What is the requirements for Fordham?
Hi Bella! I watched all your Fordham videos and they are beyond inspiring since I really want to be a part of this community! I applied as Early Action this year! However, I just got deferred and they are requiring my mid-year grade. I am a current Full IB student and I do many extracurriculars. Is there any advice for me to be further considered??? I sincerely love the school and I believe this is the perfect school for me!!
I would say to just do your best to keep your grades as high as literally possible and whatever requirements they may ask for make sure they are on time and above and beyond
Yes you do have to take religious classes and philosophical classes even if you aren’t religious
Hi I was accepted to the gabelli school of business Lincoln Center for class of 2024. I really want to change my concentration to marketing instead of digital technology and media.

Your video was very informative. My roommates were very random. We had roommates preference surveys as well to help “match us” to roommates but I don’t feel like they really took that into account, like at all 😂

would you say fordham is worth the money?? i’m interested in attending gabelli lincoln center for global marketing but i’m not sure if it’s the best option out there ... i’m a bit more reluctant now that i know you can’t choose your classes or professors. thank you for this video btw it’s so helpful !!
Not being able to choose your professors and classes isn’t really that deep and it’s only a freshman and sophomore year thing so I wouldn’t let that deter you. I’m also a marketing major so I mean I would say it’s worth it and I’m willing to take on that financial responsibility. Any college in New York is going to be super expensive especially considering its a private school and I’m from out of state.
Bella King ahh i see thank you. i have one more question sorry ahskajskwjsk but since you mentioned you were a marketing major i was wondering whether or not fordham takes the more “creative” approach towards marketing ? i watched other videos where people say their school is more mathematical and analytical when it comes to marketing and not creative at ALL. so i guess i’m just curious as to whether or not fordham fulfills both the creative and strategic side of marketing
fordham is looking like the perfect school for me but my act and grades are a bit below average. i don't believe they're requiring either this year, and i have lots of extra curriculars including 14 years of classical piano lessons and performances and an independent study course where i created a mock organization for my community. should i be worried about whether i'll get in or not?
Honestly I’m not sure because this year they aren’t doing test scores but if you can apply as early as possible so you are competing against less people

I had a 4.0 and a superscore 1360 on the SAT but that is waaaaaayyyyy above standards for Fordham

and the average gpa pleaseee! im working with a 3.5ish right now as a high school junior and stony brook, fordham and wagner are my top choices even tho my gpa is not where i want it to be lol
Was it hard for you to go to school so far away from home? I live in Miami and I’m worried about being away from home?
That all depends on you. For me the transition was easy and I was never homesick because I didn’t like where I lived. Odds are you will be homesick but if you really love New York then you will be fine. In terms of living on your own, New York is a huge jump because it’s more intense than a regular college especially if you are going to Lincoln center but at the end of the day, you’ll get through it and it will be fun
Whats the community like? regarding the social interconnectivity and diversity throughout campus.
For Lincoln center the community is pretty loose. We don’t have any school spirit and it’s a very independent experience. Very much a city school vibe which I like a lot. They are also trying to bump up the diversity but it’s is a catholic private school on the upper west side if that gives you any hints to the majority of students if you know what I mean
Is it possible to lower the tuition price of Fordham to $10k by aid?
I’m transferring to Fordham this fall. I’ll be a commuter. I’m super nervous!
You don't need to be nervous! Fordham is a super welcoming place and really makes sure their transfer students are intergrated into the school
Hi! Loved the video. I was wondering... you said you went to his school in Georgia. Was that a public or private high school? And if public, was it a school that was known for being a good public school or was it average? If that makes any sense lol.
It was a public school and it was pretty average in terms of rankings for academic I would say top 50%. In my case though I just had a good gpa and good enough sat

In McKeon is it possible to have a loft bed or a bunk bed? Can you fit like your desk or a futon under your bed?
You can have a bunk bed but you would have another bed underneath

It depends but most people at Lincoln center try to move out
The underground tunnels sound really cool and convenient, but I'm just wondering (since I'm paranoid lol) do you ever feel creeped out while walking down there? Is it usually empty or are there lots of students around?
It's never creepy. "Tunnels" makes it sound scary but they are super well lit and they are essentially just hallways. And during the day, pre-covid, they were filled in between classes

yeah I actually have a lot of commuter friends but you have to like find them in classes or seek them out

I would suggest trying to get some more extracurriculars. Do something that you are really passionate about and that's fun for you. Preferably something in leadership. Of course getting you grades up would help too.

Fordham Lincoln center definitely does but it’s not the traditional college experience
What time did your first class start on most days? Asking since you couldn't pick your class times.
Everyone is different and everyday can be different like my first semester I had some 8:30s as the start of my day and other times my day didn’t start until 2

I’m a global business major with a concentration in marketing at Lincoln center everyone is a global business major so we just shorten it by saying our concentration.
Like ik I'm not near college but lately I have been going and researching college for law and med and I always loved NYC but idk how I would get my things from Washington to NYC
I flew with my clothing and all of my stuff. Vacuum bags are your friend and you should be able to fit everything in two checked bags and a carryone

How lgbtq+ friendly is Fordham? Specifically Lincoln Center campus
It is super LGBTQ+ friendly. Fordham is a an extremely liberal school even though it is religious so if you are a part of that community you have nothing to worry about
This is a weird question but I'm going to be a commuter and am super nervous. If I bring my own lunch, where would I be allowed to eat it? Will I still be able to make friends?
Yes you’ll be able to eat it wherever you want. Inside out side anywhere haha. And yeah you’ll be able to make friends! Half of my friends right now are commuters. Just make sure to put yourself out there during orientation and you’ll be fine

why did you pick Lincoln center instead of rose hill? Are there the same amount of people at both schools? Do people ever regret going to one of the schools?
Rose hill is more traditional so I didn’t want to go to a school with that vibe. Some people switch but that process is easy

Do students from Lincoln Centre get to go to Rose Hill and enjoy that experience such as other clubs, games, and getting involved with sports?
I personally didn’t go to rose hill ever last semester. The only reason a lot of kids from Lincoln center go to rose hill is because of the bars.
