Consideration for the resource and ethical fishing put you way ahead of everyone else on RUclips. Thanks for leading by example!! Great video as always!
Definitely enjoyed this video. My favorite fish...flounder! Great for any kind of meal to make. Especially fish tacos! Great video brother! Keep on catching, I'll keep on watching! Tight lines never stop!
Nice thats an out of the box style of thinking. I use creature baits and horny toads down here in florida and catch a ton of redfish. They imitate crab and other crustaceans pretty well. Fish eat what they want when they want don't they?
I'd love to see a through and through "this is what I do before I get on the kayak"video as a new and aspiring kayak angler I'd like to see how you prep and transpo you and your gear to the water
Please make a video of your perspective on the flounder season in NC. Size limits, creel, season that is constantly being moved and changed, rec. vs. commercial, compared to neighbor states, etc.
@@rupertmedford3901 I doubt that . We fish it and we all follow the law. All our buds also. I say its the netters who leave a trail of bycatch behind their full pull . I've seen it more than once. When other states closed netting, here they come to NC. I understand NC has about 500 commercial licensed .
Love your videos, stuck in Ozarks, which I love, fishing is good, but Ocean fishing is so interesting, caught only one flounder,in my life & that was surf fishing! Getting my kayak out on new piece of river soon, tight lines!
That's the kind of problem I'd like to have... A flounder on every cast! Love to see you get back on some drag screaming toothy critters or maybe some top water Magnum trout! Thanks for always lighting up my day!👏👊
I fish in southwest Louisiana and we do have a good flounder population but fish in the 20”-23” range are rare except in November! Have some voodoo shrimp and will try them! I mainly fish gulp mantis shrimp and swimming mullet. Enjoy your videos
@@fishinfinaddictyttv3122 I have only been catching small ones in a canal with a lot of drop offs to deep holes right off the main river. Haven't gotten back in the marshes to see if there are any better ones.
Good deal, Elias- Up here in the lower Maryland Chesapeake Bay region shrimp lures are some what effective late in the season in mid to late September...not a lot of native shrimp this far up from the ocean...
@@TerenceBrashear thanks man but i looked in my area and didn’t really find much at my price range. I know it’s kinda cheap but I wanna spend around 300$ on one And the only good one I could find was on Walmart and it’s called a lifetime angler….. they’re sold out
I have tried em and they do catch fish. They last a lot longer than the gulp.Good combo with the Procure. Ashamed you can’t keep a limit. I hate that law. Last time we went to the pier my son caught a nice one and my Wife caught maybe a keeper both had to go back!
Sorry to ask man but, like me, my phone is pretty old and I can't tell. Are you up tide of that rock wall or down tide? I've got a similar mark here in Spain (Yes, we do have a tidal flow in the Med). We don't have the same fish as you but I'm sure these features must hold fish but, you've got to find out how to fish them to catch them.
You'd think you'd want to be on the down current side, so the bait comes in towards you. But from my experience, where he is, you can get them on either side.
Been bass fishing in the creek by the house every afternoon for the past couple months. Don't really care about catching bass, but it's accessible, easy fishing close to home. Caught more bass on Vudu shrimp than every conventional bass lure combined. Maybe cos it's brackish water and shrimp might be a natural forage. Personally, I think any fish in any body of water will react to a Vudu shrimp popping off of the bottom.
Sorry if this is not the right channel but I am new to Miami area just moved. Have a new kayak been fishing most of my life but would be great to meet other peeps in this area. Recos?
Always enjoy the vids Elias, the content is great very informative, everyone should smash that like 👍🏼 subscribe and comment, I’ve learned a lot an I’m sure others will also..🤙🏼🤙🏼..
Had this fluke spit a big white mass at my chest after I brought it to the surface. I believe it was a shrimp. But when I say big I mean it was over six inches long it wasn’t only long but thick over an inch in diameter and resembled a lobster tail. Felt as if a battery came out of the fishes mouth. I caught that fish on a 4 inch gulp green mullet. I’d love to find a bait (artificial or natural) that resembles the mass that hit me in the chest. Anybody think they could help me out?
Sorry, Elias, I'm too sick to watch the rest... The mismanagement of this fishery makes me embarrassed to be a North Carolinian. Signed, Missing Fresh Caught Flounder.
Vudu shrimp have became my favorite lure over the last 2 years. That natural color your throwing and the the glow color are the 2 best.
I love your videos because you make them about fishing and not about you. Some of these RUclipsrs have pretty big egos. Thanks for the great videos.

Great day on the water! Those VooDoo shrimp are great, I always keep a supply of them in my box! Great catch and release!!
I use the Vudu Shrimp in freshwater lakes and rivers, the steelheads of Lake Erie love them... They are not just for saltwater anymore... LOL
Do you catch them in the rivers on the shrimp?
@@fishinfinaddictyttv3122 I do, they for the most part look like a bug and the fish jump all over them... LOL

Ya'lls flounder regulations are too relaxed. They need to create a slot over there. It would help big time.
Awesome video Elias, glad you hit 100k, a well deserved milestone!
Gonna need a sticker on the yak that reads "Flounder Pounder" soon. Wish I had that problem down here in FL. I am lucky to get any keepers lately.
I can't find any in florida

You are lucky. Here in North Carolina there is no such thing as a keeper flounder unless you are a commercial fisherman.
Same here in Panama city FL
Been wondering about running a finger mullet under a popping cork? Would be cool if you did a video like that. Keep up with the good content
I fish Cocahoe and mud minnows under popping corks quite often. It’s a killer combo

Loving the videos lately, keep it up!!!
Will have to try that savage shrimp lure
Yep
Great flounder action with artificial shrimp !!

What's your criteria for deciding to fish inside or outside the basin? Water deeper on the outside rock wall?

How was the water clarity during this trip? Does the action of the lure get affected by the swimbait hook?

Craigslist for a used kayak and go for it.

Is it worth throwing a shrimp lure in NJ? Not sure if ppl use them up here
Do you think shrimp baits would work on summer flounder up North?
Does help when NC's season for flounder is very tight.

What do they call that jetty your fishing around? And why is it there? Protecting an inlet?

What is the best color for Vudu shrimp
How big do they have to be,some good eating there
Can you show the knots you use?
What procure is that?
What do you think is more important to the flounder, the presentation of that shrimp or the scent of the pro cure.?
