Great Ornament and will have to try one for sure. I do like the idea of dying the work as well. Thanks Stephen. From Newfoundland Canada.

Beautiful! I like the Rit dye usage since it's easy to find for a small town guy like me. May have to make a few for the tree this year.

Pharmboy08 Thank you sir. Yes, the RIT dyes are readily available and you still have plenty of time for Christmas ornaments. Thank you for commenting and for supporting my channel.

Stephen, beautiful ornament. I am going to mix a batch of the friction polish and check it out. I have been using Cap'n Eddies OB shine juice which also uses shellac. Merry Christmas to you and your family

Hello, Merry Christmas... : ) Question: Did your cone center come with your lathe. Or did you buy it somewhere else?

    • @StephenOgle

Merry Christmas to you also. My cone center came from Penn State Industries. Thanks for sharing my videos Anthony. Her is a link to Penn State. www.pennstateind.com/

Hi Stephen, I'm watching you make your Christmas ornament, and i think you are doing a great job, and I think I can do this. But I wanted to let you know that I think the bearings on your lathe are getting dry. They are making too much noise. I hope you can lube them easily.
    Keep up the fun.

Thank you Jack for commenting. Glad you enjoyed this project. This lathe is a little noisy. I too though it was the bearings, but it turns out it is the variable speed pulleys holding the top of the belt and it squeaks. I used belt conditioner once and in ran almost silent. The bearings can not be lubricated, only replaced. I really appreciate your observations and your input. Thank you for commenting and supporting my channel.

That is one good job. I have one more thing to say and it is none of my business but your watch and ring scare me to death.
