    Glad to see RW back on these!! I’m not parting with my 2018 Player Strat though. Pau Ferro while not my fav I still appreciate it.
    A few years back I put CS 69 pickups in mine.
    I worked my butt off to get em ❤
    Lovely regardless if you don’t yet have a Player Strat and don’t want a Vintera ll or Performer to enter the U.S. Fender price points.

    It sadness me the fact that the majority of all colors a purely for right handed musicians us left handed musicians only get 3 colors and the most medicore ones at the best sunburst white and a blue that's all lefty can get for colors when u look at all the right-handed colors it's not even slightly okay the only way to get the a mocha is to buy a higher end models aswell as the cherry burst being exclusive to mod shop made but right handed players get them at the player price

    • @jukejukewacko2100
      @jukejukewacko2100 2 месяца назад

      The production control isn't really a argument they are multi billion dollar company they could afford to make more variety for lefties jimi hendrix flipped it upside down but most players find that majorly uncomfortable to play its a lack of caring for left handed players

      PP has noiseless pickups vs. traditional on P2 which do you prefer. Also the PP has a slightly thinner but smooth playing neck with a slightly wider nut, which means the strings will be spread apart from each other ever so slightly more than the P2. PP has the 12 inch radius neck for better bending and speed or the 9.5 C on the P2 for easier chording. If you choose a maple neck, the PP and P2 are both satin but on the fretboard itself, the PP is Satin and the P2 is sticky gloss. Is a belly cut important only the PP has that. Those are the main differences.

      @user-vj7yb4ir4l I thought the same about the original player, but then I tried a Player Plus and it was a big difference in feel and comfort, and the money was warranted. Now, the new Player ii vs Player Plus, I can only point out the differences until my new Player ii comes this week then I can compare side by side.

    How are they gonna justify the price difference to the Am Pro II now when then Player II now has rounded fretboard edges, as well as their "cold rolled" steel block? I know labor is more expensive in the US, but come on, those were their unique selling points, plus the sculpted neck heel, which is the only real differentiator now..

    • @hoythendrix

    Feels like a big middle finger from Fender to those of us who payed extra for these features on the US or Vintera Il lines. As an owner of both, l'm not too thrilled at Fender for offering the same features after the fact for a fraction of the price.

    • @CW0123
      @CW0123 2 месяца назад

      Fender and Gibson both ultimately will F over their customers until they order from the Custom Shop, then it’s 🫡
      But it is interesting how both companies are coming to the same end goal just differently. Fender is bringing up the features and QC of their Mexican guitars and Gibson is lowering the QC of their US production line.

    I like it from a technical standpoint, but the colours make them look like cheap toys. I get it, the silversky was eating their lunch and that's what they're trying to look like. They're ghastly.

    • @MelodyCarroll-rx8tk
      @MelodyCarroll-rx8tk 2 месяца назад

      I completely agree with you about the color options. They really do make the guitars look like cheap, children's toys. I could support the introduction of new colors but not a complete overhaul. Fender is trying to recreate the wheel here. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

    Sadly your link doesn’t work, but 759.00 pounds for a Mexican made strat, no stainless steel frets, a plastic nut, no locking tuners seems well over priced. I sold my old player strat wasn’t impressed can’t see much improvement. Or maybe I missed something

    • @derekjohnson5720
      @derekjohnson5720 2 месяца назад +6

      Totally agree with you. I've not bought a Fender since 2020. £700+ for a mexican Fender is ridiculous when you can buy second hand made in Japans for £700 or second hand American standards or pro ones for £800-£900. The best strats to come out of Mexico are the old roadhouse deluxe. Better off buying a Sire or Chapman and picking your favourite pups.

      I have an American pro II and custom shop strat. You really need to try the player strat before you buy. The one I have sounds as good if not better for certain tones compared to my custom shop strat. The player series pickups are like the 2012 American standard pickups. They are unbelivable

    Getting kind of burned out on the Strat, why won't fender try to innovate on the player series? make a better neck joint perhaps? alter the body a little bit, make it more ergonomic/lighter keep the "vintage" and "classic" "features" for the USA made instruments.

    Why still use cheap plastic nuts, often poorly cut. Check out the new Levinson gen 2 sceptre arlington and ventana. These come with a bone nut, roasted maple necks and stainless steel frets. The pickups are designed by Gary Levinson, the hardware is Wilkinson, all for £349. The Fender name always comes at a price.
