Finally taking the opportunity to share my music sanctuary! It's not grand, but it brings me joy. #vinylcommunity #musicroom #vinylcollection #musiccollection
Thanks! I was surprised at how much room is available once all the kids move out. As for the stool, at least it's not UK. Although, unlike the Wolverines, they're not much of a threat to TN 😉
I appreciate that! Thank you for your service as well! I'm guessing from your user name you have ties to Alaska? I was stationed at Elmendorf from '92 to '95 - absolutely loved it. Anyway, the shelves I use for my records are Kallax 4x4 from Ikea. Thanks for watching!
Love your room. I want to recommend 2 vinyl releases to you. Medieval Death LP and free DVD and the Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP. If you want to know more Google [Medieval Death LP and free DVD + Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP], then check audio, videos etc. \m/
Thank you! I also appreciate the recommendations - I'm not really a fan of death metal but I do sometimes dig some thrash. I'll give these LPs a look nevertheless
@@DavesBasementGrooves Medieval Death is definitely Thrash, no doubt about that at all. Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” to me is DeathThrash or Thrash Death if you prefer ;-) Medieval Death is the better band in my opinion.
Nice set up. I cringed there for a minute as you walked past the stool. I was waiting for the infamous Go Blue, but you held back. (I'm from Buchanan... The other side of the state... But a Hoosier fan😅) But seriously... You have some vintage equipment, and picture criticizing punk and David Lee Roth on the floor... Well done. And BTW... That' clock is awesome. Sets off the wall with style and purpose.
The room is awesome! The speakers look fantastic and I've had an LP120 and loved it. Dig that you've got a Spin Clean - it's the only 'cleaning machine' I've ever had. Gets the job done. Great posters, and I dig the wall color. Killer space! Great CD shelves, I can't find anything like those. Cheers, Tom
Thanks Tom! I've had that LP120 for 8 years now, and besides upgrading the stylus it's been rockin' steady. I found the speakers in a barn a few years back and after a little dusting off they've been just great. I'm with ya on the Spin Clean - worth every penny! The CD shelves I got at home depot - www.homedepot.com/p/Prepac-Black-Media-Storage-BMA-0960/203055213 . They're pretty solid and stable, I'm happy with 'em. Thanks for stopping by!
I have the same shelving system for 17k records. I suggest getting firm backing cut and attached as it makes them loads stronger. You don't want them to collapse when full. Gotta luv those round black spinning music makers ❤
Great tip! I did intend to put a backing on prior to loading them up, but I was too impatient haha. I know that one of these days I'll need to go back and get that done. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely dream place for music and friends! So cool! I wish i'll have place like this in the future... I have about 500 records and 150 cd's and a nice modest stereo setup. Enjoy your time buddy! ❤
Really nice spacious music room, ideal listening room. That architectural salvage piece at the end of the video needs to be housed in a glass cabinet...
Thanks for stopping by! I'm due for an upgrade, for sure, and one soon day I'll pull the trigger. I'm enjoying what I have currently, so the pressure's not exactly on haha. I appreciate your comment!
Thank you! Yeah, the basement was pretty much my only option for a music room - according to my wife, anyway haha. But It works! Thank you for watching and subscribing!
Hey ! You have the same Vinyl Junkie sign we have! Very nice room, Hideelee loves the shadowbox! Holy crap, a piece of the Grande Ballroom, right in your house. That might have magical powers you haven't unleashed yet. Be careful, could be like the tiki necklace on "the Brady Bunch" Ghostly apparitions of the MC5 appearing in your basement in the middle of the night. We did a tour of our music room early in our time here on RUclips also.
Thank you thank you! Yeah, I have seen that vinyl junkie sign in quite a few other folks' videos haha. I fell in love with that shadowbox when I first saw it - no leaving the store and coming back a week later, I snagged it right away. So, I've been thinking about MC5 haunting the basement - yeah, I'm all in for that lol! I totally appreciate you guys stopping by (all the way from TC!) and commenting. I've subbed ya and am looking forward to diving into your vids. Cheers!
What a fantastic room! I love the colors you've chosen. Very nice handbills. Awesome CD storage unit. That's a very nice vintage system, I bet it sounds great. I love your posters. A wonder space to hang out in. Take care, Dave.
Thank you! The sound is great - for me. Not sure an audiophile would agree, but at my age I doubt I'd hear the difference anyway lol. Thanks so much for stopping by and the kind words. Cheers!
Beautiful job on your listening room. The floor looks great too. I recently put a floor in like that and my back hurt for days! The cabinet of drawers you repurposed for the Cds was genius. From a fellow USAF Veteran - well done. Thank you for your service and sacrifice - never forget. Greg
Hey Greg! Thanks for stopping by and the great feedback! Yeah, I felt like I should've been in traction after putting that floor in haha. USAF 90-98!! Thank you for your service as well brother!
Hi. Thank you for this nice music room tour video. I love it. It looks very nice and cozy. Awesome collection. I subbed your channel. Take care. Cheers 🤘🏻
Hey DBG…Great room. Basement Grooves for sure. Makes you want to pull up a beanbag chair, get that Lava lamp cooking, and listen to Dark Side of the Moon. Right in the middle of those gorgeous Fishers. (I’ve got a sweet Fisher mini-system, on the bookshelf, behind me)…🍻
Thank you! Yeah, I am definitely missing a beanbag chair lol. I've been very happy with those Fishers, but I believe the right one is starting to wonk out. Hopefully it'll hold out till I find a replacement pair (for cheap, of course haha). Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Yeah, that CD drawer was an inspired find by my wife. Those ST signatures are a physical artifact of the exact moment that I discovered the band - and became a fan. Thanks for stopping by!
@@MegaPalesz you’re welcome I have a modest system. Micro Seiki Solid 5 Turntable (from 1974) and a Marantz 2220B Receiver (From 1974) with Paradigm Speakers. Hope that helps, I thought the Blue would be better because of the hype, it wasn’t…
Very nice!
Noticed a DLR album and a Cars one .. this guy has class
I am jealous of how much room you have. Looks amazing......except for that Michigan stool.

Dude thats a nice listening space, love the blue walls, the clock ties it all together beautifully
Thank you! I was a little worried about the blue as I was painting, but it really worked out well. I appreciate you stopping by! Cheers!

Thank you! Yes, a glass cabinet is absolutely one of the ideas we're floating around and, honestly, probably the most practical and responsible.
Hey, thanks for sharing, nice room and you have a very awesome wife,
Thank you! Yeah, she's a keeper haha. I am very lucky that she's as supportive of my "habit" as she is. Cheers!

300.00 turntable ?
Hardly call that reference
Where did you get the record shelves from? They look like Ikea Kallax but they are 5x4 secional.. never seen that before. seems great
