    Speaking of tapering, I heard about the water taper method, it's very easy. I wanted to taper my son off Sertraline and 12.5 was as small as the pharmacy could give, so I dissolve the pill in 50ml of water then use a 5ml syringe to pull water out removing 10%. I plan on removing 10% per month.

      Thanks so much for sharing your experience. There's been a lot of discussion on this kind of DIY water tapering for all the reasons we discussed in the pod, so thanks for highlighting it! The attention to this is good as more solutions (punny!) should come soon to help with tapering. It's important to note how essential it is to work with a pharmacist and your practitioner for support with this, particularly as some meds are not water soluble. In those cases, the solution must be stirred constantly until measured and then may still be really inconsistent across doses. A practitioner can help folks determine if another liquid might be more effective (e.g., milk).
