      @zekeuhl I'll be getting back into more P10 work after the new year once mechanical projects slow down and it's too cold to take the project cars out. You can follow along for updates on the Vortec 4200 Performance and Swap facebook group, as well as my website atlasinds.com

      UniversalPatcher guys have been working on it too. Free software that works with an OBDLink SX (the red cable to the right in this video).

    Great informative video. The E67 / T42 combo was used in so many different GM vehicles, even the Northstars (what I usually wrench on) ran that one from 2006-2011.
    Keep up the great work!

      @NorthstarPerformance I forgot about the Northstar with that combo! And same to you, I'm looking forward to you offering the head stud kits for the 4200, It's a well needed item.

    Can't wait for the tutorial on the P10. Been trying to understand and learn hot to pep my trailblazer up but find it super hard to find any info on the P10.

    • @Atlas-Industries
      @Atlas-Industries  Месяц назад +2

      Sounds like I have motivation to get that out sooner than later then! The P10 is not hard to tune, actually the easiest of all the 4200 ECUs, it's just that it's "different" enough that many of the typical LS tuning tutorials don't quite apply like they do for the E67 etc, and the tables are not exactly intuitive.

    Great information brother!!! With all of the support for the 4200 now, I am going to do a 4200 swap when I get done with my Ls3 swap

    Some of those older chipped ECUs work with a 7x crank signal. If I can run a P59 on a CB450 without most sensors and all DTCs disabled (yes, even those DTCs), you could sort that out. That's available as a base tune for testing. Wish I had a 6 cylinder to test the P59 without a custom OS.

    Broooo, you are a wealth of knowledge. I WISH i know how to do all this ECU/PCM wizardry. Definitely subbed. I plan on doing a 4200 swap into my trans am. Also, i have the lovely Alpha-N PCM for my 03 Cavalier and have that tuning issue. Are there any options for my situation? Otherwise I was looking at wiring in an aftermarket ECU and retaining the stock one for non-engine functions.

      @@GridIndustries thanks sir, glad I can help share some info. As for the Cavalier, is it an Ecotec or the old 2200 or 2.4 LD9? And shameless plug, check out my website at atlasinds.com

    Is there any way to get around doing a case relearn on a p12? I had to replace my ecu for my 3500 and tried doing a case relearn with hpt, snap on tool and an autel tool and no success

    • @Atlas-Industries
      @Atlas-Industries  Месяц назад +1

      @scottharris5421 not that I'm aware of, I've had the best luck doing "GM things" using either a Tech 2 or or clone with a VCX Diag NANO and the tech2win software. To relearn the crank position it can be finicky, you have to do the procedure 100% by the book.

    • @scottharris5421
      @scottharris5421 Месяц назад +1

      @Atlas-Industries that's what I've heard. Looks like the dealer is about my only option around here to find a tech 2. Thanks for the help

    • @Atlas-Industries
      @Atlas-Industries  Месяц назад

      @scottharris5421 no prob! You might want to keep an eye on ebay or FB marketplace for a VCX Diag Nano for cheap. I got one for 100 bucks and it allows you to use Tech 2 Win software which emulates a Tech 2 interface on your laptop. Super handy and way cheaper that a real Tech 2. Sometimes a bit glitch when setting up, but for the price you can't beat it. I am really surprised a snap on or Autel couldn't do it though.
