    Smelting tip I've been using a lot recently, is to have a piece of dripstone under a lava source block. If you leave one block of air below the dripstone then place a cauldron, the cauldron will eventually fill with lava. A single bucket of lava can last for more than a stack of smelting.

    Fact about every ore in minecraft :
    Iron , this is the most useful ore in Minecraft , you need iron for diamonds !
    Gold , sure , you might say it’s trash , but it has the best enchanting overall than others , now you might say : “ bUt iT’s ThE MoST fAsT BrEAkiNg OrE iN MiNEcRAft “ it’s used to craft golden apples , and any golden tool/armour + mending and unbreaking = Best armour/tool , golden hoes are used for XP. You need gold to craft netherite.
    Diamonds , best. that’s it.
    Netherite, came to take over diamond , very useful in single player , but banned in multiplayer.
    Lapis Lazuli , i mean-
    Redstone , high technology and can be used for the most whole some builds !
    Emerald , rarest material , really useful.
    Copper , really good with building , and lighting rods are really useful for redstone.
    Coal , used to smelt gold and iron , and can be used to turn armour and tools to their origin.

    I rarely spend time looking for Iron because you can always get it from Iron Golem, which is why my first priority is finding a village. Even if you don't have enough stuff to make Iron farm, you can always make a simple kill chamber using campfire without need to worry about Iron Golem being hostile. Just dig 3X3X3 hole where Iron Golem frequently making rounds and place campfire in the middle. You can make 1 block staircase for collecting drops so Iron Golem can't climb up after it falls down. When you see Iron Golem getting near the kill chamber, just push it until it falls down to the hole. It might be slow, but it's better then attacking it and getting risk to be killed. You can also slowly building your resources to make a proper Iron Farm.

    For me the best way to get emeralds fast is to use cartographers and librarians. Some librarians sell 4 glass for 1 emerald, and after zombifying and curing the cartographers twice they buy 1 glass pane for 1 emerald. Librarians let you buy 48 glass at a time for 12 emeralds, which can be turned into 128 glass panes. These can be sold for 128 emeralds, for 16 at a time, so for every librarian you need 8 cartographers. With just 13 emeralds you can turn them into glass then panes then emeralds, and do the same with the emeralds you just got, you’ll have enough for a full beacon because you get 10.67x the number of emeralds you put in.

So in the interest of saving time for big projects and seeing as it's not adding anything into the game files like certain speedrunners, I personally don't consider it cheating. I will concede it ruins the exploration aspect, but if you're exploring for literal hours just to find one useless desert well in a crappy seed I don't think I could blame anyone for using it.

    Redstone ore already gives much, so that's why it only has 33% increase drop rate with a Fortune pickaxe. Also, beacons should be able to utilize Redstone blocks, since players would have their inventories full of it.

      Go cave with an empty bucket, lava sources are quite common underground, then duplicate it by putting it in a puddle with a dripstone underneath, and a cauldron under that. Approximately once per minecraft day (iirc the average time is 19 minutes), the cauldron will fill with lava, you can empty it and store lava in another puddle)

    I tested it my self, and using fortune vs silktouch on nether gold ore is statically EXACTLY the same. The fortune method saves on fuel and smelting time but silk touch saves on inventory space.

    • @michaellautermilch9185
      @michaellautermilch9185 Год назад

      Fortune 3 is actually about 11% better (1 nugget per block) which isn't a lot. A small sample size might not detect this difference. You would need like 1000 nether gold mining blocks to demonstrate accurately.

    • @Wihf

      That is not the case, you can test 1 million times, you will never get an average of 9 nuggets on nether gold ore with fortune 3. Silk touch it and you can get 1 ingot into a furnace(that is 9 nuggets) Sometimes you can get a close result,, but sometimes you get way lesst han that. Good, but would it be possible to do an early/midgame version of this? Beacons and Elytras are powerful, but that can only be done late game...

    • @jadenwilliams4807
      @jadenwilliams4807 Год назад

      With the mountains the Elytra was just for convenience. With the coal rather than the iron and emerald it was so common that just walking around was enough, but if you don't have an Elytra it's not like it's necessary you just have to walk a little more and be more vigilant. Same with the beacons, it's convenient but it's not like they give fortune, so as long as you don't mind taking a little more time without a haste beacon all these methods work early, mid, and late game.

    • @patrickm1
      @patrickm1 Год назад

      Same thing applies. Find ore veins for copper and iron, mountains for coal and emeralds, mesa or nether for gold, and strip mine at -58 for diamonds, lapis, and redstone.
