In my 60's too. Been watching his parents for a few years. But moved solo to Alaska in 2016, traveled in RV from Va, by way of the Alaskan Hwy. ( Alcan) Its been a struggle, still is. But chronic pain , still arthritic joints, minus Temps, hand shoveling up to 14' of snow( last 3 winters) will not force me to leave.
One life now, every minute that passes, is gone forever. Have realized, time will pass , productive or not, painful or not. Have to work until I can't, then live with alot of pain for a few days. Yesterday, spent 5 1/2 hours shoveling the new 7" wet/ heavy snow. Not done. 8 hours, 3 days ago for last snow.
Call It my home gym! In summer, the gym is " getting ready for winter & a little gardening. Lol
