Way cool video! Man.. i wish we had Jamba Juice here in San Juan La Union! I am a non rider.. but want to get a 155 CC i believe Yamaha! To learn on and get around here locally. Great review, exactly what I wanted to see. One question, I'm torn between getting the 390 or the 790. Have you tried the 390 and is there much difference between them in traffic? I know the 390 would probably be more practical but have a louder bike is still safer which is why I'm considering the 790.
890R Superscalpel is here. Took this 8 out of 10, and cranked it to 11.
Have you bought this, RR? Do you prefer it to the XSR900? I like the look of it and the performance, but I'd be worried about reliability.

See youre really having fun. So how you compare it with your xsr? Price justified?
I think it competes mostly on style. Sometimes you just want to be on a modern retro bike like the XSR900. For price the XSR900 is very competitive. But the Duke 790 takes it's sophistication to the next level. The agility and speed is what sells it to me the most. For long lived style I can imagine the XSR900 doing better over a prolonged period of time.
@@riderepublic7260 yep i agree with xsr900. True this competes with mt09 or mt10, but I doubt cost that high. Nonetheless im sure this is super hightech and worth the bke. Clutchless shifting up and down are levels of bmw RR. Great vid paps.

buddy....if I'll ask you between Kawasaki z900rs or Duke 790..just pick one which one and why ?because iam planing to buy one of those bikes. hope you can give me a idea. thanks bud.
khristofferson alcachupas Duke 790 all the way. Z900rs feels heavy and old. But if you like that kind of thing go for it. Duke is nice for splitting through traffic and has better features electronically like traction, wet mode etc.

Manila traffic in that? Half of my entire left leg's hairs already fallen off due to the heat blown to my leg by the auxiliary fan of my Duke 390 in Manila traffic... what more with a 790 engine! Good luck! Ha ha ha!

Yep! I normally go around in shorts. Every now and then in long pants but I could still feel the heat in heavy traffic. On the highway though, it's a different story and a ton of fun to drive. I drove it from from Manila to the Ilocos region and it went all smoothly and not a single snag. Darn I really love that bike! Now I really missed it and how I wish it was already vacation time again so that I can go on a road trip!
