To anyone else that tries to put your metal plate for the box back on and runs into “this thing absolutely will not fit! What the heck???”: - make sure the BMS plastic cover was cut properly and is not pinching any wires - the quart IS a MUCH tighter fit and the lid will not sit flat if you rest it on the box like the stock battery. You have to pay attention where they say “get all the screws STARTED first and THEN torque them down. It will feel like super bad and weird doing it but if you do it that way it WILL end up sitting in there okay. I had a legit 3mm gap between the lid and box before I got them all tightened down.
I'm contemplating getting this for my Pint, but how do you check battery levels with the new battery? I assume that both the light indicator on the board and the app won't be accurate anymore
On the app, you can see the voltage for the battery as well as the percentage. The battery comes with a little chart that says what voltage is which percentage, for example if the app says 62.25v your battery is full. Chibatterysystems also sells a battery indicator that you can attatch to your pint
I heard Future Motion is cracking down pretty hard on upgrades. Is this still good and compatible on the Pint? I heard that messing with the battery can brick the board…
Hey guys, i have a good question. I have this Quart battery and i have stored the OW for a while with a good charge during my wife pregnancy so i haven’t had time to ride. But as soon as i got back on the OW. I fully charge and few miles later it seemed the battery was already dying on me in just half of the battery as if Im back to a stock battery. It seem the Quart is not holding its charge anymore? What do you guys think has happened? Thanks all!!
To anyone wondering about buying one of these. I would not recommend it. They are of poor quality. I've had one and after about 2,000 miles I've already lost 3.5 miles. These are not worth the money they are asking. I hope I save someone else money.
The tip for cutting the gasket/o-ring is MAGIC! I had sooo much trouble putting mine back in ha ha!
I fucking love the OW community. The dedication for something like this to exist is nuts
best decision i ever made was installing a quart in my og pint
mines pending rn how long did it take for them to ship for you?
@@OldTownShreddermine took 2 1/2 weeks
@@OldTownShredderMine took 3 weeks, have you got yours in yet

Running into that problem rn, thanks
Will the new update mess with the board with this installed?
Can you take the pint with the quart on a plane

More!!
I can't get the metal plate to close.
(edit: i sanded down some of the plastic now it fits.)
saw you guys even swapped a. GT!!! hope by the time my battery of my gt dies we are able to make the CBGT :D
Any tips to make the app tell you an accurate percentage of the new battery? Or that's still not possible? :C
Check the voltage
I heard Future Motion is cracking down pretty hard on upgrades. Is this still good and compatible on the Pint? I heard that messing with the battery can brick the board…
That’s on the GT
Because my Onewheel fender screw is stripped and I would by this if I could do it
hey was just wondering when ill be able to purchase a quart with an updated firmware :/
there are ways to rollback to a compatible firmware
How Do You Check For Software Of Your OneWheel? ❤
In your app under diagnostics
How do i tell if my board has the right firmware or the 5314/5050 Gemini ?
the app
How do you check the real battery prescrntage of the onewheel after the batter swap since we can no longer see the battery voltage in the app anymore
They sell a separate indicator

If you updated to a newer firmware you've been locked out of your extra range
@@haymose_ this happened way before i updated the app. What could it be?
Does this void the warrenty
Yes
Do u need to take the fender off
Yep
The fender is the easiest part to remove, what is the issue?
Will the battery meter on the front footpad still be accurate after the upgrade?
No.
nope, gotta check voltage
What is the Mah of yours vs stock?
4250 mAh
Stock: 3500 mAh
I’ve heard that disconnecting the battery cable will automatically brick it. Is this true?
inwish we could get more answers i’ve been trying to find this out myself
I've read that this is the case with the GT
If you have the GT, it will brick the board, but the Pint won't brick.
@@Mike_Jones281 Are you sure with the pint x it is safe to disconnect the battery?
@Joka.3000 Not with the Pint X.

2000 miles is a lot, I’d consider it solid vs just getting the factory replacement
Plus losing 3.5 miles is still more range than the stock battery
Buying a Pint and rewheeling it is the way to go.
