I think it’s sad that I spent $800 on a laser treatment that didn’t really do much and how Dr. Lim is very detailed on his treatments and really aims for the best treatment for the patient per session. My doctor didn’t even give me instructions on how to take care of my skin after my treatment.
By the way, I'm not sure what your patients are telling you, but numbing gel does NOT make that painless. I've had it done a few times and always end up with tears streaming down my face.

On the beach scene I think he was heading for L.A. and then Utah, well could be haha. oh and incidentally it never occurred to me that a "Jack Russell " could get std. haha on a cleaner note, I might try laser treatment on darker area from sun damage myself, scandinavian skin tan well but we do get the darker areas in the face. Hi Doc, you mentioned this pico laser is suitable for asian skin, but i’m interpreting “asian” as chinese/japanese skin types. Is it also suitable for more melanated skin types as well? I’m much browner than a chinese person (ethnically Malay+Indian) and i would like to get my pores treated as well. How I wish you were practising in Singapore, i’d definitely seek your consults and treatments. Your videos are informative and very clear and i’m very reassured hearing your detailed explanation and feel safe in your experienced hands. Unfortunately, there are just way too many aesthetics clinics/doctors in Singapore that are just more concerned in selling their packages than actually care and do what’s best for the patients :/

Hi Dr. I'm from malaysia and the usage of fractional co2 lasers are very popular. This contradicts with your advice on using a picosure laser for asian skin. Honestly I haven't heard of it till now. Is there any adverse effects on using fractional laser on asian skin?

Btw, we are looking into adding this machine to our clinic (Aesthetic Nurse here) in the near future, has this changed the way you treat melasma, tattoo, scars and other textural issues in comparison to other lasers you currently have? You mentioned this being great for Asian skin/darker skin (we have a lot here in Hawaii), have you had issues with hyperpigmentation post-treatment?
My nurses treat tattoos with this, I do all the rest. Its not an easy laser, and most dermatologist find it hard to use... need lots of hands on to get the best out of it. It's the best for ethic no downtime rejuvenation but always skating on thin ice to get the best out of it.. as you could see from the video. DL

Dr. Davin, there is a common idea that using toners help reduce pore size. That's how toners are marketed. Does that have any scientific truth?

Yes, I do use C+B in Asian or ethnic skin type as well.... you are indeed correct, case by case. DL

Hi Dr. I'm from malaysia and the usage of fractional co2 lasers are very popular. This contradicts with your advice on using a picosure laser for asian skin. Honestly I haven't heard of it till now. Is there any adverse effects on using fractional laser on asian skin?

I use Kojic Acid soap and sunscreen daily. This way you dont have to use much procedures on pores. What do you think?

Btw, we are looking into adding this machine to our clinic (Aesthetic Nurse here) in the near future, has this changed the way you treat melasma, tattoo, scars and other textural issues in comparison to other lasers you currently have? You mentioned this being great for Asian skin/darker skin (we have a lot here in Hawaii), have you had issues with hyperpigmentation post-treatment?
My nurses treat tattoos with this, I do all the rest. Its not an easy laser, and most dermatologist find it hard to use... need lots of hands on to get the best out of it. It's the best for ethic no downtime rejuvenation but always skating on thin ice to get the best out of it.. as you could see from the video. DL

Can microdermabrasion temporarily reduce pore size? the laser clinic that I work in has acupulse laser and since it has the 1 week down time, some working patients don't want to undergo it. I will be waiting for your video on chemical peels to reduce pore size. thank you
