@@Jesus_Loves_You_Son I'm no doc, but I just had to go through surgery (literally yesterday) because of not listening to the first suggestion "don't over do it" . If you can use a recumbent/stationary bike instead I would suggest that.
I was even in physical therapy last year for my meniscus, thought it was gravy, but got too cocky and made it so much worse 😭

@@BushidoBrown117 Hi! I didn't have surgery for torn meniscus as I'm in the UK and it's becoming fairly much impossible to get treatment for any condition at all. A post on my GP's website says a torn meniscus will get better on its own and you don't need to see a doctor!
It's 4 months nearly, and although it's much better it hurts quite badly the day after I've done any walking or gardening. It's mending slowly though! Yes, still hard to walk downhill.
I can't imagine what additional pain you must have due to surgery on top of your injury 😥 I hope it starts easing up soon? Let's hope we're all good by Christmas as that's my goal for my knee. Where is your scar on the inside of your knee? Has that healed ok?

Granted the pain came back after a day of not exercising the glutes, but opening up the knee and allowing more blood flow in there made a big difference. Will keep doing more such exercises. Thank you!

I tore mine 19 years ago, didn't get surgery and took me more than a year to heal. But 19 years older and overdoing a landscaping job on our property and think I tore again. Not as much pain as before but same spot. Seeing this is good timing, will wear a knee sleeve and work on glutes. Now to figure out how to do that! Thanks!

Hey Joyce! So sorry to hear you tore your meniscus again! Using a knee brace and offloading your knee as much as possible could be very helpful during your early stage of healing. We would also recommend applying yourself in strengthening your glutes without overdoing it or trying to go to fast! Hi Rose, We are sorry to hear about your meniscus tear that you have been dealing with for 7 years! Yes, these exercises will help but you must be consistent with the exercises. They should be done daily and throughout the day. You want to do as many as you can until you fatigue the muscle without losing form. We have a meniscus help playlist that would be beneficial. The first time I was at home sick and I wasn't doing any activity and so the knee was able to rest for about a week and a half and the pain went away completely. But then when I went back to work some of the pain came back. Then I had a very long shift where I worked 8 hours and I did a lot of walking and I walked over 8 MI I had no pain. And so far the pain hasn't come back so I'm wondering has the meniscus healed or am I in for some more pain in the future?

I believe I have a meniscus tear.I went to an orthopedic, and he said I need an MRI. I'm waiting for an MRI appointment. I'm going back to the Dr in a couple of weeks, and he said if it is its surgery. I've had this for three months, and it's a lot better than what it was in the beginning. Watching this video, I'm starting to think should I have surgery "scarry". Your opinion please. Thank You!

i have a docs appointment as I have mild pain when I turn my foot inwards and if i kneel down on it. Movement wise it's fine though, no pops or locking. I play baseball and played 5 games in a tournament over a weekend last weekend, it was sore at the start of the day but once I warmed up seemed better, then quite sore at night after I cooled down. Do I have a sprain or is this a muscle thing instead?

I tore my meniscus sprinting down hill while zig zagging, not sure how that happened as I normally run hills with 30lbs of weight for speed and resistance. My meniscus hurt the next day. I can't believe it was that easy to tear, specially after my body was used to running with weight.

I twisted my knee suddenly when doing a split squat. Didn't hurt & no swelling or redness. But since then, I can't do movements that require me to jump off that knee for very long (eg, jump rope, shooting a basketball). Can only do these movements for 5 or 10 minutes before pain starts. Can jog & walk fine. Could this be a torn meniscus? PT said it could be an externally rotated tibia. It's been 6 to 8 months & has not shown any signs of healing yet. Any advice on natural recovery tips would be appreciated!!
