Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien (Leyendas de la Guitarra Sevilla '92)
• Joe Satriani - Surfing...
joe,satriani,surfing,with,the,alien,leyendas,de,la,guitarra,sevilla,92
and this piece was played at a higher tempo than on the CD! AMAZING!!
Exactly. I thought it impossible at studio speed. The guy IS an alien.
I’m not used to seeing Joe with hair and without sunglasses. 😱
It’s so weird lol
That was old but young Satriani guitar killing machine😮😅😂
His head hair migrated to his arms to be closer to those magic fingers.
Tempo! Holy cow this is a fast version! Joe must have had somewhere to be after the show!!
Its the drummers fault haha - hes the one that counts in the song.
It’s so fast lol, still cool and more technically impressive but it doesn’t sound as good as the original tempo
By far one of the best guitar players of allllll time. For real.
Such as classic performance at that Guitar Festival. I remember the whole thing being televised at the time in the UK. Lots of guitarists of all styles. I stayed up to watch it and it was my first introduction to Joe Satriani. Needless to say, I was impressed.
Nathan East the bass player is insanely good. He has done studio work for countless bands and artists🔥👍🏼
when I first saw Satriani live at the warfield in San Francisco back in the early 90s. I was amazed. jaw dropped look. face melted
Satriani is a must in guitare, I suggest you to react to the live version of "Always with Me, Always with You"
also add hes LIVE versions of "Dreaming #11 - Memories" and "Made of tears"
I agree. It is my favorite version
Love your faces when Joe just hits it. Priceless!!😂😂
I was there with my family! My first trip to expo Sevilla 92, 12 years old lol
He wasn’t Steve vai’s guitar teacher for nothing. Ha.
Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett are two of Joe Satriani's most famous students. 🤘🎶🔥
Plus Alex Scolnik
The album that started it all for me. Met him in KC at this tour
Always with me, always with you. Was the world wide hit of this album. Do it!
200% agreed!
I believe that's the late Cozy Powell on drums and the legendary Nathan East on bass. Jeff Campitelli did play drums on this album but he is not the drummer in this video. The Bpm's seem to exceed 190 on this at times but it varies wildly.
Did he not teach Steve Vai..?
You are correct sir.
Excuse me Sir, it's Steve Vai
@@patrickwouters6568 That's what he said, Steve Voo
@@joshuawiedenbeck6944 Via?? Voo??
Is name is Steve VAI
@@patrickwouters6568 Just messing around. Yes, he mixed up the vowels.
A friend of mine I work with plays Joe Satriani songs so well, his RUclips user name is Hetriani, he just recently a cover of Flying in a blue dream by Joe, you should check out!! Either way, great reaction video
Big Bad Moon is for me easily my favorite Satriani song, studio version.
That was bannanaz and bannanaz iz good!!! Thanks for sharing even though I'm a year late!! Love Mr. Satriani!!!
Love you guys, want you to know I've seen Joe about 30 times from the 80's till 2004 was my last, he was with Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, usually in small venues where I was up against the stage below his feet!!!! Man o man!!!
Nice reaction guys
I know this song from Nascar 99 on N64 and also Guitar Hero 3. Great tune.
This is sped up a lot. Frantic! I love it. Look how young he was!
Me encanra la chica que simpatica que es un saludo chicos desde Argentina los quiero
'Surfing with an alien must be awesome'
Ask Norrin Radd......
In 1987 Red Bull was established. In 1992 Joe played this waaaaaaaaaaay faster than the studio version. Coincidence? ;-)
You should see child prodigy Taj Farrant play this when he was 10 years old
Can't go back-try this one😏 enjoy
Magnificent, and I'm talking about Suzzy...
Oooh yeahhh 🎈🎈
Joe Satriani was actually the silver surfer whom fell in love with rock and roll
I should have been seeing him live in Gateshead tonight (postponed from 2020 & 2021) it's now 13th May 2023 !
He plays the guitar like a painter uses a paintbrush, true art
Again I stress to you that Joe Satriani taught Steve Vai how to play guitar, and in fact Joe also taught the lead guitarist in Metallica how to play. Joe is a master guitarist who has taught professionally and performed professionally since the early 1980’s. He’s a living legend 🤩👏🇦🇺👍👑
In my opinion,...Satriani is the best guitarist alive!!!!
I remember when the album came out! Vai.. Satriani and Johnson all exploded on the music scene around the same time. The arpeggio God's ! But.. Eddie Van Halen Started it all in the mid 70s !
Check out steve vai for the love of god from the same Saville expo 92 concert it wascthe 1st time he performed it live.. This was around about the same time he was with whitesnake.
Hey guys, Check out the songs Satch Boogie or Circles from the live show “Satriani Live” It has the insanely talented Jeff Campatelli on drums (who was in a band at 16 opening for the Tubes in SF at the Cow Palace). Joe met Jeff at a SF nightclub when Jeff was in High School & Joe in his early 20s They both were music teachers who worked with famous guitarist & drummers Anyway good stuff. Thanks for bringing this to the masses.
If you haven't reacted to it yet check out Yngwie Malmsteen Black Star live
The Best
When Satch plays like this you really do feel like youre surfing with an alien-!! lol
Steve Ferrone and Nathan East....killer rhythm section
that whole album was fantastic
there are no bad songs...'Satch Boogie' is still my nastiest favorite of his
Joe has taught so many musicians it's crazy!! Hope Steve Vai is on your list ❤😁😎🤘
Not only did he give lessons to Steve Vai, he also taught Kirk Hammett of METALLICA!
too sad kirk sucks hahahaha
It's like 50% the original tempo. Fucking mental.
150% the original Tempo you mean
@@willeh1947 I meant an extra 50% was probably drunk
Steve via, Eddie Van Halen , Joe Satriani (Sach), Randy Roads….
Listen to Satch boogie live Joe's da man!!!
\
Satch is a beast!! G3 was amazing.
lol @ the "He taught Steve Vai" comments.
Steve has reached a whole other level than Satriani, years ago.
5:45 😮🎵😮🎶🤪=😎🎵😊😅😂
He still Plays but just Gray.
How far back did you take us?
Try. Always with me. Always with you, buy Joe S.
In the 80s Folks
Too fast
Try the studio version LigHtly slower and more nuance
Joe Satriani is also such a nice guy, feet on the ground so to say.
thats a good 1.5x the reg speed lol
Hi. Plz react to Love Thing by joe satrani. U will not be disappointed.
Did anyone count the stank faces or does this video qualify as 1 solid stank face?
Whoever the sound engineer was at this particular show is in dire need of some help. I realize that this vid was shot a long time ago, but damn...jus sayin. And, "Joe Satch" has always been an absolute monster.
God damn she,s a snack
Ooh ADHD version and worst sound you can think of.
I keep on pushing uuh uhh..
"Back to Shalla-bal" Studio from Flying in a blue dream.
React to Tina S guitarist fantastic!!
I love Joe, but this is just too fast. It lost its feel
Too fast - and too many notes!! ("Amadeus" reference....)
