As a Shop teacher I had to demonstrate how to do things many times. Your exact description of how to do it just put a smile on my face. Work a tad bit more on your animation but I give you an A-Plus in every other way. Great video. And I will be doing business with you.
This was SO helpful; thank you!!! I especially appreciate that you went slowly, showing each detail of every step as you explained what was being done. I'm going to give it a try.
On My Blinds the rectangular plastic end caps seem to be non-removable. I actually broke one, trying to remove it! Thanks in advance for any help. Terry
First time it's a lot but, do it once and your now a professional. Great video. Had to drill out handle knob between night and day shade as to slide out day shade to crisscross strings on 4 string install.
Nice explanation in the video and the sketch. I have a large day/night blind in my motorhome with 4 springs and 6 strings. The springs are located two in each end of the upper rail and two in the middle. I would like to know how is the diagram for restring this blind. Any body knows? Thanks
Thanks for the great video. I have a wide, 61" day/night RV shade that I will be trying to re-string. I had the new string but no re-stringing tool, so I called them and they said the re-stringing tool is 24 gauge wire and 18 inches long before folding it. Thanks.
Thomas - It was nice to speak to you on the phone. I think that your restringing project will go just fine! Let us know if you have any other questions.
I did try Lowe's and Ace Hardware for the 24 gauge coated wire, but their sizes stopped at 18 gauge. Lowe's did have a packaged roll of 250 foot metal (not coated) 24 gauge, but I just needed 18 inches and I prefer coated wire. Do you have sources as to what stores have the 24 gauge wire? Thanks.
We have diagrams showing how to restring 3-string shades on this webpage: www.fixmyblinds.com/guides/how-to-restring-a-rv-day-night-shade/. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi There - You can use a double knot to tie the string to the spring. Here's a diagram in this link. www.netknots.com/rope_knots/double-overhand-stopper-knot
Hi there, the string just lays in the top rail of the shade. There aren't any other parts. If you need any assistance repairing your shade, feel free to send us some pictures. Our email address is service@fixmyblinds.com.

Do you know how to do a 3 string shade? I don't know what to do with the middle string. I brought it to one side but that didn't work
