When they stone you to death.
My grandparents visited Afghanistan in the 60s along with their afghan friends. They drove along the hippie trail with those wanting to smoke hashish 😅 and buddhists on their way to see the Buddha of Bamyan. They always spoked of the hospitality shown by the locals along the way. When unrest began in the 70s, my grandparents' afghan friends barely escaped. It's heart breaking that their children and grandchildren will never see their beloved homeland. The same goes with my Syrian friends. I would love to visit and see the places my grandparents visited. But as long as the Taliban is in charge, I'll just look at the photos. Visiting would mean legitimizing the Taliban regime and supporting their rule to rob the people, especially women, of their basic human rights.

Check out the other women solo travelers, some of them claimed as a women that traveled around the world they never felt safer then they did in Afghanistan (for reals try to find out why, I know why).
