"Fireheart, Bluestar, and Ravensong have fled ThunderClan after the murder of Spottedleaf by Tigerstar. They have taken refuge in BloodClan, but Fireheart feels heartbroken, reeling from everything he has suddenly lost - his mentor Spottedleaf, his Clan, his life as a mender, his connection to StarClan. Here in the tangle of city streets he can barely see the stars, but still he beseeches them for answers - how did this happen? Why did they not warn him? Can't they see all these cats who are suffering? Can't they see him?
StarClan doesn't answer. And Fireheart is left alone to grapple with the loss."

This is NOT from the Boon AU - no relation at all to our lad Boonstar and FireClan. It is, however, from probably my favorite Warriors AU of all time, Fire Lilies by @LenisLynx !! It's an AU where instead of becoming a warrior, Fireheart chooses to become a mender (medicine cats are called menders in the FL AU. ^^) It is very beautiful and Fire Lilies Fireheart is a soft squishy boy who I adore. (His journey and religious trauma also resonate deeply for me, and I put a lot of that into this animatic. :') ) This video is also my gift to LenisLynx because of all the incredible work they do for the Warrior Cats community and for my own projects. Next Up Forever is only happening because of them, and if you haven't subbed to them yet, please please do they are amazing.

I had the idea to do a video with this song and challenged myself to make something with it, even if it was rough, and not get noodly with the details. I failed on the getting noodly with the details part, BUT I'm happy with the end result, and I got it done in only a couple weeks! It also gave me a good excuse to learn more about animation layers in Storyboard Pro, and I gotta say I'm a fan.
I used George Dempsey-Gidley's cover of the song, which of course the original belongs to Disney.

I love how you do the scene with Fire and StarClan followed by him reaching out for them! I think it displays the story really well. Overall this animatic is great, good job!
The flashback scene gave me chills, what a cool AU.
After taking your seminar, I really noticed how fireheart was moving to the left as he gets further and further into his heartache. Such awesome symbolism with the clouds, and I loved the shot transition with his paw outstretched at the end, and how he climbs to the rooftop. I really understood what was going on in the AU through the images!

I genuinely appreciate the disclaimer in the description!! So many people overlook this word because it’s said so damn often in media, as well as portraying harmful stereotypes.
With that said, this animatic was amazing! This is such an interesting AU, I’ll have to check it out for sure. I always loved the idea of Fire becoming a medicine cat/mender, LenisLynx did not disappoint in the slightest

Astounding animatic, it’s absolutely beautiful! It really gets the emotions across and I can absolutely feel Fireheart’s anguish here… Honestly, every Fireheart animatic you post just makes me love his character more. You just portray him so wonderfully!

Your storyboards are clear to read and have such interesting composition, that rooftop scene when he sings about spottedleaf and the others is so pretty 🥹 and the clouds moving and wind AHH you are a true inspiration to me, thank you for making this and all your other storyboards ❤️

I just love how even in still images you convey movement and emotion so wondefully. Absolutely love this entire video but the part that sticks out the most is that clouds scene it's just gorgeous. Wonderful job Rooke ❤
