Spend some time Nordic skiing in Lapland.
Welcome to this recreational winter activity in Abisko-an extraordinary way to holiday in Sweden. You are bound to enjoy exploring Abisko National Park at a good pace on skis. Get ready for this thrilling adventure, and expect crystals of ice all over your hair as you explore the wilderness.
Enjoy the scenery at Abisko National Park.
This mountainous paradise belonging to Kiruna Municipality was established in 1909. The park is popular for its cross-country skiing and other winter sports.
    Explore the rocks of Abiskojokk.
A visit to Abisko cannot be considered complete without an adventurous tour of this rocky river tucked within Abisko National Park. Visiting the Ice Hotel 365 in Kiruna
The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi (outside Kiruna) actually consists of two ice hotels: one that is rebuilt each season, and a brand new ice hotel that will be open 365 days a year! That might seem crazy when you think of all the sun that will be shining on the hotel during the summer, but they’ve actually set up solar panels to harness the power of the midnight sun to keep the interior a cool -5 degrees.
    Husky Sledding
A lot of places in Abisco, especially caravan rentals, offer husky sledding and lots of other tours and activities. While having fun with the Huskies you’re also helping them, they also get so much more exercise and socializing than any pet at home would, and huskies are meant to live in the cold so this is where they’re the happiest.
    Get the Sami Reindeer Experience.
You can’t say you visited Abisko without seeing the great reindeers. Although the price of this experience is quite expensive, it is surely worth it. You can go sleigh riding with these fantastic creatures and afterward feed them in their pens. If you think they’re cooped up all year long, don't worry, the reindeers are only cooped up in the winter - in the summer they wander the surrounding woods and mountains completely freely before they are rounded up again for the winter. So make sure to come around during the wintertime and enjoy the wonderful experience.
