I grew up in linden my dad was a firefighter for 32 yrs I moved too orlando in 89

My family lived in Linden for 3 generations. We moved to a western county honestly for better schools in the late 60's. Today I suppose if you are from SI or Newark Linden is a better place. Since big factories closed town has gone downhill. Sunnyside is the only section I would even think about looking at.

Thanks for the comment @mreddieo1! Many communities experience ebb and flows over time. The recent trend in areas like Linden, Hillside, Rahway, and Plainfield have been characterized by large scale redevelopment and numerous renovation projects. Because of proximity to NYC, these areas have been very attractive to investors, first time buyers, and buyers relocating from NYC.
