STAR TREK Roller Coaster: Operation Enterprise Front Row POV - Movie Park

- Star Trek: Operation Enterprise is a roller coaster at Movie Park Germany. 4K POV On-Ride, Front Row. The ride is a triple-launch coaster with a backward twisting spiral and multiple inversions. It is created by MACK Rides and features a transfer track to allow multiple train operations on a swing-launch track. The attraction is the centerpiece at the entrance of the movie-based theme park and was added in 2017. The Immelman (first element of the roller coaster) perfectly encompasses the logo fountain as you enter, front and center. #StarTrek #RollerCoaster #POV #MovieParkGermany
This Star Trek-themed ride has a top speed of 56mph, it features a lot of hangtime-filled elements to give riders negative G's in a small space, such as a heartline roll and zero-g roll. The ride receives some criticism for being slow, however, I found the ride to still be fun and the elements are fine. No major complaints, it may not be the most intense, but it's incredible for its small footprint, layout, and location, and has elements that other similar attractions do not have.

Star Trek Operation Enterprise - Movie Park Germany On-Ride POV. 4K Ultra HD Video.
0:22 that’s a damn good question lol🤣
That dude has a funny accent!
They do have anti-gravity in space (fictitious). So it will fall on the ground. Real live for now. It will float in blobs of liquid bubbles.
That's a damn good
Apparently we haven’t watch old stock videos of the Apollo missions huh?
@@marty_nz it's called English
Star Trek is about space; this should have been an indoor coaster with effects and the theme song.
not every park has disney kind of money
Or at least some theming inside that short dark area mid-ride. Maybe have Quark in there trying to sell you something?
Yeah but the music from imascore is freaking awesome
The Mummy ride at Universal Studios is a good example.
Doesn't look like a bad coaster but I agree, it just doesn't seem like it fits.
I went onto the coaster completely blind. That back boost hit me HARD- Great ride!!!
80% of the commenters were only to Disney or Universal and seem not to know that not every park has tens of millions to spend on a ride. Making it completely indoors would have nuked the parks budget. It's a great ride for what it wants to be
I love how they kept the part about federation shuttle crafts and how they have to gain inertia to launch by shooting backwards through the ship.
This ride honestly is so much more fun than it looks in POVs.
When it first opened, based on POVs I wasn't expecting much more than a "solid" ride, but when I got to ride it, I was blown away, by how good this ride actually is.
Especially in the front row, where the inversions really give you some serious hangtime.
Many people here forget that this park operates on a far smaller budget than Disney or Universal. They really try their best all the time, maybe appreciate that a bit?
Was a Nice ride, almost shit myself😂
I mean, then why do a themed ride at all?
money @@thefalsekingslayer3717
@@thefalsekingslayer3717 because even if it can't match up to Disney, it's unique in the area. We have no other parks with licensed franchises here in Germany. The park this ride is in is a great experience if you can't afford hundreds to go to Disneyland in France, let alone thousands to go to the US.
Pretty cool launch coaster, the experience is better then watching it.
The part where you first come in and then walk around the bridge reminds me of the attraction they used to have at the Vegas Hilton. It wasn't a rollercoaster but one of those immersive simulations where it felt like you were flying around. It was cool. They also had people dressed as Klingons, and other ST characters. It also involved a staged play scenario where it starts off like you're taking a walking tour and then all of a sudden they call a condition red and all hell breaks loose and they take you into what seems like a turbo lift but all of a sudden it goes dark for a few seconds and then you're on a platform being told to get on a shuttle. It was impressive how they did that.
I visited Vegas when that was still on, always regretted not checking it out
Looks so fun, would ride and enjoy 100%. But where is - space, phasers, enemies, shields down, damage, drama, thrilling escape, epic win?
...the parc doenst spend that much on quality.
@@realityisnotlogical the que themeing seems pretty awesome at least
@@drewsapp4384 a good point. It seems that queue is the closest thing anybody will be able to walk throught the Enterprise D bridge now that the Vegas experience is long gone.
Where’s it at? Star Wars
Where's the diplomacy???
Star Trek? What part of the on-ride experience is that? Looks like a regular coaster with a themed queue.
Exactly.
thats all the parc is able to do xD
At least it has theming, you don't get such a good que line very often
Ah yes sure, a better experience would have been if the riders get teleported into the movies and ride a coaster there.
@@dx06 The old Star Trek Experience in Vegas teleported you onto the Enterprise where there was a crew doing their jobs making the ship work.
My 12 year old granddaughter and her friend, Flo went on this ride. When it finished, Flo looked at the operator and just said, "well, that was rubbish." I think she had a valid point.
Or perhaps she was just a little snot with overly high standards?
@@troyjollimore4100 At least she does have standards.
@@steveschindlerphotography766 Watching the video, it didn't seem like a bad little coaster. Granted, I live in an area where the nearest rollercoaster worthy of being called one is over 600 miles away... Kind of silly of them to put the 'Star Trek' name on it, though.
Laughable, the ride is fun and launch has some force, I enjoyed it. Some people are just never satisfied 😅
"Live long and prosper", said nobody about this coaster. however, indoor theming is cool and it had such a great build up.
I don't get what all the people in this comment section have about this coaster. Yes, it's not disney-level theming but it's really a great step forward from everything else at this Park and it's a ton of fun.
Wish this was an indoor coaster with sound and photon and phaser effects. Priceless.
Agreed with all. It has a great possibility. Could have been indoor with you being a photon torpedo that launches out of the Enterprise and chases an enemy ship, shown in video in front of the coaster, until you finally catch up to it and “explode”. Have a sudden stop at the end and use a bunch of bright light and smoke in the explosion so when it ends, and the smoke clears, you’re at the unloading area.
The line is the best part.
That was a let down. SHOULD have been an indoor coaster.
well go to disney then most parks dont have that kind of money
It was a retheme
@@deansproductions It literally was not a retheme. The whole coaster opened in 2017
@@NickyD I rather spend my money on a more quality park like Disney or universal anyways
I agree I was expecting something more like Space Mountain. The coaster was cool don't get me wrong but that had nothing to do with Star Trek
Amazing. It’s so good up until the launch and then it becomes just a regular roller coaster. The ride is so empty and dull after
Too bad it's not a universal property. They make the best rides.
That’s the best part lol everything else looks lame
Y’all are kidding right???
I like the coaster, looks like a smooth enjoyable experience with a twist unlike some rides that feel the need to be over the top. Maybe a prime example of early 2000s coasters where they liked to go upside down as the new thing.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
1:31 wait... Did I hear that right?? 😅
This ride is really fun, it has really smooth flying-like feeling. And the theming is lovely - the waiting area, the bridge and the hallways are very Star Trek-y. The ride itself is more fun and more impressive than it looks in the video.
On rollercoasters a block zone is a section of ride that only one train may occupy at a time. At the end of a block zone there is a method to stop the train, in case the block zone ahead is still occupied. This is the safety system that prevents rollercoaster trains from colliding with one another.
Thanks El toro ryan
Went on this 3 weeks ago
This rollercoaster is most enjoyed in the back seat. That first run forward, then rushing backwards you are pretty high up and the drop really hits when you raise your hands in the air.
Great ride.
Imagine this same track but completely indoors like space mountain with visuals and an audio track in each cart
@@zancraft1562it’s not small tbh it was owned by Warner brothers
Wow. This is great. Wish we had one here in the States.
Incredible I really thought I was on the starship enterprise!
I agree, it looks like a fun short experience but it's themed for Star Trek. Where are the Klingon's and the Romulan's. No phasers or torpedoes, or even a chase through an asteroid field.
They should have made it like Disneyland's Space Mountain. Indoors and phaser fire and decloaking ship projections. Im a little underwhelmed here.
I agree. cool concept, I also love how the coaster starts, but theming is pretty weak.
Or q
@@SWIFTO_SCYTHE I was thinking the same thing. Stars, planets, other ships. Indoors was the way to go with this one.
@@mayganphynix8267 especially when you compare it with the likes of Phantasiakand.
But ey Movie park Germany has other rides that are way better themed.
Cool Thanks
COOL STAR TREK RIDE!
Just a normal coaster, but I love that it's of the Enterprise-D (my most favorite starship) instead of the original. Like the other commenters said, I also wish it had more to do with the ship/show instead of what we saw on the outside. Granted, there are a lot of rides based on movies/characters that have just a plain coaster with nothing else, but verity would be nice. I like the coaster part as in saying I wouldn't want it as a seat that just tilts as you watch a screen.
I would still go on it because that's my most favorite Star Trek series.
Being in the queue looked way more fun than being on the actual ride lol
The ride is a ton of fun!
Very creative design. Decent throughput as well.
Superb 💖💖💖💖💖💖🥳🥳🥳👍👍🥳👊👊👊😀😀😀😀😀
I've never known the shuttle to need a running start!
I would have designed the rollercoaster ride of Star Trek with you going through a battle scene in space and seeing the ship's getting destroyed
Pretty cool
Nice themeing!
Very cool.
Got all excited when the track moved sideways only for it to open up to a bright daylight shot of NOT SPACE. Even if you just made a Space Mountain clone and stuck the thing inside a building or a tent, it would be better than that.
Short but fun
quite good as it was a surprisedue to track sifting!
Cool video
I recomend backrow its so nice
Pretty cool coaster. Not the fastest, not the tallest, not the longest, but still...pretty cool!!!
The que and bridge is pretty dope.
its actually total shit
Honestly the bridge looks like one of those knock-off products of something where things are not quite right.
I don't remember approving this installation. But I'll allow it
Well im glad I saw this, I'd hate to wait four hours in line for a mediocre ride. Thanks for sharing.
Impromise its more fun than it looks and was my fav coaster at the park
Well you'd miss out on something there. The ride itself is a ton of fun!
The line isn’t 4 hours long it’s about 5-15 minutes
If I had designed this ride, I would have the coaster go onto the bridge of the enterprise and directly towards the viewer screen, which would be a dark star field and the coaster would go right into the screen (which is really a hole) and fly out into “space”
And Picard saying “Engage!” or something
@@steveschritz1823 yeah, wouldn’t that be cool?
looks like a funeral on Star trek. then the door opens, and you are sent back to a cheap 1986 roller coaster ride in Coney Island
Classic Movie Park Germany. Getting a good IP and fumbling the ball in the execution.
Cool looking coaster, now an additional reason to go to Germany. I didn't get to go to ST: The experience in Las Vegas. The red alert lights on the bridge were not blinking like I would expect them to...but that's my only thing I noticed.
Such cool theming at the beginning only to be an outdoor coaster. I guess I expected too much…
That sure looks like fun!!!
ThevQueue is the best thing about this ride!
Looks great!
Ah yes, drawing from the classic episode where they...rode a roller coaster?
should they build a real flying spaceship and send the guests into orbit?
Knotts berry farm needs something like this!!
There's a lot of people saying it should be an indoor coaster and I agree. But it's not and it's unlikely the park has the funds to change much. One easy change they could make would be VR like Galactica ride in Alton Towers. It would still be expensive but not as much as building it indoor
Looked good up until the doors opened
While I agree with the comments about there needing to be MORE 'TREK' content, it still looks like damned FUN ride...!!!
Maybe they should call it Star Trek - The Butthole Buster because that was what that one girl yells at 1:30 - Ow my butthole! LOL!
Initially I was wondering what company manufactured this one, but the second I saw that the launch had crippling depression I just knew it was Mack lol.
The Joker ride at Six Flags San Antonio used to pull that same trick at the beginning.
No wonder it takes so long for characters to get to Shuttle Bay 2. 😂
The Star Trek Coaster is really unique. Also its one of a KInd thanks to its Star Trek Theme. World Wide the only holding Star Trek themed attraction. Sad thing: There is a Pre Show actually, but thanks to COVID there are no Pre Shows...
Was designed under theam of earth based transports due to space at the park. Did hear was one designed to be inside but they not disclosed what park it going to in 2028. Based on info will be twice as big as space mountain and is to have double corkscrew, 4 Invert loops and 4 helix with triple leaner launch.
That was an awesome rollercoaster!!
no, no it wasn't.
At 0:27, the LCARS screen shows an Excelsior class ship, not Galaxy class
So it is basically just a Rollercoaster with a bit of a Star Trek theme...but only a very little.
I guess they forgot exterior theming. 🥱
Hope they add some spaceships model beside the track, will add more theming
The recreated enterprise-d bridge waiting line is worth it alone
The forward, back, forward part was a surprise.
I want to know what happens if someone spills something on the carpet in space now...
This would be good if they had the actors Star Treck charaters.
Even just making it indoor with stars and nothing else would have at least kept this from seeming like an absolute disappointment when those doors opened up.
It should be like space mountain where the coaster is inside with a space effect since star trek is in space
STE's bridge ambient revisits STV's bridge from RPG-X F ship edition
Intamin AG, LI Impulse coaster? Kinda cool. Great theming, just seemed a little short on track.
no its an Mack
Ok so it's not indoors it still is pretty bad ass!
What's behind the first door?
It would be cool if the cars were enclosed and looked more like escape pods with video screens inside that would make it seem like you were in space so you couldn't see outside. I'm sure that would give you a very different sensation since you wouldn't be able to see the oncoming track route.
that's a really bad idea
we need this in the USA
I prefer the back row on this one! I thought I lost my glasses
Where's the Jerry Goldsmith TNG theme blasting on the speakers? Take a page out of the Disney notebook and make it an indoor coaster with visuals being projected onto the indoor ride building!
My other question is why it change tracks . I guess it has two kinds of launches
Amazing attraction wow
no... its not amazing. its absolute garbage.
@@fingfangfoom2399 have you even ridden it?
If every carriage on the track was enclosed, instead of windows, there were panels showing the entry and warp travel combined with the congestion from the track, it could be a amazing experience. But the reality was sad.
Boldly going where pretty much every other outdoor roller-coaster has gone before.
Amazing!
At first I was like that’s a weak launch lol
They need to replace the MIB ride at Universal Studios with this. This would attract alot of people. It would be epic!!
Universal would have to buy the rights from Viacom and considering the history between Viacom and Comcast.... highly uinlikely
Это круто, наверно)
My home. Park so sad, that you wasn’t able to experience the pre-show

mack rides dont normally do speed. they do hangtime. cant have hangtime if youre steam rolling through the couse at 70+ mph lol
What a let down and it started off so cool and should have been a dark, indoor coaster with effects, screens, theme songs and dialogue from the show.
Well not every land starts with Disney in it
@@HidekiRyuga250 That is irrelevant. This is NOT a Star Trek roller coaster. Hell, Six Flags has better theming.
@@protoborgmy man the park is a small little park in Germany it doesn’t have the budget of six flags Disney or others
They managed to make a ride more lackluster than the actual show
Nice theming at the start , then it shoots you out into basically a parking lot . At least you tried 🤷🏻♂️😂
