Hey! I just wanted to tell you that this video was awesome. Thanks for your insight. Keep up the good work! I wish every video was as informative as this one. As someone that is new to Sim Racing, videos like this are very valuable.
Good informative Video! rf2 and AMS are absolutly worth....feeling of FFB and Physix are amazing and for me non comparable with AC rf2 is a proper League and Endurance friendly Racing Sim, while AC aims to be a Driving Sim...i started PC Simracing with AC tried then rf2 AMS and iR, since then i didn't touch again AC
Another great selling point of rF2 is dynamics of track conditions, with different weather in different parts of the track and when it rains areas that dry are directly effected by tyres running over that surface, not some scripted drying line and 2 laps later all dry (PC2 will be interesting to see if they do that). Also you get marble build up off the racing line and day/night. There are plenty of videos out there of some very long endurance races, where you can also have driver swaps. Just a couple of months ago in rF2 they completed a 24hr Le Mans race, Multi class and streamed, with admins issuing full course yellows etc. It's really where rF2 shines the most. Also rF2 has just released first payed DLC and GT3 has arrived with McLaren 650S and 4 more expected in September, I also read Formula E is coming to rF2 officially too, and with Porsche and Mercedes now joining in, that will be very interesting. I own both rf2 and AC (I don't class Project Cars as a SIM as some fundamentals are obviously set up for game pads over realism) and depending on my mood depends what I drive. All I can say, if your in the market get both, all, they all do things the others don't and so much good racing/driving to be had.
Very true too, I was pointing out things that author of video missed out about rFactor 2 which are some of its strongest components and shows lack of either playing it or research. I have become a bit tired of "Should you Buy?" videos when not everything is covered properly, like AMS uses many of rFactor ISI code. As far as physics AMS he says is stronger than Assetto Corsa but offers no proof, just his opinion on feel (which is subjective based on equipment racing on too), rather than facts.:) Edit: but you're right Rush Smith the UI and many areas of rFactor2 feels a mess, looks a mess.
I am most looking forward to them also bring HTML overlays and making it possible to make our own, so we can get things like pedal and clipping display on DX11 and the all important info without needing a 3rd party dll. But yeah better UI I am also very keen to see, having seen some screen shots. rFactor 2 in many ways is frustrating at the moment cause you know under the hood is a absolute gem for sim enthusiasts.
In 2020 I must say that Automobilista has an amazing selection of mods. I'm particularly interested in historical F1 and the selection (and quality) of the mods is amazing. I can't comment on rFactor 2 or any of the other games. The handling and physics in Automobilista is really, really nice. Automobilista was a really nice breath of fresh air and I actually just bought it just to support the "untraditional" take on the racing sim. I ended up loving it even if I went straight from Codemaster's F1 series (which I still play on and off).
The value of AMS is superb physics/ffb calibration, also it has loads of mod tracks, and even some decent mod cars, it also looks decent and doesn't tax HW.
thanks for your review. Feels so unbiased to me. I get your thoughts about what appeals to who. If you want to get into some more hardcore racing, you make some great points
Both rFactor 2 and AMS have good sound, much better then Assetto Corsa (vanilla without sound mods) so don't say they sound average! And AMS V8 and V10 Formula cars sounds absolutely insane!
Man, this video is 100% spot on. Except for the analogy at the end. lol. My experience is that because these two games have such excellent ffb and tyre model, they come across as more natural to drive thus more "easier". I'd compare the riding blind folded to AC and PCars because there, the player has to compensate so much for information that's supposed to be conveyed by the wheel/ffb. Excellent video. You have yourself a new subscriber.
great video and great approach to clarifying things! my thought to add would be: there are Sim-Race and Sim-Cade Games (Cade for Arcade)! AMS and rFactor are the only real Sim-Race games out there that simulate real racing cars in all aspects! harder to learn but more rewarding when you get it!
One thing I'll say about Automobilista, please don't let the fact that there are a lot of lesser-known Brazilian tracks present in the sim, dissuade you from trying this title. The vast majority of those tracks are truly outstanding and rival many of the more world-famous/popular tracks.
Good and informative. Thanks for putting it together. Been running rFactor 1 and Papyrus Sierra NR 2003 since their release. Just grabbed rFactor 2 from Steam. It has a "thumbs up" from me as it is most definitely a big jump forward regarding physics, and to an extent graphics as well.
There is licensed content in AMS but I believe it is more to do with the Brazilian stock car series stuff than manufacturers like Ferrari, Porsche etc. as you mentioned. Great video and well explained. I also bought all I could get my hands on starting out last July and after running AC a lot and then getting into RF2 I have now started into AMS. I agree with your assessments on each title.
Excellent informative video . I have Assetto Corsa project cars 2 F1 2014/16/17 thrpey are good BUT I am always coming back to rFactor 2 and Automobilista why . THE PHYSIC
I'm on team AMS. It works well, sounds great, feels great, and lets you put a kart and a 2017 spec F1 car (with halo) on the same track, which could be anywhere between Le Mans and any karting track.
after starting to race a v8 rear wheel drive out on the track, ive found assettos tyre model 10 to be a bit closer to reality, for me. Rfactor in my opinion seems too twitchy and much easier to lose or much harder to catch a slide than out on the track for real.
Get all the ones in the next steam sale. That's my advice. The only thing you need to see is that if your PC meets the requeriments of the game. If you have an older PC, go with Automobilista. Maybe Race07 also...
Fair review. I have no experience with Assetto Corsa and project cars, so i cannot judge those. All i can say is that i absolutely love Rfactor 2 and the graphics in the sim are just fine with me. The realism in the driving is where i get my rush from. Combined realism with the current graphics make for a very immersive sim in my opinion. My "gaming resumé" holds sims like GP1 through 4, Grand Prix Legends, Rfactor 1 and now Rfactor 2 and automobilista. I honestly thought that the Rfactor modding community was the biggest in the world ;-) Thanks for clearing that. In the end, it is al personal, but i dont see myself buying AC/ PC anytime soon. What i do feel, maybe incorrectly, is that the many racing games/sims spread the community too much so that hurts the "getting together" a bit. I rather see 1 or 2 sims instead of 6 or 7.
Nice video! AMS was actually my first racing game I bought and i was really amazed with it. I got rfactor 2 a week ago and its SO good. Each have their own pros/cons. For example rfactor2's weather system. Id reccomend everyone to get both games because i think you cant really compare these games.
Great video! One thing though... I just can't get sick of rF2.. it's just an awesome game.. Getting better every day.. with a lot of cool combos to drive
I never liked how "unrealistic" the car handling was in Asseto Corsa. The brake threshold is very hard to grasp, the steering while precise it is not very direct and handling in corner is hard to master. All these annoyances really discourage me to use the steering wheel often. I will try rFactor and Automobilista and hope that they have more realistic physics so I can get a joy out of driving like I did with the first version of NFS:MW (while not realistic it thought me the basics of racing)!
im playing racing sims on and off but i still must choose AMS over anything because it just seems like the complete package from the get go with many championships to choose from. assetto corsa doesn't really have any championship and getting user made championships to work you usually need to DL or buy addons. AMS is pretty much perfect offline racing sim. also AMS has nice ffb right from the start.
nailed the video... after playing Rfactor 2 is noticeable less 'realistic' going back into Assetto Corsa. AMS 2 is a close second. What track and cars are you showing in this replay?
Was very interested in getting either iracing or rfactor. I'm a big F1 fan, I own assetto corsa and project cars, and I like 'em both. My biggest problem is that I don't really have a lot of time to invest, or wait 2 hours for the next race or something. And for me, it's weird, I don't see a lot of competitive modes for assetto corsa. I don't really care about just racing with no real objective besides winning. I would like a system with points, or ranks or whatever, where something is really "on the line" if that makes sense
The whole rfactor 2 vs AssettoCorsa thing I feel is just a repeat of the rfactor1 vs LiveForSpeed battle of roughly 10 years ago. LFS had better physics, but because of no modding support there just wasn't enough content (tracks, cars) to keep you playing for long. What was there was great, really high quality, there just wasn't much of it. Rfactor2 is todays LFS. Rfactor1 while arguably had worse physics more than made up for it with truly endless content. The base game wasn't even all that great, but what it allowed to do with mods is just incredible. There is more tracks than you can realistically learn in the next 15 years. Google your nearest local track...there is probably a mod of it for rfactor1. Mod quality varies though. Assetto Corsa took over(or is taking over) that role from rfactor1, with many rfactor mods ported(updated) for AC.
AM is Excellent. After playing Assetto, Raceroom about 2 Years, i decided to buy AM, and its incredible. The ffb is excellent, a few mods are not that good, but all in all its excellent, even a bit better then assetto corsa. I drive with a T300RS Ferrari Intergral Edition.
You can also factor in cost now, especially with rFactor 2. Their tracks are almost as expensive as iRacing! AMS has some excellent tracks available for free, you just need to sort the wheat from the chaff. AMS also has excellent GT3 mods :) I own both (plus Assetto) and I just can't get along with rF2 . They've been promising a ui update for the last 10 years and it's still not forthcoming........
Stock car and Formula truck are awesome, i wish more games had those categories, because they are pretty awesome. Thats what i like the most on automobilista, not many games have full categories with all the cars, pilots and tracks. Be able to race an entire season online (not on a single run, but like every week one "race weekend" on a different track) but with pontuation and penalties is DOPE AS FUCK.
C'om on Mike, your do'in my head in - I'm still trying to work out if I should buy Project Cars 2 & the WTCC pack for R3E, let alone the others..................... ha, ha.
@@konrad1101 rF2 is used in a few Driving schools/ Academies for practice. Even when Gran Turismo pulls winners from championships to GT Academy they switch you over to rFactor2.
may be rf2 has slightly better physics, maybe BUT ams is as a full package better sim than rf2. I have both ones and for last years only ams is being sexy on my pc :P
Mike, how do you make a replay video? Do you use shadowplay here to record replay from screen? How to play a replay file? From inside RFactor2? I'm trying out RF2, but I'm stuck in how to make nice video from replays. Hope you can advice me. Thanks
I've just started rfactor 2. Played the whole day and switched to AC1 same gt3 car on SPA to compare the physics. Wow rfactor is so much better. I was surprised. The grip feel is miles better. In AC1 it was like I'm on ice. I bashed RF2 and i take my words back. For some reasons my control file for t300 was mess up by default i had to change one line in it. Probably that's why i never felt the physics properly and always thought it was shit. RF2 is really great , as good as ACC.
TheKwod I'm on a pretty cheap thrustmaster wheel and the ffb in the demo, without any tweaking of my wheel or in game settings, is already better than what I have experienced in AC with plenty of tweaking...
rF2 is NOT just for direct drive wheels. Any wheel will work just fine. The real issus is the FFB is so good in rF2 that the better wheels just seem to work nicer because...well it is nicer
Automobilista hosts big motorsport divisions, like all modern and classic formula 1 series. Even 18 with halo. rFactor 2, even for casual players, the ffb will be noted instantly and the nordschleife is there for sure. Allot of famous big name tracks available for free. Just download it. And a ferrari challenge, bam, you got the most epic ferrari challenge on nordschleife. Allot can be found in the workshop, one click install.
dEFINiTELY rFACTOR 2 is the best sim out there, maybe not the best sound and graphics, but when you are driving . you need a sim like RF2 to feel that you are racing. AMS is a good one , but not enough
I think Rfactor2 May just edge it in the handling/physics department. But it's pretty damn close, and AMS is far better in other areas, more complete and polished mainly. I find myself playing AMS more due to Rf2 being less complete, and harder to enjoy due to the lack of quality mods/tracks, and out of the box play-ability. Plus it doesn't seem as well optimised. Does the Rf2 tyre model make a big difference to you? I think its not a huge difference. I'm glad I own RF2, but will wait until hopefully the new developers turn the game into something more solid, then it might be my fave sim. Until then, AMS is an absolute blast ! (and hopefully PC2 will be also. I think Assetto Corsa is a bit too floaty for my tastes.) Only thing I am not sure about regarding AMS, is when you drive over or clip a kerb, maybe it drags you too much and causes a spin out when it shouldn't ?
I do have to say, i just bought rFactor 2, played it for 15 hours while i have played 190 in ams, and rFactor feels way easier (no traction + no abs) compared to ams (same assists) 1 big thing about ams is that the player base is not big, rFactor 2 has alot of open server's running tho.
Where are these servers, I recently bought it again and cannot find any server which is opened with a good set of drivers. Is there a special website showing servers or a way to fix servers the way one could with rfactor. I remember Rfactor required a tweak to show more servers. ANy help would be appreciated.
some servers need passwords and some server need mods that are not hosted by the creator so the game wont download it, to join servers with passwords, you will have to get acces by joining the league that the server is from and if it has mods that you cant download you'll have to go to the sim website (most of the time it's in the server name) and most of the sim league's have a download page, but i found some servers that don't need that, but downloading takes a longtime sometimes! if you have anymore questions let me know!
Not to bad review and good for newer racers, once they realise they want to simrace rather than game race it's time to go Rf2 or if your loaded Iracing although physically Iracing is subpar
I loved your video. But some statements seemed a little off. You must be new to simracing because every Simracer that has been doing this for more than 5 years would have known rFactor, thus rFactor 2. Automobilista I am sure most people who know rFactor would know also. Anything that has to do with Reisa studios. Personally, I bought Project Cars and Assetto Corsa both on Steam when they released, but combined time played on both must be less than 1 hour. If I remember Assetto was the more SIM of the two but they both lacked pit stops (at least last I tried them). That killed it for me. A sim has to do with tyre management and pit strategies... IMHO
I will start saying that this is your opinion and i respect every bit of it but dont you think the comment ''vastly superior'' about the rf2 vs Ac physics is an overstatement.I mean i sim race a bit over 10 years now with every sim out there and i wouldnt say that.Yes there are differences, things missing in both but not vastly in any event. The point of this post isnt to create controversy and as i stated above its just opinions as everyone can and should enjoy the game/sim that he likes.
The point i was trying to make is that all sim dev teams push the envelope for us to enjoy and in that regard i am grateful to all of them by the means of purchasing their product. Also i never said thanks and well done for your video even though i still disagree with some things. Thanks for the vid once again :)
Nasos Charalampou I appreciate you checking out the video. And yes, the devs all work very hard to keep us happy. I haven't yet found a bad sim, just sims that are better at certain things.
If you don't have a beefy CPU, skip rFactor 2. It's hell. Resolution lowered and graphics turned all the way down and still can't maintain 60fps. Mini freezes are common and running more than maybe 5 AI cars causes the whole simulation to go to slow motion (aka 99% CPU occupancy). This is on an AMD A10 6700 and while it's not a great cpu, it can easily run iracing and Automobilista.
Nae.. Automobilista is good on a lowish spec machine. No reason why Rfactor2 can't do the same. I run two 970m's and luckily for me, sli works well for these two games. Not sure about future games tho...
AMS clunky Gui and poor pick up of my G920 wheel and loss of settings has it stashed at the bottom of my list. When it worked it was nice, but more often than not was a pita. Haven't tried Rf2 or AC yet.
bobbavet there is a separate branch (under the beta tab in steam properties) for AMS labelled G29. If you use this (despite the fact your a G920) this should work MUCH better for you. It’s transformed the game for me as it matches the degrees of turn for each car. They had to do this because of the limitations if the Logitech driver. Give this a try, you’ll probably change your mind on the game.
I had the same issue with AMS using a G27 and I wouldn't go back to it. I took a rally truck out for a spin on a track with jumps and everything about AMS was horrible. How could you go wrong with driving a rally truck off a 10' ramp? Well they managed to. I've tried just about every sim out there, but I always go back to AC. You can hop online and start racing just about anytime. It just needs a little more variety, a few ovals, separate online drifting rooms, and a rating system. I'm just getting around to mods and maybe even the SRS this weekend.
I think it stems down to which one is better and which one should you be spending more time in. These arent console games they wont break the bank haha
BattleOvce it's very good, yes. I was too harsh on it. I was comparing to RaceRoom, and it does fall short of that mark. Still very good sound though, you're right. Thank you for watching.
I have to disagree with you, AC features very immersive single player races. You can very well swing between racing against AI and multiplayer, both skill sets of drivers are similar aswell as driver behavior.
But only in the day. WHEN, in AC, you can race in a 40+ car field, with multiple classes, in a 24 hour race, in the rain or on a drying track, racing into the dark, through midnight and on to dawn, with driver swaps .., then I'll listen. But since you have never done that, and certainly not in AC, you don't know what you are missing in RF2.
IMHO, rF2 is geared towards single seaters and GT3s which is why I don't find motivating to play plus I'm way below competency with F1 cars without driver's assistance which I refuse to use, also my interest in F1 died with Senna; AMS has a huge variety, most of which is from rF1 but is crash prone when stuffed with so many mods. I brought AMS without the intention of rF2 but since I bought the latter via Steam sale, I've not touched AC since but haven't done rF2 much because of lack of suitable mods and personally wished the DRM Revival team chose rF2, not AC.
Man i watched all these video and got hyped up for this game but ended up returning it through steam, first return ever. Outdated UI, no players online, every good car and track hidden behind a paywall... The only thing that i would drive it for is single player testing, shame.
Waffeey yeah man, that sucks. Sorry you didn’t have a good experience. I can’t get enough of both of these titles. I agree about the UI and dead online community, but there is a crazy amount of free mods for both of these games.
SimRacing604 Just don't have the effort it takes to build the game up. It looks amazing what you can do with it but with already owning Assetto corsa, automobilista, and dirt rally it was way to frustrating how much you have to adjust and change. This is coming from someone who's first sim was rFactor so if anyone wanted to be impressed it was me, all i got from it was that the tyre model and overall handling was great. But for a game to be fun i think it needed more than just that. Thanks for these videos and the quick reply! Love your content.
Hey! I just wanted to tell you that this video was awesome. Thanks for your insight. Keep up the good work! I wish every video was as informative as this one. As someone that is new to Sim Racing, videos like this are very valuable.
Zeppelin0731 thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it.
Great video. I would just say that I love hotlapping, and AMS brings me a lot of satisfaction.
I realize I'm pretty randomly asking but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Jericho Kayson try FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
@Sage Hudson Yea, I've been watching on Flixzone for months myself :)
Finally a calm and mature RUclipsr who doesnt scream and go off topic. Great video. Subbed.
dude thank you! And welcome to the channel
I LOVE hotlapping in RFactor 2 because the physics are SO realistic, and the game is always improving.
Good informative Video!

rF2 Asia TV time and money.
Well rF2 just released a paid dlc with one car, the 650SGT3. AC has had that since Dream Pack#1.
Are you serous?
E0V0E0R0Y0M0A0N you can get 5 GT3 cars for 15€

You should buy both, but if you had to pick one Automobilista is the clear winner.

Assetto Corsa took over(or is taking over) that role from rfactor1, with many rfactor mods ported(updated) for AC.
the original rFactor is always the king
edit: ...not (since then, a lot has changed, but it still holds up for 2005)
What is closer to iracing? What has dirt? Drift? Oval?
AM is Excellent. After playing Assetto, Raceroom about 2 Years, i decided to buy AM, and its incredible. The ffb is excellent, a few mods are not that good, but all in all its excellent, even a bit better then assetto corsa. I drive with a T300RS Ferrari Intergral Edition.
You can also factor in cost now, especially with rFactor 2.
Their tracks are almost as expensive as iRacing!
AMS has some excellent tracks available for free, you just need to sort the wheat from the chaff.
AMS also has excellent GT3 mods :)
I own both (plus Assetto) and I just can't get along with rF2 . They've been promising a ui update for the last 10 years and it's still not forthcoming........
Stock car and Formula truck are awesome, i wish more games had those categories, because they are pretty awesome. Thats what i like the most on automobilista, not many games have full categories with all the cars, pilots and tracks. Be able to race an entire season online (not on a single run, but like every week one "race weekend" on a different track) but with pontuation and penalties is DOPE AS FUCK.
i just bought rfactor 2 off steam on discount, busy installing it now
C'om on Mike, your do'in my head in - I'm still trying to work out if I should buy Project Cars 2 & the WTCC pack for R3E, let alone the others..................... ha, ha.
Automobilista is pretty much rFactor 2's career mode.
As all your videos BRILLIANT thanks again off to purchase Automobilista
i think these 2 sims are best. Don't get why they aren't more popular.
LangCaster because they’re just not flashy enough as AC or PC2. For me RF2 is light years ahead of AC in drive ability
I have both ones and for last years only ams is being sexy on my pc :P
keep in mind, alot of rfactor 1 and stock car extreme mods are compatible with automobilista with a simple converter.
great video as this was my question, RF2 or AMS
Yes to both if youre a try every car and track type of guy. iRacing is restrictive in that regard. League racing and AI are good on both too.
Rf2 was designed to work with direct driving wheels, as such, any weaker wheel will suffer.
AMS OTOH, works beautifully with G29/T300/T500.
TheKwod I'm on a pretty cheap thrustmaster wheel and the ffb in the demo, without any tweaking of my wheel or in game settings, is already better than what I have experienced in AC with plenty of tweaking...
Same I'm on the cheapest old ffb wheel possible Logitech MOMO Racing and after some button mapping and no changes to ffb I love Rf2.
rF2 is NOT just for direct drive wheels. Any wheel will work just fine. The real issus is the FFB is so good in rF2 that the better wheels just seem to work nicer because...well it is nicer
Wich one has Super Trucks? Automobilista. Done.
I think Assetto Corsa is a bit too floaty for my tastes.)
Only thing I am not sure about regarding AMS, is when you drive over or clip a kerb, maybe it drags you too much and causes a spin out when it shouldn't ?
AMS has multiclass races
So does rF2
Automobilista has outstanding physics... and unique series ( like RallyX and and Formula truck )
Not to bad review and good for newer racers, once they realise they want to simrace rather than game race it's time to go Rf2 or if your loaded Iracing although physically Iracing is subpar
Absolutely AMS. It's incredible. The end.
rF2 alot better man
Upgrade to these 2????...Ffb is good in RFactor and thats about it
BOTH ONES, may be rf2 slightly better but AMS its also special.
if you have to choose, AMS 10 times out of 10.
if you can get both, get both ! and AC and iRacing ! :D
are they still popular?
rFactor is the Best!
Quick answer: YES!
Training wheels of when I switch from pc2 to assetto? OK thank you for that story time. After that sentence you played yourselve
you forgot about iRacing cause that is the biggest sim with largest player base.
thats the worst because of the price imo
And the largest price tag😅
Why not both?
IMHO
First couple of minutes is from which game?
I will start saying that this is your opinion and i respect every bit of it but dont you think the comment ''vastly superior'' about the rf2 vs Ac physics is an overstatement.I mean i sim race a bit over 10 years now with every sim out there and i wouldnt say that.Yes there are differences, things missing in both but not vastly in any event. The point of this post isnt to create controversy and as i stated above its just opinions as everyone can and should enjoy the game/sim that he likes.
Agreed. If someone prefers one game over another, it's up to them. Vastly superior is strong wording, yes.
You have to ask rF2 devs about the demo then. It sux.
So Nasos, what is your pick for driving physics closest to real cars, your top 3 ranks. rfactor2,AC, PC2?
5:00 rFactor 2 has Hotlaps also by the way
If you don't have a beefy CPU, skip rFactor 2.
Yea, I hope the new Rf2 devs can bring it up to par in other areas, and not just rely on the brilliant physics. Then it would be sweeeeeet.
if you drive a potato then don't complain when all you get to eat is chips
Nae.. Automobilista is good on a lowish spec machine.
No reason why Rfactor2 can't do the same.
I run two 970m's and luckily for me, sli works well for these two games.
Not sure about future games tho...
Bend Busters I was able to run Assetto Corsa at 12-20fps on an old laptop, but rFactor 2 was a nightmare on the same laptop
m3me 12/20 FPS ?? Hmm some real performance there .
Thanks champ
I had the same issue with AMS using a G27 and I wouldn't go back to it. I took a rally truck out for a spin on a track with jumps and everything about AMS was horrible. How could you go wrong with driving a rally truck off a 10' ramp? Well they managed to. I've tried just about every sim out there, but I always go back to AC. You can hop online and start racing just about anytime. It just needs a little more variety, a few ovals, separate online drifting rooms, and a rating system. I'm just getting around to mods and maybe even the SRS this weekend.
Automobilista all the way. The better question is why are you so poor you can't afford two cheap games? You need a side hustle or two or more.
I think it stems down to which one is better and which one should you be spending more time in. These arent console games they wont break the bank haha
You should buy Assetto Corsa, or Rfactor 2 forgiving shitty graphics, horrible menus and shitty multiplayer
I play only on weekend, like 8 hours on saturday and sunday... should I buy it? I think ams is much cheaper than rfactor 2 :
8:44
Live for Speed: *Am I a joke to you.*
Less known? BS, every simracer knows these games
Actually AMS has great accurate sound, compare to real life record vs ingame audio, check reiza studios channel.
BattleOvce it's very good, yes. I was too harsh on it. I was comparing to RaceRoom, and it does fall short of that mark. Still very good sound though, you're right. Thank you for watching.
We should buy BOTH! (at least that's what I did! ;)
Wich hud is used?
Automobilista feels great with G27, rf2 feels weird with the same wheel.
I got both
Thought the title said rFactor and Automobilista...
Neil Peart,a simracer?
IMHO, rF2 is geared towards single seaters and GT3s which is why I don't find motivating to play plus I'm way below competency with F1 cars without driver's assistance which I refuse to use, also my interest in F1 died with Senna; AMS has a huge variety, most of which is from rF1 but is crash prone when stuffed with so many mods.
I brought AMS without the intention of rF2 but since I bought the latter via Steam sale, I've not touched AC since but haven't done rF2 much because of lack of suitable mods and personally wished the DRM Revival team chose rF2, not AC.
Simple: Buy both.
Not played rfactor2 just looked on steam and it's half price, would be rude not to really
Great stuff man, just bought it. Was going to buy it anyways, but just right now, I couldn´t say no xD
i have both already
Well iracing is the king of all sims. Automobilista is 100 tomes better than rf2. The driving. F1 cars. Everyhing is better. Rf2 is horse shit
you can drive the fxx k on nordshleife in ams tho ;)
CaptainSloth haha, fair point. In fact, I have both mods. That was a bad example. Good catch.
rF2 is horrible with G27, AMS feels way better with this wheel.
i have rf2 and ams for me rf2 is the better but not by much .the reason i like rf2 they have VR
Automobilista for low end PCs (like mine).
Automobilista is over, no longer updates for that game. For sure you should buy rfactor 2.
