I had a service manager tell me I should be replacing flame rods instead of cleaning them because he thought they had a special coating and told me the coating goes bad and cleaning them would cause call backs. I tried explaining that its not true. Its just a piece of metal rod. He didn't believe me. SMH. I didn't stay there long.
I call you great I just discovered your videos this morning and I like how to videos. I have a Coleman eb15b electric furnace and I am gonna try to rebuild it this summer. I like your honesty
Unless you put deep cuts in it or to get to the actual score of it, no you didn’t do any damage. I seen people do that before most of them just like replacing it though easier for them.
Some people be always hating, like everything has to be done their way. I’ve been in service for 15 years and only had to replace 2 flame sensors because the porcelain was cracked. I use scotch-brite to clean them. Not one time have I ever had to replace a flame rod because the metal was wore down.
@dinojimenez68 🤔 doesn't that have a wire wheel in it? Supco wouldn't be selling a tool that will damage the flame rod, would they? The real ones are standing in the paint tonight on this subject gentleman.
For many reason. I'll share 3. One is to uphold volition. Two is to show how we can be influenced by intellectuals to believe something that isn't true and 3 RUclips has made it possible for me to capitalize on the aforementioned.

Ted Cook likes to use a $100 bill to clean the sensor!
