I turned my very small dining room into my craft room. Using alot of repurposed furniture to make it work for me. It's always evolving with my new interests and needs. Of course, all of my yarn is there as well.
I found an old partial board cabinet on the side of the road, brought it home, painted it with leftover chalk paint, spray painted the hardware gold now it sits in my dining room and holds all my crochet supplies. Can’t beat free! Love this video! My crafting space is in my dining room because it’s the best hiding spot from my two young kiddos. 🤣

Hugs from across the Pond to you lovely lady 💖 Love craft rooms, they’re just full of loveliness. I adore my craft room, even though it’s the smallest room in the house, there’s not enough room to swing a cat in there as they say and you’d be hard pressed to decide if it was any bigger than Harry Potter’s abode in the cupboard under the stairs, but it’s mine all mine and my heavenly sanctuary. Thanks for another delightful episode, take care and keep sharing your joy 🌻🧶🍁🧵🍂
The wooden desk you showed in the beginning with the sewing machine actually folds up into the cabinet. I really love that one and want it for when I have the space for a craft room.
Oh my gosh, thank you! I just had an epiphany about a space that is seldom used now and could become my new craft room! With kids leaving home there are new possibilities for storage and use of rooms. I am so excited about the prospect of making that room my own personal crafting haven.
I have one wall in an extra bedroom with storage cubes from floor to ceiling with yarn and supplies. By my chair in our family room I have a crafting cart and folding table where I do my craft.

I have a mega huge craft studio. We live in an old hall and the hall auditorium is divided in half..one is my gallery and the other is my huge craft space..it has looms and spinning wheels...a 14ft table..paints..easel etc. But as this video was posted I was on week 2 of a huge studio declutter. Too much stuff was crippling my creativity..I listened to a great audiobook called Decluttering at the Speed of life..and it clicked. I have paired down to a reasonable amount of supplies and the rest is trashed or the extras will go to my favorite animal charity. Its starting to look much much better..Size does not matter..before this we were on a farm and my craft room was tiny..but I still loved it.
We've moved quite often and I've had small and spacious crafting spaces in the different houses. It seems I fill up whatever amt. of space I have, so I think the smaller areas force us to be neater and more efficient in our use of space. I'm ready to pare down and reorganize so maybe I'll check my library for this audio book! Thx for the tip.
