Ok, the wave around cars are supposed to be any lap down cars between the pace car and the leader after pit stops on a caution. On the caution on lap 212 when Jimmie Johnson was in the pits at the time of the caution and went down a lap, he came out of the pits behind Matt Kenseth who stayed on the lead lap. Kenseth cycled thru to the lead because he didn't pit. Therefore Johnson was still behind him. Why was he permitted to take the wave around, not being in front of the leader?

The problem I have with these races is that they are just too.... damn....long! Heat racing at the local bull ring are way more fun to watch. Nobody has time to just do laps then go at the end. You got to go now!
I thought Atlanta was pretty good just because of how much the tires would ware out during a run and there was some good racing throughout the field. They were slippin and slidin. Just my opinion though.
NASCAR continues to get worse, one race at a time. Look at all the empty seats for this race. You know it's bad after seeing all the empty seats at Bristol this weekend. Must be the economy, lol. Maybe if there actually was some racing during the NASCAR race, it might attract some fans. Throw in a few more debris cautions.......
Adam Win it rained, I was there, when it rains a lot of people leave. The race ended at 2 am, there was also a lot of people there at the start just a lot of people left.
You can tell how bad NASCAR is getting because of the fans in the stands the last two races. Texas and Bristol is usually sold out and there were a lot of empty seats here. Is it because there is no competition or they don't like the new rules? Someone explain please.
+Tony Stark most likely combination of the two plus I think since a lot of the greats are retired now old fans don't care to watch most of the drivers today.. maybe they need to bring back the cars from 2001-2006 back
keenen benton I don't think that will happen. Also I think that most of it is because Jeff Gordon retired too because he had a lot of fan base in Nascar. I have to admit even I have lost a lot of interest in NASCAR after Gordon left. And the stupid penalties that makes no sense. Drivers getting suspended or fined more then other drivers is unfair to other people I think. Like what happened last year with Kenseth and Logano. I think Kenseth was unjustified.
+Tony Stark I agree man.. I started watching the cup series in 99 when it was on top& it's just become really sad to see the sport descend more & more every year
Was at this race. I had an awesome time. Not the most entertaining race this season but it was a blast to be at.
wow

Not sure if you still need an answer but In nascar the first car one lap down gets a free pass it’s called the lucky dog..
Not sure how these videos are captured/put together, but why is it every caution commercial break goes to Kevin Harvick's in-car camera?
Dale Earnhardt Jr’s pit is where the fuel man accidentally spill the gasoline that causes a fire. The safety workers quickly extinguished the fire.

+kinggimp3 sounds like you only judge a race by the cautions, srsly? you must be kidding

Isn't it a shame to try and manufacture entertainment though?
it still is the most watched and most attended spectator sport in america
Adam Win maybe people cant afford going so they watch it at home
These tracks with two dates just need to go back to one to have good crowds again. Especially Texas, which doesn't even have good racing.
