Zane is my favorite character and I think he needs to talk about his guilt of being the Ice Emperor. He is kind and it is really out of character for him not feeling guilty about hurting so many people.
Hot Take: season 11-15 Wu was probably the best version of Wu we've had. Before, he just kind of seemed like a wise old man who would give out cryptic knowledge every now and then and that was it. There were many opportunities in the seasons before where we could have had amazing development with him, like his relationship with Garmadon and his inner conflict with Morrow. But we almost never get to see him truly self reflect on it except for maybe a sudden outburst (don't even get me started on the letter incident before Garmadon's sacrifice). Season's 11-15 actually had him self reflect and face the consequences of never telling the ninja his mistakes in his past (like his guilt over Kai loosing his powers). Seasons 11-13 did a good job spanning out his development, with season 11 introducing his annoyance at the ninja for not being at the top of their game, only for us to find out that his reasoning for being annoyed in season 13 was because he felt like they don't need him as a sensei anymore and he was only holding them back. I thought that tied really well with how season 7 ended, with Wu regretting not bringing the ninja with him to face Acronix because he thought he could beat him on his own. I could go on but this is already long enough haha
another hot take, but the love triangle between Cole, Nya, and Jay was amazing. I though Cole and Jay's reactions and fights with each other were a lot more lighthearted and playful than people made it out to be and I really enjoyed that dynamic. It really highlighted how best friends tend to fight and I enjoyed it.
I think there needs to be a balance of new and old for future seasons. I get they wanna step away from old concepts and introduce new stuff, which I’m perfectly fine with. But they’ve barely used any of the old classic concepts between s11 and now (assuming Seabound doesn’t use any old stuff). For example, they make a new season that allows for Airjitzu to return. If it fits the story, then do it. That way, if fans don’t like the new stuff they bring to the table, they have an old concept to fall back on.
I think we all knew that Zane wasn't going to be gone for long following season 3. However, I think that it would've made the series much more interesting if Zane had spent some time in the Digiverse like the Overlord did prior to rebuilding himself. That's how it seemed like the direction the story was headed based on the ending scene. Another interesting way they could've gone would be if they did something like when Pixal was inside Zane's head, but with the roles reversed. Or, what if Pixal found the other half of Zane's heart, put it inside herself and became the new elemental master of Ice; at least until the writers could find a slightly less cliché way of bringing Zane back from the dead.
Extremely unpopular opinion: I actually didn’t really mind the love triangle in season 3. It had some funny dialogue and also gave Jay and Nya a challenge in their relationship rather than everything always being perfect for them. I think it ended up making their relationship stronger in the end. Also “i HaVen’T bRusHeD mY TeeTh In A WeEk” is legendary.
Here’s a hot take I think it would of been interesting if morro took Wus hand at the end of season 5 and joined the team I often wonder what the show would of been like if morrow joined the team Maybe he finds his place among the team and excepts the fact that he was never meant to be the green ninja and was meant to be the master of wind and on top of that he grows as a character of course
It would have been cool to see both sides of garadom brought back and to see garamadon not only have struggle with his past but to fight the living embodiment of it. Maybe the both sides would keep the power of destruction, but what if S.garamadon also learned to use the power of creation. This might be a good way to explore the back story behind these elements or elemental essences
Someone's going to kill me for saying this, but I actually like the anime style. Like you can make legit criticisms of the episodes themselves in terms of pacing and filler content, but that's not a problem with the anime style, it's a problem with the writing. I very much liked seeing the Ninja drawn as humans, it was funny and interesting.
i really want a ninjago civil war story tbh, like not like season 4 where they are forced to fight but a season when they are in complete and utter disagreement with eachother
In the trailer for season 15 of Ninjago, it looks like Nya unlocks her Spinjitzu Burst. Which means only Cole and Nya would have unlocked it prior season 15.
I mean, that would make sense. Wu stated that an elememtal master is at their strongest when they are the closest to their element, so since nya is gonna be going deep into the ocean she's probably gonna get a power boost
I think the "side plot" that one person meant was the love triangle. That one about the toxicity in the community has me rethinking joining the community now....Great to see all these opinions, and maybe one day I can form the SkylorXShade ship group XD
About her hot take: I feel like master Wu should die. this almost happened in season 7 and he was kinda gone in 8 and 9 being a child and stuff but I think it would be good character development for all the ninja sense they have to learn how to go without him
@@EchoNoir- the snaketastrophy episode made me want to vomit up blood. Oh by the way, this season also had the fucking balls to utterly murder the characters and their personalities. The ninja and Wu are nothing like what they used to be. It’s almost as bad as Luke skywalker in the last Jedi
my own hot take: lloyd is probably one of the physically weakest ninja, since he relies so heavily on his powers. the others, especially cole and nya re the physically strongest, cole because he's cole, and nya because she's hardcore af and canonically carried 5 of the other ninja without her powers
I know I’m really late but I need to say this. I WANT TO SEE MORE OF THE SKY PIRATE CREW! Like what happened to the entire crew? Especially Clancee, Doubloon, and Wretch?? They were such interesting concepts: Dobloun, a silenced kabuki warrior who knows spinjutzu, wretch: a robot monkey mechanic who understands English, and Clancee: a serpentine who looks and feels nothing like any other serpentine.
Hot take: Decoded is used only for an entire filler season. I honestly didn’t know it existed until I saw the poster a while after is came out. Lego kinda used it for a bunch of old clips. When I saw it existed I thought that I missed an entire season until I finished watching it. After I watched it I thought “oh wow I wanted my time”
Hot take: They only did one memory with Cole mom in season 13 when she was mention a lot. I would have preferred see more flashbacks like if Cole saw that she died and like more being sad that he’s dead. I think that would have a been miss of showing how Cole develop in his past life to show how he is now.
I want to expand the point of Zane staying dead. Zane's sacrifice would have had a bigger impact on viewers if there was a season before season 4, but it would be also cool if the start of season 4 would have been moved to this new season 4 (the part with Lloyd getting all the ninjas back), maybe also Nya could help as Samurai X in this concept.
No one cares or talks about what happens to Mystake but every one talks about Mr.E and Harumi, Mr.E and Harumi are some of my favorite villains though. Maybe in the show one time they should talk about it. Am I the only fan who really rembers Mystake/the old tea lady. Fans never talk about what happens to her in season 9/Hunted.
Hot take: Season 11 is underrated (And personally one of my favorite seasons). HEAR ME OUT! I thought the new studio did an AMAZING job with the animation! I loved how they adjusted little details, like textures, facial expressions, etc. (except for Wu's 3D mouth, but I guess that was kinda WF's fault) The story itself was great! I felt like it had the perfect balance between humor, wholesomeness, and angst, which some seasons kinda lacked, tbh. I mean, seasons 8-10 were all BEAUTIFUL and all, but at the same time, some of it kinda felt like it was written by some 14-year-old who just listened to Billie Eilish for 7 hours straight...(but THEY'RE STILL AMAZING!) Also, people often tend to overlook some _beautiful_ things this season gave us. Example: -fUgIdoVe -R E V E N G E (it was kind of annoying, ngl, but it had some great meme potential!) -B E R N I E -Pixane became the first ship where both of the people in it admit they love each other (CONGRATULATIONS, writers! You've managed to give some other ship besides Jaya some screen time! Now don't be shy! Give us a Kailor episode!) -Forbidden Spinjuitzu looks BEAUTIFUL - **inhale** AKITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA -B R O B R O G U G U -Jake -Antonia -Lil Nelson -THE CHICKEN- The one thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the ending and the aftermath. I hated how they _casually_ brushed the fact that he committed *literal genocide* and *almost murdered his friends.* They should have used season 12 (like you said) as a way for him to get over the PTSD of *murdering thousands of innocent children.*
Have the “new” Zane be the same but not have the memories or personal experiences of the old one. The “new” Zane will not be an Elemental Master as that was gifted to the old one. This Zane’s journey will be about be breaking out of the old one’s shadow and deciding on whether he wants to be Zane, The Elemental Master of Ice, The White Ninja in which he tries to rediscover his abilities or become Zane, the Titanium Ninja or maybe a mix of both
I am happy that Zane returned, as I think he’s my favorite ninja, but I can’t deny it would’ve been interesting to see how they would’ve taken the series if Zane stayed dead. At the very least, I think it would’ve been fascinating to see what season four would’ve been like without the Titanium ninja and then they could’ve brought him back in season five since that series is about girls, so it would make sense to bring back a character during the season, dealing with the dead (not saying that we’d see a ghost of Zane, he would just be rebuilt, but it would be poetic to have a dead character return in the season about ghosts.)
Hot take: Lloyd doesn't "steal the spotlight," as a large part of the community says. It just seems like that because they are constantly paying attention to anything he says/does or any focus (season) he gets. And he does most of the talking because *obviously,* he's their leader.
no offense, but I what you said is certainly a HOT TAKE. I personally disagree with you. In seasons before 8, lloyd was the "leader" but other ninja still had spotlight. I had nothing against lloyd until he had like 4 seasons about him in a row.
@@savagemongoose1182 that's a bit of a stretch, the Oni trilogy wasn't just about Lloyd, it also heavily focused on Garmadon and Wu, yes season 8 was a Lloyd season but season 9 and 10 were not Lloyd seasons, and Lloyd hasn't gotten a focus season since season 8 either
@@vesha6274 From my point of view (A Kai Fan) Lloyd has stolen many seasons. In s9 Lloyd was the one to square off against garmadon instead of Wu. This was very disappointing to me because I wanted to see a Wu V Garmadon fight. In s10, Lloyd had the main focus with being the only ninja who could go down and fight the oni leader with Garmadon. Lloyd also had around 6 times more dialogue than Kai (I am a Kai fan so I notice Kai more than others). In s11 instead of seeing Kai and Zane duke it out, LLOYD has to go on his own SOLO adventure and he fights/talks to Zane. Like am I the Only one who wanted to see a fire ice battle? He also has the most scroll screen time. Once again he had more dialogue and screentime than Kai and Jay combined. !*Fun Fact Intermission*! While Kai and Nya had a Forbidden Spinjitzu minifigure in the sets, we never saw them in the form during the show. This is where the streak ends, though I do feel he gets more screen time than he deserves in all the new seasons. Don't mean to be toxic or anything, just my opinion/interpretation of the seasons as a Kai fan. :)
@@savagemongoose1182 well in season 10 he only went because he was part Oni, the rest of the ninja would've suffocated in that black cloud, I haven't seen season 11 yet but the season doesn't actually have a mascot or focus character so idk

Thanos: because as long as there are those who remember what was, there will always be those who are unable to accept what can be.
I feel like if zane stayed dead it would add character development for the ninja but in season 4 the ninjas entire motives were to find an old friend If you think about it the ninja don’t need zane, they need someone with a balance of power although they said they would never replace him
I see the filler episodes as like an interlude on an album where you can skip it and still get the whole story but it is nice in context of the complete project
hot take: I really enjoyed season 12 and I'm not sure why its so hated. And, I also absolutely love the second half of season 11 but I despise the first half of s11 so much because of how bad the filler eps had gotten.
Skylor shouldn’t have joined the ninja team, it would takeaway from the pthers development, she was already too OP and it would mess up Cole’s colour scheme
rebooted is my favourite season, I love the weapons, I love the enemy, and the ninja going into the Digiverse was one of the best episodes of all time. Zane sacrificing himself was the saddest and one of the best scenes in all of Ninjago and I personally liked the love triangle it was pretty funny. not to mention Kais Rizz was insane.
Ok, before I say my biggest hot take I’m gonna do a really short summary of my history with Ninjago. When seasons 8, 9, and 10 came out, I watched them with a scowl on my face. I despised them, for a lot of completely unfair reasons, and only finished them to finish the plot of “what the heck happened to Wu”. After a few years, 6 months ago, I watched season 11 out of boredom and wasn’t impressed, but wasn’t appalled either. Then, just a month ago, I rewatched SoG and ended up finishing the series. I was very harsh on the show as a whole in the past, but now I am so glad I finished it; however, one of my biggest opinions is one that I still stand by today. Hot take: Lloyd, ever since season 8, has been completely butchered in the “Master” sense. When I watched the Oni trilogy for the first time, this fact is what kept me from finishing the series. When I came back to it, I wasn’t as harsh but the truth was still prominent. In season 7, Lloyd was shown to be one of the wisest and most developed of the ninja. Was it premature? Sure! But he gave good advice and was powerful. Lloyd in the WildBrain era, specifically when dealing with Garmadon, has just been absolutely pathetic. He’s impatient, immature, gullible, and overall just a ridiculous jerk. He’s not at all the son of Garmadon. (I will admit, during the Oni trilogy this was less prominent, but when watching Crystallized it really disappointed me how the writers chose to deal with Lloyd and Garmadon’s interactions. Lloyd is just a brat to this man who’s obviously trying to change, and it was really saddening for me.)
I would like to have a Session or just a small season like Day of Memories, which ist about the past.Where wu,garmadon,Ray,Maya,... fighting the snakes and how Chen betrayed both Sides. But I would also like to see more episodes about or with the "Ninja replacement Team",with Skylar, dareth, ronnin,Echo zane,... (Sry for my English)
Hot take: Rebooted is the only straight up bad season of Ninjago. The love triangle sucks, the Overlord coming back after being destroyed is so dumb, them going to space is also stupid, and the idea of the technologically advanced season is not done well. The only thing I enjoy about the season is Zane’s sacrifice… which is immediately undermined in the next season
True just realized that but at the same time the ninja probably wouldn't have been able to make it to the pyramid because only zane could get the engine for the land bounty from the beetle and they would be stuck so with out Zane the ninja would be goners.
My hot take: Lloyd is very overrated. I’ve always found Lloyd to be annoying as a kid (season 1 - 3) and his voice was weird (why was he voiced by a woman?). I didn’t like him when he lost his powers in season 8 till 9, he just got depressed and almost died. The final battle was good. His battles wij Garmadon in 8 and 9 were good, but not because of him. I like him more after season 11, I think they made him much better of a character. Still my least favourite ninja tho.
I find it so wierd how Zane got no consequences for his actions as the Ice Emperor. He destroyed a whole species I think the side plot they are talking about in Rebooted is the Jay/Cole/Nia love triangle, which i honestly agree with
hot take: new designs are nice but unrealistic. ok maybe it's logical that lloyd gets a new haircut, maybe kai healed his other scar and got a new one on the other eye, maybe jay just naturally changed his haircolor, fixed his split eyebrow and got freckles.
Season 4 is also my favorite villian. Btw if good Garmaddon comes back I wanna see him staying as his dark side like you said about your Bad/Sensei Garmaddon idea. I wanna see him with Green Eyes and a Green and Purple Robe. He could just be called Sensei Garmaddon.
Honestly he should've He's just cannon fodder now He has 0 significance aside from him being the brains and a loved one Used to like Zane but he's getting pretty boring now
HOT TAKE: This hot take series should be a regular once every week on say Tuesday or whenever? Doesn't have to be Tuesday but a random day and stick with it every week.
I just saw this title and I gotta say, if Zane stayed dead I would have abosolutly NO reason to continue to watch ninjago. Zane is the reason I watched the show in the first place.
I don't agree with Cole being the strogest, you Cant know who would've survived that fall since only Cole fell. I agree with that he's phisicly the strogest in that he can lift heavy things, cause that comes with his powers

Extremely unpopular opinion:
I actually didn’t really mind the love triangle in season 3. It had some funny dialogue and also gave Jay and Nya a challenge in their relationship rather than everything always being perfect for them. I think it ended up making their relationship stronger in the end.
Also “i HaVen’T bRusHeD mY TeeTh In A WeEk” is legendary.
Here’s a hot take
I think it would of been interesting if morro took Wus hand at the end of season 5 and joined the team
I often wonder what the show would of been like if morrow joined the team
Maybe he finds his place among the team and excepts the fact that he was never meant to be the green ninja and was meant to be the master of wind and on top of that he grows as a character of course
hot take:season 7 is soooo underrated,I know that there are some better seasons but the evil twins and all of the time travel thing was amazing
I just realized I’m in it :O
The side plot was the love triangle by the way
:O
Hope we get a part 3

It would have been cool to see both sides of garadom brought back and to see garamadon not only have struggle with his past but to fight the living embodiment of it. Maybe the both sides would keep the power of destruction, but what if S.garamadon also learned to use the power of creation. This might be a good way to explore the back story behind these elements or elemental essences
Oh my Good God that sounds epic and i loved Sensei Garmadon as a character and he should have been a mainstay since 3 but it was short lived.
I respect your opinion
I appreciate Ninjago for experimenting even if they don't all receive good reception in the fanbase.
It was definitely funny that’s for sure
Agree, i like those anime moment as small flashback. It's pretty fun to see Ninjago in 2d
i really want a ninjago civil war story tbh, like not like season 4 where they are forced to fight but a season when they are in complete and utter disagreement with eachother
I am sure that Wu said that spinzitsu burst is only for elemental master of earth
@@Omnibuul2.0 I don't think so
@@Omnibuul2.0 Yeah Wu probably did.
@@-beastly-bat-studio-5996 I heard he said only earth masters have done it.
I think the "side plot" that one person meant was the love triangle. That one about the toxicity in the community has me rethinking joining the community now....Great to see all these opinions, and maybe one day I can form the SkylorXShade ship group XD
About her hot take: I feel like master Wu should die. this almost happened in season 7 and he was kinda gone in 8 and 9 being a child and stuff but I think it would be good character development for all the ninja sense they have to learn how to go without him
I love these hot takes videos man please keep them going
Great video, I have a question, is Lego going to make dvds for season 9 and above or did they stop that....I want the whole series so bad lol
They did but in different regions. I know because I’m a sucker for those DVDs.
I used to hate S8-10 but I got over it.
I'd love to see another one! Love these hot takes and have a couple planned if you do a part 3
I will never understand why ppl don't like fillers in general, it's literally where the fun and unique episodes are.
Not in season 11. It’s absolutely retarded in that

@@EchoNoir- not only that. Season 11 is utterly offensive in itself. FUCK THIS SEASON

Hot take : cole should not be the VIDEO GAME GUY , it should be jay again
They both are
my own hot take: lloyd is probably one of the physically weakest ninja, since he relies so heavily on his powers. the others, especially cole and nya re the physically strongest, cole because he's cole, and nya because she's hardcore af and canonically carried 5 of the other ninja without her powers
I agree with how Lloyd keeps taking the spotlight.
Zane's character development is the worst in ninja team. Writers totally forgot about him, especially in new ninjago
@@whaleblubber7481 They only care about lloyd
I love these, I would love a part 3
Hot take: Decoded is used only for an entire filler season. I honestly didn’t know it existed until I saw the poster a while after is came out. Lego kinda used it for a bunch of old clips. When I saw it existed I thought that I missed an entire season until I finished watching it. After I watched it I thought “oh wow I wanted my time”
Zane’s sacrifice should’ve done something to him
I’m okay with the fact that he came back, but at least have some kind of repricussions.
Zane's my favorite ninjago character 😩😭😭😭😍😭😍❤😩😭❤👏😭😩❤😭😭😭😭
He's my favourite to ❤😍😭
Same😭😭♥️♥️
Faq I hate ""him""
zane is trash kia is better
Zane has been my favorite character since day one!!! And he will be until NINJAGO stops.
Am I the only one that sees that the Ninjago movie hood piece make the ninjas look like Ninja turtles with their rounded heads.
I mean, seasons 8-10 were all BEAUTIFUL and all, but at the same time, some of it kinda felt like it was written by some 14-year-old who just listened to Billie Eilish for 7 hours straight...(but THEY'RE STILL AMAZING!)
Also, people often tend to overlook some _beautiful_ things this season gave us. Example:
-fUgIdoVe
-R E V E N G E (it was kind of annoying, ngl, but it had some great meme potential!)
-B E R N I E
-Pixane became the first ship where both of the people in it admit they love each other (CONGRATULATIONS, writers! You've managed to give some other ship besides Jaya some screen time! Now don't be shy! Give us a Kailor episode!)
-Forbidden Spinjuitzu looks BEAUTIFUL
- **inhale** AKITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
-B R O B R O G U G U
-Jake
-Antonia
-Lil Nelson
-THE CHICKEN-
The one thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the ending and the aftermath. I hated how they _casually_ brushed the fact that he committed *literal genocide* and *almost murdered his friends.* They should have used season 12 (like you said) as a way for him to get over the PTSD of *murdering thousands of innocent children.*
story had a lot of potential, but the writing was a disaster, and there were way too many filler episodes. beginning was also too childish.
@@empirestate8791 yikes, I forgot this existed…
Welp, time to cringe at myself from almost a year ago :D
Have the “new” Zane be the same but not have the memories or personal experiences of the old one. The “new” Zane will not be an Elemental Master as that was gifted to the old one. This Zane’s journey will be about be breaking out of the old one’s shadow and deciding on whether he wants to be Zane, The Elemental Master of Ice, The White Ninja in which he tries to rediscover his abilities or become Zane, the Titanium Ninja or maybe a mix of both
The “Nya is gorgeous comment end of story” cracks me up every single time
13:54 you know it’s the love triangle, and the overload coming back cheapens the final battle
What if garamadon was bitten by the great devour, would he had still had the power of destruction?
@@vesha6274 the mascot was Kai as seen on the boxart of all the sets.
I am sorry if I spoiled s11 for you. :(
If season 6 didnt end like that, there would be no ninjago.
Literally half the hot takes: Ninjago isn't good anymore, it's not as good as it was,it needs to get better,it sucks now.
If people have those opinions then why do they even bother watching??
if all you're going to do is criticize then why spend time watching something that you apparently don't even like???
Thanos: because as long as there are those who remember what was, there will always be those who are unable to accept what can be.
I feel like if zane stayed dead it would add character development for the ninja but in season 4 the ninjas entire motives were to find an old friend
If you think about it the ninja don’t need zane, they need someone with a balance of power although they said they would never replace him
I see the filler episodes as like an interlude on an album where you can skip it and still get the whole story but it is nice in context of the complete project
hot take: I really enjoyed season 12 and I'm not sure why its so hated.
10:48 so in summary, Cole is built different
low key agree with the last one. Zane feels filler
rebooted is my favourite season, I love the weapons, I love the enemy, and the ninja going into the Digiverse was one of the best episodes of all time.
Awesome Vid ❄️
if Zane died master Wu would be sent stuck in the never realm
He destroyed a whole species
I think the side plot they are talking about in Rebooted is the Jay/Cole/Nia love triangle, which i honestly agree with
hot take: new designs are nice but unrealistic. ok maybe it's logical that lloyd gets a new haircut, maybe kai healed his other scar and got a new one on the other eye, maybe jay just naturally changed his haircolor, fixed his split eyebrow and got freckles.
