- How to Install Vertical Shiplap in your Home Renovation.
Installing vertical shiplap in this small bathroom renovation, really transformed this 100 year old home renovation. Vertical Shiplap is a trendy new take on a classic material like shiplap. Shiplap is expensive but when flipping a house we think its ok to splurge on the kitchen and bathroom remodels.

LOVE the vertical shiplap. Even more impressed with the color and the gorgeous vanity!
Us too! Thanks so much!
Great content! Definitely a fan of the vertical shiplap. Loved watching the process from beginning to end.
Great video! We recently bought a 115 year old house that was mostly covered in wood paneling but once you throw some paint over it just like you guys did with the shiplap..it looks so amazing.
Wooo! New video. Keep the new content coming. Always great stuff.
🙏
Looks great. I had a playroom in my house with paneling. It was textured too. I thought I would try painting it, if I liked it, great, if not then I would take it down and do drywall. Anyway, I loved it. It looks like your bathroom, it's even the same color. I did the ceiling with wood tongue and grove and painted it white. Now it's my favorite room. I love that the walls have texture too.
Couldn’t agree more, the texture makes it!
My favorite bathroom so far ❤
😁
Wow, incredibly what you did with less than $700. It looks really good and I like that green you went with. Very earthy look. I can tell you guys know what you’re doing. Using all the correct lingo… like furring strips. Most people don’t know that’s what they’re called. Nice video too. 👍🏽
That’s beautiful
Thank you!
Excited to see more.
Stay Tuned!
Woah! Love that green. I know it’s a bathroom but it feels super cozy. Like a place you would want to have German chocolate cake in. 🍰
Love it!
Great video.
Thank you!
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing
Great job!
Turned out great!!
Thank you!
Although this is a trend right now but i still like the diagonally paterrns or herringbone better. You can play around with it on a 45 degree angle and come up with all kinds of designs
that looks great, also look like a lot of fun :).
Thank you for sharing
really like your channel
😁Thank you!
Recently discovered the channel. cool content and a joy to watch. But as an European it hurts my eyes to see how all the US houses are just wood with mostly dry board. Isn't sound insolation in-between the rooms terrible?
Hi, I’m just curious what is common for your interior walls in Europe or wherever you are?
Great tutorial! Can I install the furring strips on dry wall (attaching it through the dry wall to the studs) horizontally? We want to install vertical shiplap, but we don't want to take the drywall down.
Yeah you can as long as the depth isn't a issue. You'll need box extenders for outlets and switches and some longer screws for them. Usually have a issue around doors and windows because it will come out so far. Think about it You'll be adding almost another inch and a half. 3/4" fur and 5/8" shiplap. Another option would be to find all the studs through the drywall and mark them all and just put your shiplap right on the drywall. Glue and nail it
I'm glad yall realized that what you did was basically painting wood paneling. :-/
In person the texture of actual wood walls vs paneling is a drastic difference and it looks amazing in comparison.
