What a fabulous Manor Home Alessa! I’m amazed and thrilled to see how intact it is. America is much too young to have wonderful medieval places such as these to explore. You are so fortunate to be absolutely surrounded with so much rich and fascinating history. If I lived where you do I’d be doing exactly what you’re doing, visiting and filming these castles, ancient manor houses and monasteries. In the mean time I’ll just have to enjoy these places through your videos.

now this IS my favourite place to visit, not really a castle but a fortified manor. I started going there some 10 years ago, and immediately made contact with 2 boys who died in the fire there, they are usually in the area of the white wooden stairs - looking down. Have received numerous excellent EVPs from here, never anything other than friendly,,,the only down side is the appalling road to get there

Glad you enjoyed it Julie and Tony, thank you ever so much for the comment, so back in 'ye olde day' hehe, basically if it didn't have a fireplace ( which this hall didn't ) they would have had like a fire pit or a hearth that would have sat in the middle of the room, then above this would have been an opening in the roof so that the air could flow out of it, very very old school and was the reason that so many places were burnt!! Hi Alessa,
Wow this castle is well maintained and still intact.
It is splendid to watch it has a lot of charm and the UK stone masons' crafty hands work.
I wonder those stones set on the ground are original??? Beautiful but no high heels for sure.
Yes, the roofline is like from a children's story book, very traditional!!
High ceiling and wooden beams are extortionary. Are those woods original?
I have never seen the fireplaces muscular in their construction. 8:33
It will be interesting to find those characters in the castle! 12:39
Would you like to stay at this castle if it is offered? I would! Lovely!!! Got unlimited internet? ahhhh haunted ?
Thank YOU, Alessa for educating me.
