- hi guys! so i'm back with another fordham university lincoln center video. this time i go more in depth about fordham and basically tell you everything you need to know. i tell you what its like at an nyc college and i give you some nyc college advice.

If I want to major as criminal justice or something law like is the Lincoln center the best place to dorm or Rose Hill is where most go?

When I was going through the college application process, I just couldn't understand why people were willingly applying to the LC campus when Rose Hill had literally everything you'd want in a traditional college experience, especially for a small-ish private school. LC just felt office-like to me vs a college. Different strokes for different folks is real I guess lol. Glad you're having a great experience there 🙂

If you try Lincoln center your first year and you don’t like it, can you change campuses?
Yeah! You can transfer to another campus if you want

How would you rate the diversity at Fordham LC compared to rose hill?
Depends on the type of diversity. If you are talking about racial then I would say that the majority of LC is white and Asian but we have a slightly larger minority popular and pretty much same with RH but more white at rose hill. Religiousand sexual orientation wise I would again say LC is more diverse based on vibe and general population

What was your first choice for college?
i just barely started realizing that i really want to go to fordham, but my gpa is so low. i had some things going on at home, so I didn't have the ability to prioritize school. as a junior, last quarter of the school year, I feel like I've ruined my chances of going to fordham 😭does anyone have any tips that could help me increase my chances of getting accepted next year? my gpa is low but my sat score is a 1550 and I'm planning on taking the act and getting a really high score. I'm also thinking of starting a non profit, or a business.
I’m wondering if when you apply to Fordham (LC campus), is it harder to be accepted since the LC campus is much smaller? Like do I have less of a chance of getting into Fordham is I apply to LC? Thanks:))
The LC campus does have a slightly lower acceptance rate and gabelli has a lower acceptance rate in comparison to the college

Wait until classes start and then figure it out. I’ve haven’t bought books for like two semesters. Get the electronic version which will save you a ton of money or look for a free pdf

Hi, great video but I was wondering if you’re an athlete can you still live at Lincoln Center? and where are practices held? If you know it would be extremely helpful to me seeing as Fordham is a Division 1 school and you can get sports scholarships.
Yes you can live at LC if you are a student athlete but all practices and whatnot are at rose hill
You can still live at LC if you are an athlete. I think you just sign up for your sport and whatnot and make sure you get there on time
Do you get to choose what time you want your classes that will fit into the Schools schedules, for example will I always have an 8:30 am class? Also this helped me so much, look forward to apply to the school,especially LC!!
Depends on If you are in gabelli or Lincoln center if you are in gabelli for your freshman year you do not get to choose if you are in regular Lincoln center then you do get to choose. And no you might not have a 8:30 and you most likely won’t have one everyday no matter which school you’re in
I just got in today and I’m seriously considering it! But between the small lc student population and the class schedule I’m not really sure abt the high school vibes 😬 I think it would be fine but I’m not sure it’s how I’d thrive

I’m Afro Latina and I’m afraid bc there’s not much diversity and it’s so hard making close friends with white girls
Take a walk off the Rose Hill campus, it’s a war zone but at least you have don’t worry about “white girls”
Also another question thoughts on double majoring??
I think it can be a lot of work and a lot of people do it to look more impressive which in my opinion isn’t really worth it. If you genuinely have two interest then I guesssssss but I’m not a fan of the idea

Is it at all affordable? I live in TN, and my family runs a ministry for drug addicts and we make about $60k per year - I have a 4.26 gpa, with 14 honors classes and 2 APs, and I went to an arts school - is it affordable?

I have similar stats to you and they offered me about about $40,000 in scholarships and grants, but i will still have to pay around $41,000…so not affordable 💀

which campus do you think is better? i know LC is in midtown manhattan and rose hill is in the bronx. which campus is safer and which campus is overall better for the college experience? im trying to get into gabelli, but i can’t decide between RH and LC. also thank u for this video it helped me a lot!!
Lincoln Center is definitely safer but I preferred Rosehill personally. But if you want a city feel go to Lincoln Center.

I don’t but I know that there is a transfer orientation and that’s a great ok e to meet people!
hi!! I transferred my sophmore year to Fordham lc and it's not too hard! just have to start conversations with people in classes and around the campus! classes are where I made my best friends that I'm still friends with now! (I graduated 2016!)

Yes Fordham is right next to Lincoln center
there are two campuses! Fordham Rose Hill in the bronx and Fordham Lincoln center in Manhattan!

Left out the part about Chinese growing influence at Fordham (just how pervasive it's become). China's been using so-called "partnership" collaborations
to dictate policy on an increasing number of colleges around the world. Began with Australian colleges, but it's now become a real problem here in the US.
You need only read about Fordham's recent response to student body discord to gain some insight. Fordham was one of the first US colleges to sell-out
to foreign interests, but it was only a spring-board. China's since gone on to pursue lots of our other institutions.

@@user-nh5qd3nc5c Hello! I’m majoring in computer science ! I LOVE the dorms and the view at LC. I’m very much a city girl and I love the atmosphere of the independence in the big city.. I don’t know if that makes sense but also I want to get involved in the modeling/fashion world and I didn’t want to take a train every other day to get closer into the city. I didn’t know the difference between the two but the majors around LC are my type of people ( dance, visual arts , theatre, film ).
do you have any information about transfer students at lc? for example, how does the roommate situation work? is it random? making friends?
I’m not the most knowledgeable about transfers. But about making friends, there is a transfer orientation so that you can meet people and start to get involved at the school and the people there. You’re definitely going to have to try a bit harder to make friends since it won’t just be at a normal orientation freshman year but everyone is still always trying to make friends so you need to just put yourself out there!

I don’t really think classes matter too much because I went in with finance and then changed it. Just get good grades on whatever classes you take. Also I’m not minoring because I’m trynna finish school early but it’s pretty easy to minor you just do a few classes at the end pretty much
