Hello guys! I followed your advice step by step and now I have fabulous tubes to make, I hope, wonderful photos! I will begin to use the tubes as soon as I lose the two kilos I have taken while eating cakes and when I am cured of diabetes !! :-) (kidding!). it seems superfluous to tell you that I love your photos and that they were a source of inspiration!! I love you. Greetings from Sicily, Italy.
hahah thanks ::)) Hey for you in Italy, it's easy to get real tubes. Check out the links on facebook.com/groups/ericpare/permalink/1103347626475621 (the ones from the UK are you best bet)
Yay!!! India :D Its seriously very hard to get readymade clear tubes here......and you came up with a very ideal solution for us. Thank you Eric and Kim for both your effort of demonstrating it..... :D Cheers from India P.S I'll try experimenting and tag you and tubestories on IG when I upload :)
After seeing your videos and getting a new camera i was really inspired to try it. But like you say the tubes are not easy to find. So i cut up 2 litre plastic bottles and taped them together inserted the baking paper and it worked. Thankyou both so much for your amazing work. Keep it up 👍
Hi Eric... Am from India and I follow you and have seen all of your work which inspired me to start light/ tube painting. I use exactly what you have shown in the video. I went to lamination shop and bought A0 SIZE lamination sheet, cut it in to 8 inch strips and made all my tubes. I also use coloured transparent sheet which are available in local stationary shop. You have actually liked several of my photos in Instagram and Facebook which actually inspires beginners like us more. Thanks for that. One more problem in India is that we don't get Eagletac flash lights here. I use Fenix brand which is quite good for luminosity but does not have constant strobe mode. Hope this problem gets resolved in future.
That's very interesting! Yes I remember your pictures... very nice work instagram.com/p/Bbdp6B4FflH/ Fenix is also a very good option, but as you said, they don't have constant strobe mode. Do you know why? Patrick told me in #08 ruclips.net/video/OFJaoe8rkQA/видео.html Check out if you can get Olight, Atactical or Thorfire... they do have constant strobe mode
Hi I am using white plastic pipes that is used in the plumbing trade here in the UK - with torches at either end - early days but the results are above average
And there is also the plastic sticky back cover for school books (which is larger than the cake collar and it's possible to stick it directly on a parchement paper sheet to get both at once) : www.amazon.co.uk/Tiger-Plastic-Sticky-Back-Cover/dp/B002Q0KLQU :)
Thank you so much its been a long time i want to try out this creative idea of yours! But not able to find the right tube for a long time...Ice Light is pretty costly for us in India... rs 15,000 /- Shit!! Now I can finally make my dream come to live...thanks again
i made it from Lamination plastic which is thick and easy to roll ... But i wonder how u shot the picture in long exposer with no blur .. I had seen all the picture and i found it very sharp .. AMAZING .. Pliz advice me how to take sharp picture while light painting ... Thanks once again
Watch my videos and practice a lot ::))) I'll probably come up with a video dedicated to this eventually... "The one second light-painting technique, or... how to have your model super sharp"
No it's simpler than that. I'm just using flashlights inside the tube... If this is all new for you, this video is going to answer a lot of your questions: ruclips.net/video/IwRKN_8Aql4/видео.html :)
Thank you again, it's so reassuring to view artists work & then for them to be so generous as to share their methods. You both set an example-globally!
Eric Used few plastic sheets and rolled it up like a tube. Stuck a broom stick pole to support the weight. Here is my first attempt at it. Will have to practice more. instagram.com/p/BcjJtrwlVwI/
@@Ericpare subject n the sharpness is missing. My settings r like...F5.6, 15secs, manual mode n before switching of the lights autofocus then changing to manual focus is getting shacky camera move
you are the gift that keeps on giving!

Keep posting such great idea, sometime its hard or expensive to get the light paint tools
Thanks
its so hard to get these tubes here .your video was very informative
Mr. Pare, you the man! We can't get these light covers in Finland, costs 80 bucks to send from the US....next stop the art store!
Buy them from UK instead! Search in the group, you'll find a few discussions about that :))
Brilliant
I suggest using a broom or a mop handle to roll it around the handle, then tape :)
GREAT! Ideas on this. Thank you SO UCX for sharing....The way to go!!
