Hey Moron (no offense, ha!) the tune David played solo is "The Engagement Waltz", an original tune he recorded and is on his Lone Soldier CD, which is a great cd btw.
the problem here is 3 guys playing rhythm drowning out the lead player..David is the strongest player bringing his notes out a little more..just too many guitars at once..David Grier is in a world of his own and far beyond the pack
+shad8166 Thanks for the reply. Not to disagree, but this wasn't a competition- it was a workshop. We all had fun doing this. As for the sound levels, keep a few things in mind. First, this recording was sent to me by a friend and was made from the audience using a hand held video recorder. So I don't expect studio perfection. Second, in live situations like this one those of us on stage only have limited control over how things sound out front, we rely on what we can hear through monitors. I assure you no one tried to drown out the other players, though I agree the mix could have been better at times. But taken for what it is, it's not bad imo. As for David being the better player here, well he is alien from another planet. ;) Hope you managed to enjoy some of it. Thanks for listening and commenting.
Thanks for the upload too! Killer playing in there.
Oh god bless you ! Thanks !!
I played with all these guys before most of them are pretty good.
