Dentists on youtube seem to care more since they have more time to talk about the topic, dentists while your on a appointment on another hand have to go fast so they can attend the other patient waiting to go after you. Its stupid, they should really educate patients. Because some patients don't know how to properly use internet. Like my mother.

Xylitol after you eat, wait 1 hour to begin any brushing because food makes your enamal weak and brushing too soon will do more harm than good. Then rinse mouth with closys ultra sensitive mouthwash. This helps your biofilm and flora, it also goes under your gums and inbetween your teeth, interproximal areas, and get rid of the plaque and help balance your mouths ph so your mouth isnt acidic after. Then you brush with fluoride, make sure you learn how to brush properly, watch a video, not aggressive, 45 degree angle to get under gums. Then after use listerine which will take place of flossing. Studies have show listerine when not diluted is over 4x more effective at preventing cavities between teeth. I dont like flossing, ESPECIALLY if you have receding gums because it can make the issue worse and it can also spread infection in your mouth. Although you must do something to prevent interpeoximal (between teeth) and under gum cavities. Then after you finish with sensodyne proenamel repair with fluoride then you use xylitol to increase amount of saliva in your mouth. Dentist medling in your mouth usually will cause more harm than good. I suggest everyone try this and still go to dentist. If you see proof it doesnt help you after 3 months then go ahead and waste thousands if you would like.
That's how I do it! Floss, mouthwash then brush.. But people always said i was wrong

That lady sounds South African. If she is it explains a lot. I'm South African and MOST (not all) of the dentists here are a nightmare. I have so many stories of getting really bad treatment from the dentists here. To name a few: one cut so deep into my gums that I had to get stitches (she atleast treated the cut for free). One cut my gums and was FREAKING OUT over the blood which freaked me out, she kept saying "omg it won't stop bleeding, omg what do I do" (I bleed very easily and A LOT). One numbed my tooth then she IMMEDIATELY started working on it, she didn't even give it a few seconds to get numb then got PISSED at me for saying it hurts. One injured a nerve in my mouth when injecting me which caused the half of my tongue to be numb for over a year, when I went back to him to ask wtf is going on he got annoyed with me and just brushed it off. My one friend had to get a tooth extracted, they put him under anaesthesia and then PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH.

Here's what all my dentists in Sweden say to me (I ask a lot of questions):
1. Use floss daily, ideally after every meal but at least each morning and night.
2. Fill the whole tooth brush with tooth paste and brush for 2 minutes. The reason being because it takes up to 2 minutes for the flouride to absorb into the enamel and a pea sized amount of tooth paste does not contain enough of the flouride.
3. Use mouth wash in addition to flossing and brushing because the flouride in the mouth wash helps you additionally to help absorb into between all the hard to reach places.
4. Even if you use all of it step by step, tooth decay may happen because it is entirely biological and depends on your genes, some people simply just have better teeth that dont get cavities easily, some get cavities very easily. But skipping taking care of your teeth will just promote even more damage even if you have teeth that easily get cavities.
This is the best comment here

@Kevin Corapi excessive flouride, yes. But unless you literally get flouride concentrate injections every day, that wont happen from regular use of dental care products.

If you prefer to use mouthwash after brushing, then use something like Act Fluoride Mouthwash, or any Fluoride mouthwash. Then you're not washing away the Fluoride because you get it from your mouthwash!
Most mouthwashes have flouride.... So there goes the washing away argument. Also, I rinse with water and my teeth are fine. Very nice according to my dentist. So....
Fluoride is a neurotoxin. Might want to avoid putting that the area that has the most compact nerve innervation: the mouth.

It's not because you don't have a cavity that you're never going to have one. And your case isn't a generality. On top of that, some people have stronger teeth than the others. So because it's "not true for you" doesn't mean that it's not true at all.

Corsodyl, a pretty common mouthwash in the UK, says on the label that toothpaste can stop it working and to use it at a different time of day. So rinsing with it would be a bad idea, as toothpaste gone, mouthwash no work = :(
If you are looking for it on the label, peel back the main label and read the "Check before you use" section.
From now on I gotta see peoples diploma or certificates to believe what they’re saying 😂😂
Mouthwash, floss, then brush. The mouthwash gives your mouth a once over and residue stays between your teeth to aid in the effectiveness of your flossing. Brushing to complete the routine removes anything the flossing loosened up, and then brush your tongue as a final step. I believe this is the most logical and effective explanation and I will die on this hill.
Oki….I’ve now been told at least 5 different ways to “Actually” or “Properly” brush my teeth…this one does make the most sense tho…
It depends on the mouth wash you use, if your using a Fluoride one to protect from cavities, you should floss, brush, and rinse (ie mouthwash) because you’re not supposed to eating or drink anything for 30 mins. For other mouthwashes floss, rinse, and brush.
Flouride is a neurotoxin that lowers IQ and has never been scientifically proven to benefit oral health.
30 minutes before or after
@@JacobPrater after
The fact that i brush like that after people arguing me for years lol
bentist is my favourite RUclipsr fr
He just confirmed the way I’ve been brushing my teeth for years is indeed the best way! THANK YOU!!
okay so basically floss, mouthwash, then brush. i’ve been lied to my whole life bro 😭😂
I never knew that lol thank you!!!
people always look at me crazy when i say i don’t rinse with water afterwards, but my professor whose brother is a dentist taught him correctly
When you said not to rinse after, do I just spit all the left over toothpaste out then and leave any tooth paste on my teeth there?
I think so, but I’m not, I absolutely cannot let toothpaste stay in my mouth, it tastes bad and burns lol.
Every dentist always has a different opinion. Which can be so annoying. Because no one has the right way to do things.
But the way I do it is I floss first, then brush, rinse with water, and then use mouthwash, but don't rinse with water afterwards. And this seems to work fine for me. No cavities for 10+ years. Only go for annual cleaning.
@@ki11aqueen5 2 floss twice a day? Isn't it very time consuming though
@@amirul3233 never said I floss 2 times a day
@@ki11aqueen5 oh sorry my bad. So how often do you floss?
i actually did use mouth wash after brushing so thank you for this-
Yo thanks I’ll use this tip
Usually I brush thoroughly even tongue then rinse using mouthwash moving it around my whole mouth for a few seconds then rinse using water.
I often go to the dentist for deep cleaning and he’s told me I have healthy clean teeth
Well, there are mouth rinses that have fluoride as well, so if it’s like listerine or something probably yes it won’t help but if it’s ACT and has stuff in it more for tooth health I’d assume that it’ll help something. Dentists offices literally give you little bottles of this kind of mouth wash, it’s weird they’d say “mouth wash” so generally here
Mouthwash my mouth fresh
@@AbhijeetKumar-cm3jh so would ACT mouth wash.
Maybe it's just a dumb dentist student repeating something the professor said (but didn't remember it well) for internet validation
@@Quietboywasted sorry I meant, mouthwash makes my mouth fresh 😅
@@AbhijeetKumar-cm3jh yeah I got what you meant, I’m saying listerine and crest mouthwash or whatever that are just for “fresher breath”(cause I know they make ones that do similiar things to ACT) aren’t giving you any benefit, you want ones that aren’t just for bad breath. Lol
Idk what y’all are doing but my mouthwash is solely for when I’m just too lazy to brush my teeth 👀
Same. When I wake up almost late for work I just use mouthwash to remove the stanky morn breath
Gaddamit i keep learning new stuff everyday now. Thanks!
I think the issue is that you’d be having fluorine build up in your mouth with all those excesses, thus leading to tooth decay.
I just love the calm and confident way the first person said what she said when it was basically wrong
That's tiktok for you. Anyone can say anything.
Like she's providing a useful service with that contribution
I love the bentist!!!! Please pin my comment if you believe that everyone should brush their teeth twice a day! 😁
Yes
Remember being told "you need to brush, floss and rinse"
Cavities went away when i flossed or water picked then brushed.
I do floss, brush, interdental sticks to floss again, fluoride rinse. People who find it gross to not rinse after brushing should try brushing, rinsing, and then doing a light brush with a bit of toothpaste, which you don't rinse away. You get rid of the dirty toothpaste foam and get a fresh coat of toothpaste with the fluoride.
yo really? gonna change up my routine thanks man.
Yup, me too. But I’m still gonna have to rinse after because I hate having toothpaste reset in my mouth even if it is just a little.
