Google has fired over 50 employees for protesting against its contract with the Israeli government. No Tech for Apartheid, the group behind the protests, claimed 30 workers were fired initially, with over 20 more terminated later. The protests, sparked by Google and Amazon's $1.2 billion contract with Israel for cloud computing and AI, led to sit-ins at Google offices in New York and California, resulting in arrests. Google cited disruptive behaviour and masked identities as reasons for firing while disputing the group's allegations.

Some of these young liberal kids really need to think things through. If you want real political change then you must start at the local level. Instead, they turn up on every protest but when it comes to voting for council members or mayors, they are nowhere to be found. Now these employees have lost a great job and are going to have a hard time being hired with the type of reference they will get. After all that, Google will continue working with Israel, so what has been accomplished?
