I had similar experience with that receiver. X6b was the receiver which worked best for me. Finally gave up flysky all together to get frsky instead.

I have had real good luck with the X6bs, but this build was too tight for one. I had great luck with the Flit10 receiver! I have a video on my channel going 500m with poor antenna mounting. I thought the fli14+ was the same receiver with a different firmware for the RSSI, but clearly there's something different.
I've seriously considered getting a QX7, but I think I'm going to get a Nirvana radio when they get all the kinks ironed out. I'm pretty heavily invested in Flysky receivers, it would be a bit of an expense just to swap half of them over :P

@@drrossfpv776 i saw dronemesh did a video about modifying a flysky transmitter to take a crossfire module. That could be one way to go. I switched to xlite and R9 lite.

    • @drrossfpv776

Yeah, you can run a crossfire with the PPM signal from the rear port, but it's a much slower protocol. Might be fine for cruising, but I don't know how it would hold up for fast acro flying. It's more of a 'yes it works' than a viable alternative.
The xlite isn't something I've considered too seriously, I don't like the tiny screen. How do you find it to use? It might have been a good thing to pick up during the R9 promotion that was going on.

@@drrossfpv776 I love the form factor of the xlite. Went from a spectrum dx6i to a turnigy evolution. Except for the range and failsafes I loved that transmitter. The xlite is better in every way than one imho. The protective cap on the evolution was ingenious! I considered nirvana, but I didnt trust the flysky receivers anymore. I got the R9 lite with R9 mm for 30 usd during the promotion.

Thanks man, you just saved me 13 bucks and maybe a whole quad! ;)

I had same problem, its been voltage from motors to frame. Check voltage from ground to frame when motors speen fast by betaflight motor testing.

    • @drrossfpv776
      @drrossfpv776  5 лет назад

That's an interesting thought! It's not something I've checked, but I will look into it. Everything is well isolated on this quad, but the dancing pixies behave strange sometimes.
Maybe I will add a small LC filter in the power line to the receiver.
      Thanks for the feedback!

Judging by some message on RC Groups, more people are having problems with the Fli14+, seems like the issues with the A8S are starting all over again, except with a different receiver...

Ich hab den Fil14+ jetzt in meinen neuen GEPRC Hummingbird gesteckt. Hoffe lässt mich nicht im Stich?! Scheint bei RSSI

Sorry, I only speak english, I hope you can understand.
That's what happened here. It's only about 30 meters from me, too. Range seems much lower than it should be. You can see at the beginning, I went about 100m from me, and it was around 40 or 50 RSSI. I'm going to experiment with some antenna placements and see if I can figure anything out.

I have the same issue it just fail safe within 50mtr but the RSSI is still strong could it be the TX issue or RX. which is the best option other that fli 14+ for a micro 115 mm build??

It's a problem with the fli14 receivers, there are a lot of people having the same problems. One guy has has good luck with replacing the antennas, but I wouldn't count on that.
I have had good luck with the flit10 receiver, there's a video on my channel range testing it, it's linked in the video description. There are some new receivers that just came out that no one has tested yet, which look fantastic on paper. I'm going to order a couple and do some range tests with them. You can see them here:
      bit.ly/xbossRX
      bit.ly/xr602RX
      bit.ly/xr401RX
Note that I haven't tested these ones yet, so I don't know if they're any good either, but I hope to get to them soon.

Sorry you found this video after the fact!
I have briefly tested the new FSx14s receiver ( bit.ly/Flyskyx14s ), it seems to be good, but it doesn't support RSSI out of the box. I have a video on my Instagram, if you use that.
Something else to consider are the Crossover-rx receivers ( bit.ly/xr602RX ). I had some trouble with the first version last year, but I have been talking with them recently and they say the firmware has fixed the issues I was having. I have a couple of the new models coming to test out, I'll be making videos to test their performance when I receive them.

But dont understand why the video feed is also disturbed at the point of rxloss...looks like any electric noise in the feed...maybe this: ruclips.net/video/vub-qSFFhKQ/видео.html
