If a zombie picks up a totem of undying, there’s actually a way to get it back! Just give it a sword of any type, and it’ll prefer the sword over the totem
Ive always interpreted zombies having crops, iron ingots and tools as that they were just normal people/villagers and those were things they just had on them at the time of "turning"
I always assumed the potatoes and carrots dropped by zombies were supposed to be an undigested last meal of the living person before they got turned into zombies.
The traders threatened by zombies are actually good source for invisibility potion, although they will run and drink potion quickly, making killing them pretty difficult
@@testsubject6829 Well, actually you don't have to wait until night. When they are hit by projectiles from a mob, they will start to drink invisibility potion, so you can hit them with a sword and line yourself up with them so they get spitted by the training llama, and then quickly kill them with a looting III sword
More facts! - Through drowned conversion, Zombies also become a source of copper. - Aside from the Giant, there is also the unused Zombie Horse, which is functionally pretty identical to the Skeleton Horse. As with Skeleton Horses, the most unique property is that these mobs don't drown or float, and can be used to ride along the ocean floor, provided the player has some form of water breathing. - Zombies are one of two mobs that are playable in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the other one being Endermen, although between the two, Zombies are much more true to the source material. - Putting a hat on a zombie will not protect it from daylight entirely, as the head armor actually absorbs the damage from the sun and will, after a few day cycles, break from the damage. I can't find any test proof of this, but I think zombies wearing carved pumpkin will be safe indefinitely because carved pumpkins do not have a durability stat.
Zombies spawning with armor based on local difficulty can eventually start spawning with diamond armor and equipment. Gotta say, having a zombie spawn with a diamond chestplate, helmet, and axe near your base is hell
Ive been building a farm recently focusing on the zombie reinforcement mechanic and thought I would share a couple of extra facts. 1. Leader zombies base health is set to 20 but there max health can go much higher (90+) if harming potion is used to heal them 2. chicken jockeys and other jockey variants will not be moved by any entity interaction and will not be teleported if the riding zombie is targeted in a command 3. Reinforcements can spawn from any source of damage as long as they have any target (e.g. in my farm im designing I use magma blocks and villagers as targets) 4. reinforcements can track their targets through solid blocks and will not retarget another target unless out of range, moved to another dimension or their original target dies
I'm surprised you didn't mention the swarming behaviour, where if you attack one, all zombies in a radius are aggravated, even further than 35 blocks, and they don't even need line of sight.
5:20 small mistake, that feature got removed from bedrock a few years ago. While the drowned may still be converted with a trident, it will not drop when killed
I'll add to your comment, I haven't finished the first 30 seconds of the video, but I think I know what you are talking about. I had a zombie spawner that was set up to drown the zombies and turn them into drowned to get tridents. I believe I got nautilus shells, and copper, but I couldn't get a trident. Then I did some research and found they removed the chance of converted zombies to have tridents. Also my non drowned zombie farm is really deep and uses water in 4 corners to push zombies toward a centre hole. This occasionally gives me glow squid drops because they will fall and die. So I'd like to note that
Another fact: On Bedrock, when a zombie turns into a drowned, they drop all their armor and held items. These items are also at full health so long as you didn't hit the zombie. Lastly, there is a bug with this that has been around ever since zombies could turn into drowned. That bug is that on rare occasions, zombies that turn into drowned won't drop their helmet. This causes a slight visual bug because drowned have a larger head, so the helmet will be inside their head and will show through at some small spots on their head.
I remember being in cave in bedrock edition and seeing a zombie that had a baby riding its back, once i killed the zombie the baby ran to a spider and just hopped on and i had no idea that they could do that and even thought it was bug lol
The best strategy for early survival is find some zombies with swords and golden armor and make them drown, so that you can take their thing all in one piece!
You make the best videos. I work hard and have no time to play Minecraft anymore. I have sons of all ages that love this game. Your videos make this dad look like a Minecraft expert to a 6 year old! Thank you my dude.
I know it’s never been explained but I always assumed that zombies were supposed to of picked up the carrots or potatoes as they clawed themselves from the ground!
I've been playing my survival world for over 2000 minecraft days and I came across a zombie in full diamond armour about a month ago, was so cool but I didn't spare it which I kind of regret now.
The zombie probably spawn due to the cave going under the ocean around the mushroom Island, that can be a problem because there isn’t very many entities so a lot can spawn in small areas once that happens.
I love capturing two zombie villagers so I can start a trading hall later. If your base is in the badlands like mine, it's way more convenient than kidnapping someone from a village & transporting them hundreds if not thousands of blocks. I like how that gives us the option to start up a new village nearly anywhere.
If you lightly suffocate a zombie in sand, will it dry out into a husk? It'd probably just die but maybe there IS a way to turn a zambo into an ashy boi.
I have a zombie xp farm in my base, and I put down my shulker box and went to go pick it up and I thought I lost it for a sec when I realized one of the zombies in my farm picked it up!
"spawn chunks are OP" video talking about the different approaches to spawn chunks staying loaded. I've seen people completely fill them with farms, kill every mob and spawnproof, blow it up, etc. I've also learned the hard way not every farm works in the spawn chunks 😅
Idk how it works on java, but on bedrock you can always get the items and armor a zombie has if you turn it into a drowned because they drop those items
Something that I think nobody have ever noticed about zombies in minecraft, is that during Christimas when a zombie attack a village, the village don't turn into a zombie villager. They just die
About the helmet thing that zombies pick up, if they are wearing a helmet In daylight, the helmet will start taking damage instead of the zombie until the helmet breaks and then the zombie will start burning again if I'm not mistaken. And about the Turtle eggs, if a baby Turtle is near a zombie, the zombie will attack baby turtles
wow such perfect timing, this video is about zombies, funny story:while i am mining i actually found a zombie spawner and i died once and i died for about 6-7 times trying to retrieve my items(this happened just recently)
Incredibly useful fact I founded it in last month : listen if a zombie or husk wear your armor or spawned with diamond armor trap him like you have husk trap him and pour water on him to let him turned into zombie it will drop that armor with no durability loss I use it everytime in bedrock edition idk it works in java or not thank me later and not only zombie I guess it will works with skeleton or piglins also but you have to turn skeleton into stray with placing snow on skeleton feets and taking piglin to overworld to let him become zombified piglin
I've been told that zombies and zombie villagers do not despawn if you can get them to hold an item, however, I haven't gotten them to pick up a single item i've ever thrown at them. Do they like to pick up certain items more than others? What about armor? Do they despawn if you give them armor to wear?
If you want a quick armor in early game, Just go around at night and find a zombie with armor, then try to drown them, that way you'll get 100% drop rate of the armor, and the armor will have full durability
zombies that convert to drowned do not spawn with tridents in the current version of bedrock edition, that was a bug a while ago. they do convert with nautilus shells though
But sometimes a zombie will detect me when I'm FAR away. Close enough to still see it hasn't disappeared, but (SUPPOSED TO BE) far away from it noticing you
Unless it got removed in an earlier version, baby zombies and zombies villagers could grow up while still being on a chicken, so you would have a chicken carrying an adult zombie/zombie villager (iirc)
The timestap name at 21:44 is incorrect, it says zombie natural armor, and the second one after it also says the same, the 21:44 is supposed to be something about rotten flesh

@@ehou1778tyyy
One detail about the sun protection part (11:13), their helmets will constantly take damage and eventually break if the sun is up.
Iirc, this can be circumvented by giving a head item that has no durability like a carved pumpkin or a mob head.
Wow I did not know that, thanks!
Wow nice
@@ellisbourgoin3932 pumpkins are endless
Fun fact: if your home base has enough villagers to consider it a “village”, zombie raids can happen too!
I had 20 zombies show up at my house…
Note: This is only possible Java & not in Bedrock Currently.
All you need is one bed and one villager to start a raid.
Fun fact: The Zombie is actually the oldest mob currently in the game since the human mob gets removed

I think they steal it from villages😂
I thought *sense carrots and potatoes are plants that grow underground* that the zombie just had them growing out of there body’s.

In Minecraft Bedrock, if a Zombie with armour turns into a drowned, it drops it's undamaged armour if you didn't hit it

Golden carrot is so abundant by farmer villagers and with fermented eye it's so cheap anyway ●︿●
But free things is different feeling 🗿
@ryuk2883 yeah dude 1 emerald for 3 golden carrots is so good, I know what you mean tho I feel dirty for buying everything for so cheap
If the wandering trader doesn't have good trades, I wait till night to kill him. I have 4 potions of invisibility so far~
@@testsubject6829 Well, actually you don't have to wait until night. I wish there's a zombie horseman wearing a pumpkin and wielding its shovel, just like how the skeletons can ride their own horses
Yeah they should make the zombie horse useful and able to appear somehow in survival

Not so fun fact a drowned with a trident with impaling v is so broken especially if it has been given a strength potion in bedrock
When you've been grinding for hours, of course, this becomes a not-so-small mistake.
What is not mentioned is that in 1.20 it is much more likely to meet a zombie holding an iron shovel than any other type of instrument
Another fact: On Bedrock, when a zombie turns into a drowned, they drop all their armor and held items. These items are also at full health so long as you didn't hit the zombie.
