What do you mean ”that’s it”? It’s like saying “the only difference between your car and my car is your car gets 30 mpg and mine gets 12. That’s it” Frame rate is a huge deal! Destiny 2, for example, runs far smoother on PC than the locked 30 fps on console
A good feature on PC is the downscaling to say 80-90% resolution when running at 4k works very well. The game still looks very sharp, and it's far superior to the typical blurry vision of setting the res directly to something non-native.
I like how this youtuber puts so much effort in these videos and all he gets are comment wars between the ps4/ps4 pro and the xbox one/xbox one x and some pc gamers in between :/ ... and btw keep up the good work candyland :)
People here saying there are no major differences need to think about the fact they are seeing it on the tiny youtube window. I played black flag on the pc and also on a friend's console(ps4). The console version looked closer to the pc low settings. Things look much different in the real game than on youtube. Almost every other game has the same problem.
the black flag version was not a next gen game. it was ported to ps4 later. try origins on ps4 and compare it to pc and you will see the graphical differences are very little though the fps is the only issue

Too be honest pc games and consoles look pretty much the same when played at 1080p. The only big difference is fps.. people also forgot that console players use a tv and sit quite far away. PC players have a monitor right in thier face. While playing on a TV its really hard to notice all those slight differences.. i have tested quite a few games that i own on ps4 pro and my PC (i7 6700k, 16GB RAM, RX 480 8GB) once i get my xbox one x and 65inch 4k tv i am going to hook my pc up to my tv and see if i notice any difference at a much higher res

If I was to come to you with 3 identical box but in it there is one ps4, one xbox one and one PC (I7 OC, 1080ti)... and I told you: you can only take one box, you have 1hr to test all of them on the monitor/tv of your choice... (gameplay) at least 90% of the people would take the box with the PC in it. and if it was only plugged on a 4k display, 99,9% would take the PC...
Having just finished this on PC with as close to 100% completion as I could get on max detail, there's a lot more than just shadows that some here keep saying. It can be hard to see all the little things I suppose to the untrained eye. You need to watch some long-ish active game-play sequences to notice besides static closeup comparisons.
i love seeing people say "its only the fps" 60 fps vs 30 fps makes the biggest difference in image quality. especially if your in a game with fast action.

I've tried this on a 1050 ti and doesn't run great. I think I might refund it and get the ps4 version. Also, I've head a strange audio glitch on PC. It will probably be fixed in the next couple of days, but it is really distracting.
I think it’s supposed to run at 35- 45fps on a1050ti ultra Maybe you have an old cpu which bottlenecking and keep in mind that the PS4 version runs at a sub 30fps
I do think the softer shadows look more realistic and natural, but obviously PC looks the best, the console shadows aren't soft because of aesthetics, you can see jaggies, with PC they could add in softer shadows with a much higher resolution.

Both consoles are running at 30 FPS. Also there is no fixed resolution, both consoles use "dynamic rendering", means it depends on the load of the GPU how good the resolution is. F.e staying in the desert can give you 1080p while running in Alexandria lowers your resolution to keep the framerate stable. The game looks better on the PS4, because it has more power, so the resoultion does not have to be lowered as often as on the Xbox. BTW, "dynamic rendering" is also avaible on the PC. I'm not sure if the PC version has been enhanced. PS4 and PC look pretty similar, but usually games that come out on PC's end up looking awesome after people get into the graphics textures and make them high resolution. Then again, you will need a very pricey graphics card that can cost more than a PS4 itself...
ok... PC 4K - No frame limits ... consoles 4k 30 or full hd 60.... this in the most powerful console that has not even been released ... I only regret the consolidators but before releasing it they have gone back again .. kkk
There will be no native 4k rendering for the XBOX One X, even high end graphic cards can hardly manage it. They use "checkerboard rendering" instead, so a resolution of 1920x2160. And even that is hard to handle.
Freitag T15 it's literally just frame rate and if a game makes 30-40fps look smooth it's not a problem. GTA V on PS4 runs at around 30fps and it looks fine because they made it smooth
Nitelynx96 You and me have a different understanding of smooth. "Smooth" is 60fps at minimum. 100hz is optimal, 144hz is bae. anything above 144hz is very hard to take advantage of. But 30fps isn't smooth. It's a "cinematic experience". The cover the fast that it runs at 30 by applying huge amounts of motion blur and motion smoothing. It's not just a framerate either. There is difference in LOD, FOV, texture res, shadow res, texture filtering, Antialiasing.. also resolution.. which will probably be 720p on consoles..
As someone who is an avid PC gamer AND PS4....let's lay this out as some of the below comments have validity. I think what they're trying to say is that it's true RUclips cannot show the subtle differences that one will experience when playing between the two systems. On consoles there will be drops down to the twenties and even High Teens as that's already been shown to happen. whereas on PC the fluidity of movements and the detail in graphics can make all the difference in the world. I'm not bashing my PS4 or any consoles as I love playing certain games on consoles over PC.... But there are a lot more differences than just showin here. Everyone is constantly yelling PC Master race... And of course us console Gamers aren't disagreeing with you... Of course when you build a PC that can surpass and control every component within it of course you were going to have better resolution frame rates and Graphics overall. But you have to understand why consoles have to cap out there FPS at 30 (on most games). All of that said... Yes it is a beautiful game and I can't wait to play it. As much as I want to play it on PC I actually really enjoy using a controller for Assassin's Creed games so I'm not sure which platform I'll purchase it on

Gaming PCs are for anybody who wants to have the most optimized experience. Consoles are for anybody... who does not care about the most optimized experience. Gaming PCs can be upgraded on your own time. Console players have to wait for the companies new upgraded console to release. Games cost the same price on both and they both get sales on their platforms. Only real discount on Gaming PCs is that you don’t have to pay for online multiplayer and difference, is Gaming PCs can be used as a normal Computer for anything. I bought a ps4 for the first time and played division and origins in it and completed them. Then out of curiosity I downloaded the trial version of demo on PC from Ubiplay and found that gameplay is more smooth in PC than PS4 although I though console to be more of a baseline for games after 2017. FPS was almost 50+ and mechanics were easy to handle there. My question comes here when I want to buy Odyssey, Division 2, Just Cause 4, BF 5 and COW BO4, for which platform should I buy?

dara goulding 24-30fps is fine for TV shows and movies. Gaming on the otherhand is much different because you are controlling the character and can feel the choppiness of the movements.

Yeah PS4 has the best exclusives (as does Nintendo), unfortunately they have a limited fan base. You'll find nothing like Uncharted, God Of War, Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn etc. ANYWHERE else. ;o)

while the ps4pro have 4.2 teraflops

Freitag T15 it's literally just frame rate and if a game makes 30-40fps look smooth it's not a problem. GTA V on PS4 runs at around 30fps and it looks fine because they made it smooth
Nitelynx96 You and me have a different understanding of smooth. "Smooth" is 60fps at minimum. 100hz is optimal, 144hz is bae. anything above 144hz is very hard to take advantage of. But 30fps isn't smooth. It's a "cinematic experience".
The cover the fast that it runs at 30 by applying huge amounts of motion blur and motion smoothing.
It's not just a framerate either. There is difference in LOD, FOV, texture res, shadow res, texture filtering, Antialiasing.. also resolution.. which will probably be 720p on consoles..

As someone who is an avid PC gamer AND PS4....let's lay this out as some of the below comments have validity. I think what they're trying to say is that it's true RUclips cannot show the subtle differences that one will experience when playing between the two systems. On consoles there will be drops down to the twenties and even High Teens as that's already been shown to happen. whereas on PC the fluidity of movements and the detail in graphics can make all the difference in the world. I'm not bashing my PS4 or any consoles as I love playing certain games on consoles over PC.... But there are a lot more differences than just showin here.
Everyone is constantly yelling PC Master race... And of course us console Gamers aren't disagreeing with you... Of course when you build a PC that can surpass and control every component within it of course you were going to have better resolution frame rates and Graphics overall. But you have to understand why consoles have to cap out there FPS at 30 (on most games).
All of that said... Yes it is a beautiful game and I can't wait to play it. As much as I want to play it on PC I actually really enjoy using a controller for Assassin's Creed games so I'm not sure which platform I'll purchase it on

these videos are literally pointless, people are watching from pc's tablets/phones or consoles that have a set resolution and fps there is no way to tell the difference unless you have all 3 side by side IRL, for example on destiny 2 a ps4 is playing at 1080p 30 fps well a pc could be at 100+fps in 4k

I bought a ps4 for the first time and played division and origins in it and completed them. Then out of curiosity I downloaded the trial version of demo on PC from Ubiplay and found that gameplay is more smooth in PC than PS4 although I though console to be more of a baseline for games after 2017. FPS was almost 50+ and mechanics were easy to handle there. My question comes here when I want to buy Odyssey, Division 2, Just Cause 4, BF 5 and COW BO4, for which platform should I buy?

dara goulding 24-30fps is fine for TV shows and movies. Gaming on the otherhand is much different because you are controlling the character and can feel the choppiness of the movements.

Yeah PS4 has the best exclusives (as does Nintendo), unfortunately they have a limited fan base. You'll find nothing like Uncharted, God Of War, Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn etc. ANYWHERE else. ;o)
