I actually started at 2 and im 13 I can di backflips right now
But using a backpack for a 1 y o isnt a good idea he probably falls because of that I can see that his helmet weights too much they should have used a quality helmet and filming a 1 y o make him nerveous

I used this video in an EMT class to demonstrate how a child's head is proportionally much larger than an adult, and once bent over like this adorable child it is difficult for them to lift their heads back up again.

I was 3 when i started and i thought that was young. Imma put my baby on skis while he’s still in his momma

Thats normal, he has a help in the front of his skies! I also think, the baby is close to two years. Wait better till the baby has made 3 years, except the child WANTS hisself to start earlier! With 4 or 5 years you won‘t see any diffrence if they begun earlier. My two kids went to many races later, when my daughter was 6 or 7 we needed 20 min. from Weissfluhgipfel all the way down to Gotschna Klosters of Parsenn, Davos - many people looked after us with wide open eyes! They loved to be that fast. One winter we were 60 times on the skies. I hope the time will come again to ski without masks, social distancing and open Restaurants to get warm and having a nice conversation. Right now you can‘t go with children during the coldest days - they need to go inside to get a hot soup or wathever! Let‘s hope and fight for the freedom!!😉
By the time he is four, he'll be skiing black diamond. LOL
I know someone who lives in a ski town and he told me that his 4 year old daughter skis double blacks! (And it’s a harder ski town then most places where the runs are very very hard)

We are still having a blast at Solitude, but desperately need more snow. The kids seem to find more and more rocks every time we ski 🤦🏻♀️

The litt'l guy has his brain bucket hat firmly attached, I think the weight was causing the toddler to list on the port side; perhaps readjust the stays for center keel tracking. Jus sayin.....

Yeah they just adjust the bindings accordingly.
Amazing! I would love to put my 1,5 year old on skis, but I'm pretty sure he would not be happy having ski boots and skis strapped to his feet, so we'll wait for a little while before teaching him how to ski. Thanks for sharing your experience!
My 2yo loves using her ski equipment at home. But if we go to the mountain with other skiers, she refuses and only wants to play. Def a personality plays into getting them to capitulate.

Where did they find the goggles for such a small kid? I tried several pairs on my 5-year-old but all of them left a big gap over her nose.
