As Mikey Pipes says "hacks bring me stack"! That install is insane, but probably not the worst you've seen either. Sad what the trade has become. Thanks for doing it right.
That is INSANE. Now, your response about mounting it on the unit... I think it is technically fine, I would practice never doing that because of other bad practices that may end up happening. But that has got to be the wildest garbage I have seen in HVAC.
WOW, That shit is crazy! Looks like the lowest bid won kind of job before. How the hell does the manager or owner not do anything about these units! He paid all that money, the least he can do is take care of them. Hopefully they hire you to maintenance them from now on.
Keeping fasteners from removed/trashed equipment? I would. Take a compressor power connector to test port/terminals for meter and supply power for diag. Use power probe work?
@spaceboy7192 @spaceboy7192 😁 I'm comparing and sharing. Any reasonable person would choose our install over the other but if you want I'll send those guys your way if I find them. I don't think they will brag so they should meet your standard.
I did notice at the end of the video where " they " blew the refrigerant charge after dropping it, we are not a third world country, we all need to do a better job.
@phoenixhvac-r828 I just think the guy didn't know how to use the equipment properly to avoid the damage and you are right we can all strive to do better. The best we can do is to pay more attention to our flaws and correct them.

Nah 😂 that disconnect is WILD
@@AB_HVAC horrible
Those Daikin installers should be sued and stripped of any licenses they probably don't hold anyway.
Crazy
Yeah, can't strip what they ain't got. SMH!
Man im proud of these dudes. They are solid cats. Usually people say we Jerry rig stuff. I'd like to see who did that crap. 😂😂

@dus10dnd Yea, I wouldn't want to mount it on the unit unless I had no choice but it will not be on the fins of the condenser.😆
Those installs was some nasty work up there 🤧 that was crazy

Obviously the roofers!!
They do make outdoor flex gas line but that's not it but for that unit there is no reason to use it
It'll be alright

They Trashed that unit.

Seen stuff like that in Abilene breaker box laying in water on the roof. Everything on unit exposed.

Looks like you need to get you a couple ladder winches and take off the cost of the crane delivery in your pockets..

Small cranes don't cost that much. It's usually reasonable for the amount of work they do.

I'm thinking you should delete your scrap yard clip. Clearly recovering the refrigerant is an option in Texas. BTW tie your boots, ur gonna trip
Why didn't you just push the unit of your trailer and you should aways remove the refrigerant before dumping it.

Wheres the straps on your liquid tight? And the base that it sets on? Lol that would not pass code here.
@Caribbeansurfbro 😆 Why are you judging it based on codes there? We passed here.
You hardly ever see Permits being pulled on simple change outs, guess you don't have to worry about workmanship til property go up for sale.
@phoenixhvac-r828 Even if you install a used condenser you need a permit in Abilene, TX. That doesn't mean that everyone will pull one though.
Why didn't he simply grabbed the unit on 2 sides and left the whole unit up, was it too heavy for the machine to actually pick up?
@@moemoes5989 not sure if I'm following your question correctly.

@KevinfinityDrums Oh, yes he did damage the trailer.
