It's amazing how professional golfers professionals go ahead and give away things out of their own pocket community and other people absolutely love that.
I carry that very same Ping Craz-E-Lite bag and it's awesome! Two things... 1. I attach my glove(s) to the top plastic handle. Better that velcro IMO. 2. The rain cover is located in the back cushion of the golf bag.
I ended up with the Ping bag. Btw, the rain hood is hidden under the padding for your hip. I like the Mizuno too but the way Ping integrates the mechanism to expand the feet is the best. Many other companies sticks out and can sometimes scrape the bag of your calf if you are not careful. Only Ping, Titliest, and Taylormade bags has this.
There is an additional design feature that folks should consider, and that is whether the base of the bag is fixed (Callaway, Mizuno and Sun Mountain) or moving (Titleist and Ping). Each of the fixed base bags have an external pedal (for lack of a better term) that activates the legs when you put the bag down. Both the Ping and the Titleist have the mechanism inside the bag such that the base actually moves every time you put the bag down, jostling the clubs and causing them to move. Up to each of you whether this annoys you or not, but it did annoy me when I was carrying my previous Ping Hoofer 14 (I stopped carrying now that I am over 60). That said, I do prefer the pedal-free movable base type because I now use a 3 wheel push cart, but desire a stand bag for trips to the range. The absence of the pedal makes it easier to mount on my cart. I am currently using a pedal-free Titleist stand bag with a 14 way top and a BagBoy Nitron push cart. My Titleist bag does not have the Velcro for your glove, which I do appreciate, but I created one with by attaching a velcro cable tie (you may already own some!) to one of the many available loops on any bag. Also a comment on the rain hoods, which Matt said the Ping did not have, but someone already pointed out where it was (there is even an arrow next to the leg pointing to the rain hood pocket!). This gives the Ping the advantage of not cluttering up one of the otherwise usable pockets with the rain hood. So...given the choices here, any player who wants a stand bag but uses a cart (there must be others), I would probably give the nod to Ping since it is pedal-free, and uses the pockets more efficiently.
I have used a Callaway bag for the past 3 years and it has been the most comfortable bag I have ever used. With that said the Mizuno and Ping are both clean!
everyone knew you'd pick the Mizuno bag as soon as you said "i liked it" at 6:47. Everything else about that bag was cherry and nuts to make it better. The biggest feature you will like is the huge top opening and the horizontal club alignment. If you walk a lot, you'll notice the difference (irons aligned and not too much of pulling out of bag). GL and enjoy!
Just purchased the Mizuno BR D2 bag. Love it. It isn’t for everyone with its short legs. Extremely lightweight and can hold everything I need. Back in November it was on AMZN for $90
Like the Mizuno carry bag as have used a previous model during UK winters when courses don't allow buggies or trolleys. My preference of the choice available would be the Ping bag, like the colours.
I love my Sun Mountain 2.5. I had the 3.5, too and they're great, light bags. I actually sewed a velcro patch right on top of the bottom pouch on both of them - so it's right where my left hand is. And I only put the needle into my finger like, four times!
I just recently bought a Mizuno bag, the BR-D4, 6-way...most features of any bag I've ever had, the straps even clip on/off, that way they don't get in your way if you are using it on a cart.
I thought you were all about that Callaway bag! My bag is a Callaway. Getting a bit old, but if I got one of these a new golfer would get to adopt mine.
Carrying my bag and walking has completely changed my health and lifestyle. Walking allows you focus and enjoy the day. There are definitely challenges when it comes to find one that doesn’t get all of the clubs tangled. I used to think I had to carry everything but a lightweight bag can be a game changer. Following on instagram but name wont be pops man cave.
I would definitely say Callaway I've been a Callaway fan ever since since 2011 when I found a Callaway golf ball on the golf course and changed from Bridgestone 2 Callaway golf balls not only did my swing increase shorted the ability to hit further to become and get all of my gear to be Callaway I'm a Special Olympics player and I'm also the team captain of Washington State Port Angeles Sequim is David Carver it's been a great honor to watch all of these amazing videos that you guys put out they have helped me exponentially to the point where I was ask to talk about my accomplishments at Peninsula College while I was attending and right now my back is getting very close to needing to be replaced that right now being out of a job because of the pain dynamic I don't have the money for the very expensive Callaway bags from DC new coach
Great video. But I did notice that when you weren't focused on whether the leg hits your leg, you grab the bags to pick them up differently. Specifically when you were down to the final two bags.
Great review congrats they only thing with ping ok no rain cover but is only one who has sistem that when you lift it up the legs always are stick into the bag quickly. Nice video
Can you review how you work with the shoulder straps. How they attach to the bags. I wore my Athalonz shoes today at the range for the first time. Though they are a little tighter than my Footjoys they were comfortable. Even though my big toes point a little towards the pinky toe exposing the knuckle of the big toes the soft leather of the Athalonz shoes didn’t create pressure upon the slightly exposed knuckles. But as with my FootJoys the top of my left big toe became red due to friction with the top of the toe box when I swing the clubs. Maybe I need to learn to not pull my left big toe back as I hit into the ball. One bandaid and some white tape also solves this problem. I learned today to keep my left wrist quiet during the backswing , and during the waggle before the backswing. Creating absolute stability in my left wrist prevented any premature cocking of the wrists during the takeaway of the backswing. It led to a very comfortable downswing with my right hand exerting control throughout the swing.
My Ping bag has a cover on the side that comes into contact with your back. Check for a zipped pocket. Maybe the decided against the cover for weight. Ping is the bag they’re trying to be. The hidden kick stand, access to the bottom of the bag, plus others features. That said, the one you selected would not have been in my top 3. I enjoyed the video.
Would love to you do a review of best golf bags for push carts. I have stand bag I’ll use for shorter courses, but on longer courses or hotter days in Texas I’ll use my push cart. But stand bags don’t work very well in push carts because they tend to bounce around too much.
Have only had hand-me-downs, both have been stand bags, which i carry around the courses in Washington. It definitely wears out the shoulder its hanging off.
Definitely good choice with the very sharp Mizuno bag. My favorite for simplicity and no frills ease of use is the Ping. Classic, light, easy on and off, great bag. Nice work. Always great entertaining reviews!
All the bags are nice, but I’m a type of person who prefer to use the same brand for bag and clubs…. I use Titliest clubs & bag for serious golfing, and Inesis clubs & bag for weekend range session or having 9 hole on sometime weekday morning by myself…both are excellent…
All super nice carry bags. One of the things I look for is a lot of pockets for other stuff and also are there dividers between each club pocket. Plus lightweight. I currently own a Callaway bag. looked at a lot of them online before deciding.
Greetings Matt! The only time I walk is when the course is drenched and no carts allowed... I normally ride and seldom walk as I need an area for beers and my cigars. I get plenty of exercise playing squash and gym. BTW...Great video's which I share with all my golf buddies. Have a great week! Dave from Toronto, Canada.
Hi Matt, all the carry bags were very functionable and good looking. I have not carried a bag in over 30 years so good luck to all those that Subscribe to Instagram.
Yep. Been trying to get a lightweight bag recently. I saw some online but some places don’t even tell you the weight of the bag. What is that about? I guess I’ll have to wait until I go to a big golf store with a bit of selection rather than just my golf club.
Great video. I haven't carried a bag in 20 years and I'm not on Instagram. I picked the Mizuno bag at the beginning. Perhaps the reason Callaway uses a simple design is so no one is tempted to steal them.
recently found this channel, recently took up golf too, and that looks like my home pga tour superstore(in the "north" metro Atlanta area too) I'm glad to stubbled onto all your knowledge! thank you, keep it up!
I just bought a Titleist Hybrid 14 bag, mostly because I use a push cart at my home course and the straps on that bag are detachable. But I'd love the Ping Hoofer for when I travel and carry the sticks 🛩 🏌️♂️
I’m still rockin the Nike Sasquatch carry bag I’ve had for 10 years. Hard to beat. Maybe a little heavy. Haven’t compared it to a 2021 bag. But the quality of the Nike is excellent. Built to last.
Hoofer wins every time. Only brand bag that feels like you are paying for cool features on a quality bag, and not just paying for the name. Access zipper, rain hood in the hip pad is GENIUS and way more pockets than standard brand name bags with a clean look
The Ping bag would look good down here in Texas!! Going to be walking a round or two a month as I start a journey to a better lifestyle and healthier life
Yo just got a Taylormade Quiver Lite its something between a sunday bag and carry bag and its perfect if your looking for a light bag! Highly recommend
Love this review, but you did miss a lot on the callaway. They have insulated cooling for water bottles in the side pocket, fishing hole at the bottom just like ping
Have to say there's a lot missed in this video, I feel there are many things that are more important than whether the stands are carbon fiber. Like how the water bottle pocket is, is it insulated or just a pocket? Also how's the build quality, while I'm sure they are all nice, im sure some are built with better quality than others

Honestly I've watched a couple videos and this gentleman is funny, creative, smart. Really like how he's honest. Not brand pushy and just a cool dude.
The rain cover for the ping bag is in the padded area. There is a symbol on the bag saying rain cover.
4:40 the ping bag does have a rain cover. It’s actually attached to the bag in a secret pocket behind the cushion for your back
It's all about that Ping Hoofer. Bought that bag about 6 months ago and haven't had any regrets.
The Hood for the ping should be inside the padded hip thing :D
Ping did a great job finding a place for the rain hoods within the back pad. Saves space, and adds comfort.
Just entirely destroyed his rep at knowing anything at all! 😂
@@ducatidad8231 This guy made so many mistakes. Why even watch this video, he didn't even learn or test the bags.
It’s an honest review, and he didn’t just regurgitate specs.
It's amazing how professional golfers professionals go ahead and give away things out of their own pocket community and other people absolutely love that.
Well, they get followers, they earn money from us. When we watch ads.
He’s not a pro
I carry that very same Ping Craz-E-Lite bag and it's awesome! Two things...
1. I attach my glove(s) to the top plastic handle. Better that velcro IMO.
2. The rain cover is located in the back cushion of the golf bag.
Bag still going strong?
@monaownza yes. Only issue is there is some club pull. More so if you have larger grips. Not a deal breaker. Bag is sooooooo light!
Thats what makes the Ping bag even cooler. Its so hidden and it's behind the padding so it provides comfort for your back while its hidden away.
@@ILik3PH0T0hows the ping bag holding up 1 year later?

My rain hood is in a little pocket just to the right of the puffy part of the hoofer near the top. Its easy to miss if you're not looking for it.
That back cushion is where Ping hides rain cover
Good to know I’ll look there
Was it in there?
@@MrShortGame That's where it is. It is attached too, so you can't lose it.
Also, to be pedantic, isn't that actually a Hoofer Lite :)
Great idea for a video.
Thats where It is. When I bought mine, I couldn't find it at first either.
I agree with your to pick. Love the Mizuno bag. But for sleek and understated, I gotta say.... Titleist
Really like the simplicity of the Ping bag, everything you need and nothing you don't
Like the Mizuno carry bag as have used a previous model during UK winters when courses don't allow buggies or trolleys. My preference of the choice available would be the Ping bag, like the colours.

I literally needed this video. I have an old Ogio bag I bought years ago at play it again sports. Can't find replacement stands for it either.
Great video. But I did notice that when you weren't focused on whether the leg hits your leg, you grab the bags to pick them up differently. Specifically when you were down to the final two bags.

Definitely Mizuno # 1, Sun Mountain # 2, Titleist # 3. Love your videos.👍 Really helped my short game.

I have an older Callaway with tons of pockets. Png makes great bags. Stand/legs pop open very easily.
This video has perfect timing. Got a trip to Bandon dunes next month and need a new light bag since my old titleist bag is falling apart
All look great... I'm actually in the market for a new bag... So this vid was helpful. I'm thinking the Titleist Bag!
i just got the ping hoofer craz e lite bag, overall its really nice but getting your clubs in and out of the bag can be a pain sometimes!

Does the hoofer have a hood on the ‘bottom patch’ which rests against your bottom. An old model of mine does
Love the look and feel of the Ping bag.
I just found this guy. Love ‘em! Hysterical! I love his mannerisms and overall conversational style. I’m bummed cause I need a new golf bag. 🤪🤣
Love the look and how simple the ping bag is
FYI, the rain hood is behind the padding of the back support on the Ping bag.
Have a Mizuno and Titleist. Both very good. I tried the leg kick thing...not working for me. Titleist bag all the way...
My favorite was the Mizuno, red, white and blue! Second place for me was the Titleist.
The Mizuno bag is definitely the coolest of all those bags. Hard to beat a Ping Hoofee bag.
What is the flex and flex patterns of the stand bag legs? Not sure I can consider any of those bags without that info.
Done that Ping bag looks incredible
I really like the Callaway and Titleist bags. Classic look with minimal frills.
Love the Callaway bag. Very simple and plain.
Love them all! Mine is 10 years old....Titleist.
Can you do something on the 80-120 yd knock down shot? Low and high.
A new stand bag would be nice. Recently started walking the course to get some exercise and its actually helping my game. WIN WIN
Love the look of the Titleist bag!
Do u know what model bag it is?
I could definitely go for a new carry bag. 😁🏌♂️Sun Mountain...I like the colors.
I’m still rockin the Nike Sasquatch carry bag I’ve had for 10 years. Hard to beat. Maybe a little heavy. Haven’t compared it to a 2021 bag. But the quality of the Nike is excellent. Built to last.
Already following on instagram. I love the black look of the callaway. The colour would go good with any colour clubs or headcovers.
You should try the 14 way divider carry bags... to make some comparizon and which you prefer 14 divider and 6 divider???
Hoofer wins every time. Only brand bag that feels like you are paying for cool features on a quality bag, and not just paying for the name. Access zipper, rain hood in the hip pad is GENIUS and way more pockets than standard brand name bags with a clean look
I’ve been a Callaway guy for a while so that Callaway bag would look nice carrying my new Apex’s 😎 you’re the man!
The Ping bag would look good down here in Texas!! Going to be walking a round or two a month as I start a journey to a better lifestyle and healthier life
Super cool man. Way to involve viewers in some golf shopping, love it!
Thanks so much for the insight. You helped me confirm I gotta do the ping over the sun mountain.
The mizuno is awesome! That vertical zipper is great.
It was a sign of relief when he said he was keeping the Mizuno, there’s is still a chance I can get the Ping bag 😤😮
instablaster
Definitely like the callaway and titelist bags plane black looks good 👌🏼👌🏼
Ping is my favorite by far love the zipper to reach into the bag if you drop stuff in there.
Appreciate the review been looking for a new carry bag
Thanks for the review just bought the mizuno myself desert camo. Love it!!!!
I’ll take any! Took 5 stokes off (so far) my game since watching your video starting last season. Keep them coming.
I knew you was gonna go with the Mizuno from the moment I saw the bag! Great choice Mr. Shortgame!
The mazuno bag seems to be the winner. That pocket access is very in tune with my needs.
Excellent analysis and demonstration.

Mizuno bag for sure!! But also love that Ping bag!
Mizuno bag with the straight zipper plus it looks awesome
The Mizuno bad rain cover should be in the back cushion pouch area I think. Love this bag.
Thanks for the review I'm looking for carry bag right now

Which bag has the least club tangle? It’s a problem with all light weight bags.
Very happy with my Izzo golf bag. Lightest stand bag I could find at a very reasonable price.
