There is only one GOAT of WR's and that would be Jerry Rice. That being said, T.O. still deserved the Hall of Fame. Frankly he should have made it first ballot. Being snubbed twice was a flat out insult.
The NFL is the only sport where "showboating" is an issue... the entire league is a joke. It makes the game more entertaining. I guess that's not an option for triggered old white people.

He was a straight up beast that played the game with a passion and had fun and he wasn't afraid to express himself.
Owens in his prime was just about as a complete Wide Receiver as you could ask for. Size, strength, speed, hands, route running, could block when needed. People also don't give him enough credit for his toughness, that game with the eagles, coming back so fast from rehab and putting in the performance he did was utterly amazing. A bit too flamboyant for my taste, but I have no problem separating the man from the player on the field.
I think Owens was also the prototype for the modern wide receiver that we now see as normal. He was 6'3", 230ish pounds, he dwarfed most corners in height, was faster, stronger and bullied them around. They couldn't jam or press him like they could other receivers. Before him, Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin were the norm from a physical standpoint, long and lean. Owens was a physical freak at his position at the time. Owens as a player was a 1st ballot hall of famer, and a top 3 receiver of all time. I'm of the opinion that if you don't like his celebrations, then stop him from scoring.

T.O. is a Hall Of Famer. There is no argument. At all. I don't care that he had an attitude. Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin and Chris Carter are Hall Of Famers and had the same atritudes T.O. did and the NFL isn't about your attitude. It's about production. And only Jerry Rice performed better than T.O. And he was and is a First Ballot Hall Of Famer. He was screwed plain and simple.
