    Those Ardun heads makes that flathead sound and look sweet, that’s a beautiful piece of art.

    "I thought about it when I was laying in bed this morning and I didn't write it down." Wow, I feel your pain. I think I have said that at least two or a thousand times in my life.

    Ole Duntov designed some great heads. I know a guy with a 40 Ford Coupe with V8, standard trans and glass packs that sounds like a love song.

    The process of doing that to a flathead is amazing.
    It sounds good.

    Super quality build guys . I agree though the yellow springs draw the eye to much.

    Well you kids are sure havin' fun. But with the ARDUN OHV conversion, it's time to stop calling it a flathead.

    Very classy build....one recommendation, drop the yellow paint on the springs. It's a bit of a distraction from your build.

    I remember seeing 1/4 speed double lobe camshafts in 50s @ 60 hot rod magazine. Including the larger cam sprocket / gear

    Love that car, my first time on the channel, looks like ya had a lot of help building such a beautiful prize. Now how about watching this yourself, 1st it fired right off so I expect you have an electric fuel pump 2nd you pumped it a ton, then it fired and run out of fuel. "did you shut it off?" No? Did you choke it? No! Why not? It still has carbs . "let me get my meter " for what? Will that meter calibrate fuel? Next you checked trans fluid, Engine supposed to be running to get the right reading. This may be your last Hurrah but not your first rodeo. Mr. Dontov would be very proud . I'm sure Zora is looking down on you wanting to shake your hand. That is one beautiful piece now try to get the lift set up a little closer to the front axle . Let me get a towel, that linkage is hot ! Now you know why they had vaper lock problems in the day.

    Cam sounds solid 👌 also sounds like it would like a little more timing. I wouldn't get hung up on a should-be timing number the dynamics of every engine is different and people tend to get hung on static numbers

    Looks like you may need a water pump riser, to get the fan centerd

    I like the manual water temp gauges for that reason and that's all, I install older vehicles.

    It must of been the blinker fluid was running out of the steering column LOL!!!

    You need to have the car running when you check the trans fluid level, and it sounds like it needs the rockers adjusted

    • @79tazman
      @79tazman 3 года назад

      Not to check if there is fluid in the trans you don't

  • @HeathBilbrey
    @HeathBilbrey 4 года назад +1

    The lifters or rockers are really noisy. Maybe you have not adjusted the rockers after a heat cycle? Sounds like a diesel. Beautiful car.

      Looks as though he is not planning hood sides - coil over mounts also would be a problem for sides. But it will look great with those valve covers out on the open.
