any tendencies or characterisitcs of going out and cheating? I don't think so. They needed to have some faith in their husbands.

The whole point of the matter is Theo, a single man, wanted a bachelor party for his married bro-in-law. These men are married and to go to a bachelor party is disrespectful is we're being completely honest. I won't go into the spiritual aspects being a Christian but I will say this... we treat marriage like it's something to dread. What is a bachelor party? It's looked at as "the last hurrah" before what? Death? Many look at marriage like it's the death of a healthy sex life, boredom and tedium... marriage is what you make it in the end. It will be as alive or as dead as you want it to be and like anything in life, you got to put in the work. Hopefully there is love there and that makes it all worth it. This is one of my favorite episodes but I still think the women were holding a double standard when it came to the point that women don't lust after men the same way men lust after women.
Denise was such a hypocrite in this episode. First, ogling is ogling. "Just looking" is not a gradation of ogling. Second, we were taught time & again throughout the 80's that "no" means "no." That is, until the woman (Denise) wants to find exceptions to the standard to fit her argument.
Sondra's comment was uncalled for. I am glad that he responded.
