Dude who cares? We have phones that’s the point? Why make nonsense modifications to an old product that has no use in modern world. 😂 that camera quality is horrible
@@rolls_8798 I’m 14 dude. I made and fixed things that i can. 😊 but that were useful. The video quality of the barbie camera oozes nostalgia. Everything immediately feels like the 90's. This was really an amazing and inspirational build. Now you just need to add an IR LED or two for some low-fi "night vision" I also never heard of those mini DVRs, definitely something to check out.
@spongerobert Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support! And yeah! I already have a night vision light your suggestion sound really interesting!
Next step is to find a tiny little lcd screen and mount it on that flip out portion. Great video. To not be a "professional" you do great mods. And good explanations too.
Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 Adding a screen would be a fantastic next step, and I’ve actually been thinking about trying something like that! I really appreciate your support!
I feel like one of these Barbie cameras would be one of the best to do a lens mod for C mount lenses. I love these videos a lot and you have me checking out retro video cameras
That’s such a great idea! A C-mount lens mod on a Barbie camera would be a super fun project, and it would definitely give the camera a unique vintage look with those retro lenses. I’m so glad you're enjoying the videos, and it’s awesome to hear you're diving into retro video cameras! There's something really special about giving new life to old tech. Stay tuned for more projects :)
Not only do you take amazing cameras and make them better, this camera that was supposed to be very bad you made it amazing!!! Love all your videos, you are at the top of camera hacking!! It's like a whole new genre!! Specially the idea of how to circumvent the battery for so cheap that is something I will be applying on many of my older ccd cameras!!!
I love all of your videos, but this one was especially fun! It’s great that you’ve figured out how to make these cameras completely standalone now, rather than having to attach the new components to the outside. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed this one, it was definitely a fun challenge! Making the cameras fully standalone was a big goal for me , so I’m glad that resonated with you. I’ve got some exciting projects lined up, so stay tuned, there’s always something fun in the works! Thanks for your support! 🙌
This is a cool project. But I can't help but think of how much of a miniaturization marvel that mini dvr is. Money simply could not have bought you such a tiny high quality recorder full stop back when this camera was new. Crazy how far tech has come in the past 20 years.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! 😊 It's been a lot of fun bringing these old cameras back to life with some modern updates. There's just something special about blending vintage tech with today’s possibilities!
Very good! It's exciting to see the entire project and how you thought of everything. I watched another video of yours and I really enjoyed following your process!
