Ok,so you're talking to me. 1ST,I don't live in Pa. 2ND,I don't volunteer at this company.3RD,I don't have to or want to read about Pa. state law reguarding blowing a stop sign.4TH,I'm not driving any of these rigs in this video,so it's not concerning me.So what's your point coming to me? Does it change the video I shot from over 3 years ago? Just felt that you needed to tell me? Thanks for stopping by.
I started out as a Junior FF at 14 in the township next to me, but when i turned 16 i transfered to the city as a junior till im 18. I live on the other side of PA around Pittsburgh. At my old CO i had a blue, but now i have a orange. Stay safe Frank and 52!
What was explained to me during evoc is that Fire and police Do Not need to stop, never even said anything about slowing down.... all they say is ambulances must stop at stop signs and red lights at all times. And plus that intersection is so minor theyre is almost noone ever there and when they come out of station they can see no ones coming. Just a friendly fyi
I know what you mean. I just joined my company as a Jr. and minimum age is 16 while all of the surrounding companies are 14! But damn it feels good to be a member after waiting for three years. I never had second thoughts about it either.
Good job guys and thank you for your service. Those idiots who do not know fire truck does not need to stop at stop sign when responding to the call should shut up and continue playing their video game. Also ppl complaining about timing should stop complaining you do not know the situation, seems multiple units were responding they might be leaving station as instructed by command post.
What's with the "slow response" comment? I saw the fire fighters getting there gear on and on the Engine before the Tones even went out. I do not think you listened to the audio very closely. Thanks for sharing the video.
You're directing your question to me? I'm not driving.I'm guessing none of the rigs stopped because there was no need to stop. All of the different drivers of different apparatus did the same thing,so it's more than obvious why. It's an open intersection, not a congested multi-lane highway with a stop sign.I can see and understand that, and I'm not from there, even if I were and driving a rig to this call,I would've gone through it too.
Question is there any reason most fire trucks just use red lights? Most of the fire trucks in my county use red/blue lights the lightbar is red/blue and the rest of the lights on them are just red.
They conduct studies with the color spectrum. And,crashes involving units responding. Some colors are bland during bright daylight. Some are brilliant. Depending on your departments roadways, some hilly and flat leveled surfaces ,specific brands and models out weigh the standard. Like on my fMartinjr channel, The Red Train's warnings,I did! We have a decent amount of hills in our first due and immediate mutual aid first due.
Hey I take from the video when you was young wanted to be a firefighter and you did what was necessary to be able to experience the life of a fireman that's what I would have done too if I was wanting to become one of the bravest people in the world
out chief would have are heads if we drove like that responding or not you always come to a complete stop at a stop sigh and make sure it's clear before you go
If someone gets killed then what happens when your department gets sued by the families for wrongful death of their loved one all because a fire truck ran a stop sign dose not sound worth it to me
@hooknladderfirephotography If you ever watched GoodWill2ndIn’s videos, he’s usually on board one of the rigs, and the siren can be heard as a single tone with an echo off the buildings on both sides.
That's the problem,it's not your chief! It's not your Department! The 2 persons that have the view of the intersection in this video is in each of the rigs recorded here.Let them worry about that. You worry about yours. And check your spelling brother.
tommy flynn I don't care how many intersection they're... You still don't use the Q like that man... We got a lot where we're at...and air horns do just as good
Man, that kid on the blue shirt has to work on his gear-up times. That was very slow. I dont mean to be an ass, but even though you were there before anyone else, that still doesnt mean take your time. Practice makes Perfect.
+fmartinjr Goreville Illinois (my town) trucks are yellow we have a engine and a tanker and then we have a white brush truck and two rescue units ones a I think 1980 box ambulance and its white with a green strip exactly the same as these trucks in the video and ones one we just got a few months ago it was red but we painted it yellow to match the trucks and we have a 99 crown Vic the FFs use if the trucks go out before they get to the station. I've got a few videos of them on my page if you'd like to see them.
Even if it took them 1 minute to get dressed..Did it look like they were going anywhere... ?So what are you talking about "spossed to take 1 minute"? Come on dude, really, kill that.Understand the situation before you comment, please.Them young boys did what they were suppose to do.
There's always an if.Like I said, let them worry about their actions in their local.Unless you live in this city/local and know the traffic laws/SOP's for responding emergency apparatus, unless you're a driver-trainer for this Department, save your commentary from this video. You worry about your place and let them worry about theirs.
As a professional engineer/driver., I would get yelled at for not stopping at a stop sign at 4 am yet alone blowing through one during the day. It's sad that these departments do not display professionalism, like none at all
Hay martin ,someones pulling your chain and your letting them...just laugh-off punks and don't give them satisfaction of bringing you to they're level...you are better than that bro'!
You're corny. This is how you come back at me?? Come on dude. Really homie. I'm young, but you came out of nowhere, commenting on this old-ass clip from 09' like it happened last night.Like I said before, this is their thing and that's how they did it.So what! Get you own videos up.Nobody is trying to hear you bullshit. And it does matter, because your ass commented back each time. And your don't have to worry about me driving.Worry about yourself.
Lol, your a real man, You really put me in my place, omg your such a cool guy, " Check it homie " Now thats real American English, Oh ya know what I bet your from Jersey, That tells the story, sorry about that.
Public saftey always comes first, I have never seen any emergency respounce not slow down at the very least at any intersection where there is a Light or a STOP sign. The two rigs leaving the station I can understand, they are wright on top of the intersection, my concern is the other two rigs that did'nt even slwo at all, you never know whats going to happen at an intersection and State Law says you must slow down and public saftey comes first.
It is English, you punk-bitch! Black American English! Your shit is just mis-spelled all over the place,dumb-ass! You're a corn flake. Dumb-ass Forrest Gump.
You were doing alright until this last reply homie. So now it's my turn! YOU, need to re-write your responses. And in english!!! Especially before talking with a smart-ass tongue to me.Check it homie,I don't need to re-read shit! Why don't you write in American English on here! And you guess that I'm young!!? Mafuker, please. Check your spelling, and mind your business, because you seem like one them yellow teeth mafuckers. You must be drunk talking that ying yang over here.
Every emergency vehicle must slow down or come to a complete stop and then proceed when it is safe to do so. No emergency driver has the right to blow stop signs or stop lights. Google it!
No disrespect, but obvious not here in this video or anywhere I've seen along the East coast since I've been alive from 1972. Wherever you live, hey,so be it. You can watch 10 videos on here and more will proceed than won't through a stop sign.
If you look closely there is a man flagging the intersection and stopping traffic so they can go through the stop sign. He is probably fire-police or a volunteer. Had he not been there I’m sure they would have stopped
Wow, You may need to reread some of your responces and i would guess your young and know it all wright. My coments where a responce to your total lack of respect for public safty as a whole. It matters not where you live or what department you may volunteer at, You know what i does'nt matter, with your kind of thinking I hope you never end up behind the wheel of a rig.
Yo, you see the brand new 52-1 unit yet, Frank? If not, she’s an absolute stunner of a truck! An absolutely gorgeous apparatus.
Ok,so you're talking to me. 1ST,I don't live in Pa. 2ND,I don't volunteer at this company.3RD,I don't have to or want to read about Pa. state law reguarding blowing a stop sign.4TH,I'm not driving any of these rigs in this video,so it's not concerning me.So what's your point coming to me? that was a sweet response by your rigs. love the first rig pulling out. nothing but Q, and diesel, lol.
According to the response, both Engines 52-1 and 52-2 were First and Second Due respectively, with Engine 52-2 being First Due out of Station 52.
I know what you mean. I just joined my company as a Jr. and minimum age is 16 while all of the surrounding companies are 14! But damn it feels good to be a member after waiting for three years. I never had second thoughts about it either.

I like when they anticipate a fire get ready and out they go to something they might not come back from
#DaveSmiley when he was 14 years old.
Looks like the following fire trucks are engine 52-1, ladder 53, engine 52-2, & rescue 53-1
Rescue? You mean Engine.
Oh man great video props to the guys in that first truck thats how a Q is supposed to be used.
whats up with the orange helmet
You're directing your question to me? As always awesome video
we don't stop for stop signs?
HEY FMARTINJR IS GOOD WILL OF WEST CHESTER PA A COUNTY OR A TOWN???
A fire company in a town
I gotta give Ladder 53 props. Those fellas know how to use a federal.
Question is there any reason most fire trucks just use red lights? Most of the fire trucks in my county use red/blue lights the lightbar is red/blue and the rest of the lights on them are just red.
Sure there is. Light output, positioning and coloring is regulated by municipalities, townships, counties and or states.
+fmartinjr so how is having full red or red Amber better then red/blue or red, blue and Amber?
They conduct studies with the color spectrum. And,crashes involving units responding. Some colors are bland during bright daylight. Some are brilliant. Depending on your departments roadways, some hilly and flat leveled surfaces ,specific brands and models out weigh the standard. Like on my fMartinjr channel, The Red Train's warnings,I did! Who are you directing your comment to?
What the hell are you talking about? They had no where to go without a minimum qualified crew,or even a driver.
Whom are you referring your comment to?
Who is we?
Hey I take from the video when you was young wanted to be a firefighter and you did what was necessary to be able to experience the life of a fireman that's what I would have done too if I was wanting to become one of the bravest people in the world
Dennis Throckmorton Something like that.
maybe he was a young junior? i know a few volunteer company's that have juniors that are 16 who go on calls.
What kind of siren was the first engine using besides the q?
Code 3 vcon sounds like
out chief would have are heads if we drove like that responding or not you always come to a complete stop at a stop sigh and make sure it's clear before you go
If someone gets killed then what happens when your department gets sued by the families for wrongful death of their loved one all because a fire truck ran a stop sign dose not sound worth it to me
Thank you eng3.
See,y'all are lucky.Back in 1986 when I was 14 ,I couldn't join until I turned 16.
is that a dual tone electronic siren i hear with the q?
Probably not. Probably just an echo off the buildings Engine 52-2 was passing.;
@@EmergencyGuy i thought it was either a dual or echo but thats one badass echo lol
@hooknladderfirephotography If you ever watched GoodWill2ndIn’s videos, he’s usually on board one of the rigs, and the siren can be heard as a single tone with an echo off the buildings on both sides.
whats with the slow response?! and its only spossed to take 1 minute to get your full turnouts on
Well good job then! The people round here dontknow how to use the Qs if theres one on the truck.
Nice catch, Frank.
Those have to be the cleanest fire engines I've ever seen excluding ones just cleaned.
Now thats such a mature responce, Agian you really put me in my place.
No Siren there
awesome video
That's the problem,it's not your chief! It's not your Department! The 2 persons that have the view of the intersection in this video is in each of the rigs recorded here.Let them worry about that. You worry about yours. And check your spelling brother.
why don't you stop at stop signs. none of the trucks stopped for that stop sign. yeah your an emergency vehicle but you still have to at least stop.
Maybe i should post some vids of me responding to calls.
+Colyn “Farmboy090” Gerstenberg but probably with its own account
yall are taking long
Yes,you are right. I'm trying to NOT feed into these kids on here.
You know i watch your channel and im 10 lol cant hide from me
God they ruin the freaking Q when u dont let off of it at all...
tommy flynn I don't care how many intersection they're... You still don't use the Q like that man... We got a lot where we're at...and air horns do just as good
Man, that kid on the blue shirt has to work on his gear-up times. That was very slow. I dont mean to be an ass, but even though you were there before anyone else, that still doesnt mean take your time. Practice makes Perfect.
nice, 5/5 and favorited
I love white and yellow fire trucks their wayyy better then the red ones. I even shared this on my FD page very well done :)
I personally love all dark red apparatus but as long as the fleet is uniformal ,I appreciate any individuality.
4 way stop intersections are stupid anyway :P
You can't call anyone dumb unless you know proper grammar, Sir.
Lol, your a real man, You really put me in my place, omg your such a cool guy, " Check it homie " Now thats real American English, Oh ya know what I bet your from Jersey, That tells the story, sorry about that.
You may want to read what the PA state Law say's about just blowing through any Stop sign before your coments.

Oh wait, Its Delaware, My bad , same thing though.
Nobody stops for Stop Signs anymore?
All drivers must obey the traffic laws, even firefighters!
Nah, you're wrong there homeboy. Get some facts together before you come here to comment
Every emergency vehicle must slow down or come to a complete stop and then proceed when it is safe to do so.
