Your argument for the batwing being easier to maneuver than the fixed fairing.. is the very reason I chose the Chieftain over the Challenger. It just felt better and easier to move around to me.

I put 63k miles on my Indian Roadmaster. When I pay off my truck, I may keep my Harley and buy a chieftain. I love the color of yours.

They came along way but still are falling short of other motorcycle brands

I just got a 2024 Street Glide and it is amazing. Have had a lot of motorcycles but this bike does everything.

I own my second SG and I do love my 2024. I like the weight of the fairing mounted to the forks. But in both instances I had to replace the bars. I can’t do the beach cruisers. The 2024 RG is show floor ready to eat long miles. But I don’t like the distance of the screen/instrument cluster. I’m with you, SG’s the best.

I have never changed bars on a bike, but I may on this one. I would like them to be taller without being in the wind blast.

I am also very attracted to the looks of the Street Glide. I just wish it had the mini apes like the road glide.

I have a 2023 Street Glide. This is the 3rd Street Glide I've owned and love them. But I have to say, I believe the Road King Standard was the Best MC that HD ever made.

Better is the Road Glide ST but with crazy price...
But still....Challenger is much better in every prospective.
    Value for money.

I appreciate your bias...I think the street glide looks better but that is a personal taste matter. As far as the best motorcycle (a question you aren't exactly asking), my answer was the Indian Pursuit, for me personally (and I know many will disagree and that's OK). The thing I might add to the conversation is that each person must ask and answer this question for themselves. What is best for me may not be best for someone else. My hope is that everyone will do their own personal research, ride various bikes and make an informed decision across various brands on the market. In 2013 the answer for me was the Kawasaki Voyager ABS (out performed the Harley of the same year at a much lower cost). In 2024 my answer had changed to the Indian Pursuit (the Kawasaki stood still while Harley and Indian leap frogged ahead. The 2024 Voyager is the exact same bike as the 2009 and I would NOT recommend today with better choices). At some point, the same may be true for my current bike if Indian chooses to sleep on their "laurels." In recent years, Harley has done some serious catch up to match and perhaps exceed Indian in some ways. Bottom line, you have a great motorcycle and I celebrate your choice, even though my personal choice was different...

The 2024 Street Glide is the best motorcycle Harley-Davidson has ever made. I did not say it was better than my Indian. The Street Glide is faster 0-60, lighter, and more nimble. The Indian has a much better suspension and seat. I miss the Indian electric windshield. The remote locking luggage was a nice feature. For those reasons, I have thought about trading my Street Glide for another Indian. I like both brands. Maybe one day I will own both,

Why is Harley importing so much...seems to me the "great American motorcycle" needs to truly be a great AMERICAN motorcycle...
