This is the most informative video on Slider movements. Motorized or otherwise. Now you have me wanting an edelkrone. My bank account thanks you Gerald.
This is how you do a sponsored video; It's clearly showcasing Edelkrone's products, but is also really informative if you're not interested in the actual products. Props to you!
The trouble with these sorts of videos is that it makes me want to go out and buy new gear I didn't know I need (well want) until I saw the video. Very informative. Keep on trucking
Appreciate the effort to make the tips relevant for those of us that don't have the Edelkrone gear, I haven't quite been able to pull the trigger on it, but I love how it all integrates.
I ❤️ Edelkrone! Saving for some of their gear!! Edelkrone is the Best of the Best in its field and worth every cent! Thx for showing us these important Moves 🍻
Wow, who knew someone could do a sponsored video that was actually informative and still provided value-added skills without just hyping a brand the whole time. It's super nice in that the video accentuates what motion hardware like the Edelkrone can do without implying that it's impossible otherwise.
Awesome video Gerald! I was already on the fence about getting some edelkrone products but I think you made me want to. Thanks again for great content!
Thanks for the video. I often end up using my gimbal for things like dolly in and trucking shots, so good to see how they are supposed to be done with the right equipment.
GREAT feature outline of the Edelkrone system.... I've been lusting over some motion control for a long time now.. I've been using my GVM slider with my Zhiyun Crane attached as a hack. But it's definitely not as refined as this. Beautiful setup.
This was very informative, thank you Gerald! I remember my first slider, which was not a slider, actually. It was a rug that I used to slide my camera on a table. With that rug, I ended up with some best shots I've ever made. Then my girlfriend had a knee surgery and her hospital lent us a motorised knee training device, Kinetec - I think, so I went ahead and used that as my slider for a couple of months. It is very important to use motion with taste - and if you have a clear vision + ok taste, some of the most epic moves are achievable even with a rug. One main problem with motion control systems is noise. Unfortunately most of them are very loud and make it impossible to work with classical music live recordings, which I did a lot. But your video has re-motivated me to either find and buy one or to build it myself. Thanks! 🙏🏼
I started my day watching this video and loved it. First I want to congratulate you on how organized and detailed your presentation was. You explained everything in a very articulate way, very easy to understand. I love Edelkrone products and keep trying to get my department to purchase them. Edelkrone products are, in my opinion, extremely well designed and manufactured. They all have excellent build quality. My congratulations on an excellent video.
I just discovered your channel today through a video with MAKE. ART. NOW. You give some great tips and your videos are very well done. I've been interested in edelkrone for a few years, and my employer recently purchased one of these slider packages. I can't wait to use it.
Thx for the informative video. I assume that many of these camera movements can be simulated in post. Shortcuts for A.D.D. people: 0:45 pan 2:21 tilt 3:34 slide 4:11 truck 5:55 dolly 8:00 roll 9:19 pedestal aka boom ---- 10:29 racking focus 10:52 zoom 11:05 dolly zoom
Great video as always. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the HeadONE get used as an app-controlled lazy susan before. Ever. Let alone that it has its own kit specifically for that purpose. What a world we live in.
I really enjoy how simple you keep your set while demonstrating, allowing the viewer to see how the movements appear with the same objects. That Edelkrone stuff is awesome. I would completely nerd out shooting everything with it.
Edelkrone... I noticed their sliders a few years ago and I fell in love with those unique tools. But owning one of these devices will stay a dream for quite some time... But it's always sexy to see those things in action ^^
You are an exceptional presenter ...concise, effecient with your time and the viewers and it appears leaving no stone unturned...thank you once again Gerald....Cheers from British Columbia
Nice overview of moves. I like the clarification on the TRUCK. I believe that is it probable that this term derived from the the 'olden days' of cinematography when an actual truck, or a 'hand truck' was used to move the camera operator and camera along a rail to obtain this move? This is a simple idea, but help us remember what this term really means. As always ... love your videos. Helpful, concise as teaching should be ... with that little touch of cynical humor. Great job! For those who complain about Edelkrone's pricing, I sympathize. Yup, their gear is pricey - typical for serious video hardware - however you are paying for great R&D and products that work as they should, no compromises. Shooters should consider that, and Edelkrone might consider a drop in their retail. However, can't argue with the quality and well thought out gear. When you buy into their equipment line you are supporting this work ... and it is smart design! CIAO (Dorian)
Love the edelkrone stuff. Especially that you can buy the individual modules and that it's so compact, it fits easy in your backpack. It doesnt come cheap, but absolutely worth the money. It's on my wishlist for a long time.
This is one of the most informative videos I’ve seen in a while. I’ve been researching sliders for a few months now and the Edelkrone system tick most of the boxes on my wish list. Thanks Gerald!
The 60s Batman transition really hit my early childhood. Gerald, the more I watch your channel, the more you've become the definitive camera learning source for me. I'm certainly a rookie when it comes to camera work, but you break it down so well that it's easy to learn and gets me interested in trying things. Keep up the awesome work you do!
The timing of this video was extremely fortuitous! I am going to be taping with the edelkrone slider plus tomorrow and I could not figure out how to keep the camera moving between positions continually. I know that is only one small nugget of the video, but hey, does show attention to detail! Haha. Anyway, great vid! Love the slider so far. Will be getting more edelkrone products soon. The workmanship and quality are quite impressive.
This is one of my favorite new systems. Definitely trying to budget into the my 2020 gear budget. So many time in the last year this would have solved many a creative issue.
Great video! Edelkrone definitely has a lot of cool gear. I don’t own any, but would love to get one their compact sliders. Packing efficiency is a top priority for me and I find that I usually leave my slider at home.
This is one of the best youtube videos I have seen in the last couple of months. I really like the way you present a lot of information in a relatively short time without rushing it. I learned a lot, thanks for that
That Edelkrone rig is amazing! Awesome tips as always. You have been so inspiring for us lately and we love all your content. We are trying to take our video production to the next level and your youtube channel has been an important piece of the puzzle! Thank you, keep creating, and start the next one with "I love it when you call me big papa".
Yhea, very pricy stuff, but the results are amazing. Super smooth and attracting. Nice work Gerald with showing different use cases in combination with basic camera movements!! Keep up doing nice stuff!
I got the edelkrone slider pro as well. It works really well. I highly recommend to buy the Sony NP bracket. Unfortunately Canon batteries dont last long with the motion module. On another note.. Id love to use the head one along w my slider pro!!👏🏾👏🏾
I just shot some b-roll using the GH5/Weebill Lab and it's not nearly as smooth as what the Edelkrone would have produced. As always, your videos are the best. Just straight in-depth knowledge for us nerds.
Great video Gerald. I am an Edlekrone user as well. I rely on it because I am a single man crew filming myself or scenes. The SliderOnePro V2 would do vertical shots with the Sony A7iii and Lens no problem as it has a 10lb capacity. It would just add another layer of motion to a rig that is self propelled like the SliderPlus, HeadPlus combo on a tripod.
Love the creative use of these tools. (Outside the box thinking). Using the focus control to control the zoom for the dolly zoom effect was awesome, and of course always better than doing it digitally later. Very cool video Gerald
Love Edelkrone! Great Undone video! And I learned a new word! Pedantic: excessively concerned with formalism, accuracy, and precision. Ha! Thanks Gerald! -Will
Trucks, Tracks, and Tricks - great video, man! I've got the HeadOne and the SliderPro v2. What was really nice was that Edelkrone updated both of them for me FOR FREE. I had the older models, and they just shipped me new hardware. Thanks, Edelkrone!
Gerald Undone Yeah, it was definitely a nice surprise. I got an email one day saying that I was eligible to send in my old stuff and they’d send out newer models. And the improved motors in these are much smoother than the old ones. How do you like the full kit? Seems like it’d be great for interviews.
Basically this is a 14 minute flex of that slider unit and honestly, I don't blame you. That's some serious tech.
This is the most informative video on Slider movements. Motorized or otherwise. Now you have me wanting an edelkrone. My bank account thanks you Gerald.
😂🙏💜
I've never seen such a cinematic Rubik's cube. Motorized sliders are such a fantastic tool for single shooters. Great video!
😜👍
This is how you do a sponsored video; It's clearly showcasing Edelkrone's products, but is also really informative if you're not interested in the actual products. Props to you!
Thanks for saying so. I tried hard to accomplish that so this comment means a lot.
That Rubix Cube dolly zoom was beauty
I liked it quite a bit too.
have tried it but it never looks as good handheld it must be to do with the sincing of zoom and fdlly together
Quite a little device. Love it when tech is compact without sacrificing too many features.
The trouble with these sorts of videos is that it makes me want to go out and buy new gear I didn't know I need (well want) until I saw the video. Very informative. Keep on trucking
That was another great video. Edelkrone makes really great stuff! Good complete descriptions here. Should be required watching for people.
Thanks, Clayton!
I've been drooling over the Edelkrone line for quite some time. Also, keep up the great content, pal. As the kids say, You're killing it!
Cheers, Norm! Thanks.
Appreciate the effort to make the tips relevant for those of us that don't have the Edelkrone gear, I haven't quite been able to pull the trigger on it, but I love how it all integrates.
Thanks, Sean! Appreciate that.
Truly one of the best tech educational content on youtube! Really appreciate your work!
Thanks so much! That's very kind.
I ❤️ Edelkrone! Saving for some of their gear!! Edelkrone is the Best of the Best in its field and worth every cent! Thx for showing us these important Moves 🍻
That dolly zoom is freaking awesome! Would love to play around with this.
Wow, who knew someone could do a sponsored video that was actually informative and still provided value-added skills without just hyping a brand the whole time. It's super nice in that the video accentuates what motion hardware like the Edelkrone can do without implying that it's impossible otherwise.
Thanks for saying that, Joshua! That's exactly what I was hoping for. Appreciate this.
It’s important to never make eye contact with anyone while eating a banana in public.
Great video!
Awesome video Gerald! I was already on the fence about getting some edelkrone products but I think you made me want to. Thanks again for great content!
Can’t wait to use the slider as an overkill way to bring snacks closer to me! Oh and to get awesome shots...
Another great video Gerald🙌🏻
Definitely something I could see myself using as I increase my video production skills!
Edelkrone movement at it’s finest!!
Get undone⚡️🙏🏼🎥
Too many cool products :) gotta say they do a lot of stuff making one man filming possible :) Great video as always!
I’m currently saving up for the ONE to use on my first solo film 👍🏼🙂. Great job Gerald
Thanks for the video. I often end up using my gimbal for things like dolly in and trucking shots, so good to see how they are supposed to be done with the right equipment.
Great presentation and demonstration on the "Moves". And, very nice gear for the movements.
Thank you!
GREAT feature outline of the Edelkrone system.... I've been lusting over some motion control for a long time now.. I've been using my GVM slider with my Zhiyun Crane attached as a hack. But it's definitely not as refined as this. Beautiful setup.
Your videos are always straight to the point. Love it👍 Keep it up😉 Btw. those Edelkrone products are awesome. Would love to use them.
Those are some great movements! Thanks for showing what that gear can do. Will check out Edelkrone!
Great edelkrone product video.
I need to try them out!
This was very informative, thank you Gerald! I remember my first slider, which was not a slider, actually. It was a rug that I used to slide my camera on a table. With that rug, I ended up with some best shots I've ever made.

Thanks! 🙏🏼
I loved it! as usual, I learned something new, and that Edelkrone stuff looks dope! loved it!. Keep up the great work.
A slider is definitely the next piece of gear on my list to help continue building my freelance business. Love the video man!
God damn I'd love to win a golden ticket to the Edelkrone Robots From the Future Factory
I started my day watching this video and loved it. First I want to congratulate you on how organized and detailed your presentation was. Thanks a lot, Maria! That means a lot. Really appreciate this comment. Cheers!
Gerald: now we’re gonna use the edelkrone ...
Me: Looks at my wallet
😂👍
Me: looks at your wallet. You have a wallet. I sold my wallet already.
I just discovered your channel today through a video with MAKE. ART. NOW. You give some great tips and your videos are very well done. I've been interested in edelkrone for a few years, and my employer recently purchased one of these slider packages. I can't wait to use it.
Awesome! Glad you found the channel. Cheers!
Man I’m so sad these are so expensive :(
These would be amazing for Milky Way timelapses
I love how versatile and buildable edelkrone’s stuff is! Wish it wasn’t so expensive!!
Dope tips as always my guy. Yea Edelkrone is nice but expensive
Thx for the informative video. I assume that many of these camera movements can be simulated in post.
Shortcuts for A.D.D. people:
0:45 pan
2:21 tilt
3:34 slide
4:11 truck
5:55 dolly
8:00 roll
9:19 pedestal aka boom

10:29 racking focus
10:52 zoom
11:05 dolly zoom
Next intro. Don't fake the funk on the nasty dunk.
Hahaha. 😂💜👌
Gerald you are an absolute treasure to the RUclips film making community! Thank you!
Thanks so much, Jeff!
Start video with: "I'm Gerald Undone and I do the cha cha like a sissy girl"
Great video as always. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the HeadONE get used as an app-controlled lazy susan before. Ever.
Let alone that it has its own kit specifically for that purpose. What a world we live in.
I know, right?! 😃👌

Awesome for taking timelapses to the next level! 😀

Good to see one of the best camera gear reviewers putting the Edelkrone system through the paces. Always been intrigued by their products.
MTF charts, Moco, bitrates, Nikon Z6... who needs film school... glad to see the channel growing. Looking forward to more videos.

Great demonstration, Gerald! Thanks, much. I've been looking at the SliderONE over on B&H. Would love to get in with a chance on that HeadONE.
The app interface seems so easy and smart!!!
Love the edelkrone stuff. Especially that you can buy the individual modules and that it's so compact, it fits easy in your backpack. It doesnt come cheap, but absolutely worth the money. It's on my wishlist for a long time.

Thanks, Bentley! That means a lot. Really appreciate that. And glad I could bring you some nostalgia.
This is just awesome, love how the modular ecosystem works so well
Would love that Edelkrone thingy 😎👍
Funny, I was using a rhino today and the contrôler was so complicated that I decided to get the edelkrone instead. I’d love to get that headone!
Great job not only explaining what each motion is good for , but also showing how you can execute them with these products!
My grandmother just died today and the only thing that is gonna make me happy is owning a HeadONE. Love your videos Gerald.
The timing of this video was extremely fortuitous! Awesome! Glad I could help. 😃
These are the type of shots I've always struggled with. Great video!

Been eyeing on Edelkrone’s product to improve my camera movement. This is a really informative and good tutorial.
I need this in my life. Great vid, as per.
Thumbs up for pedantry, robots and trucks. Your videos are the exact right amount of nerd and it's great. I've always wanted edelkrone gear.

It's always nice to see a new GU upload. Great explanation of "panning" and other terms that so many filmmakers use incorrectly.
Glad to hear that! Thanks so much.
Those edelkrone future robots looks amazing and extremely useful
The way you explain things is so clear and thorough I feel like a pro before even getting my hands dirty. I’m getting things done with Undone!
😃🙏
You should also do a review of their edelkrone wing product. That sounds like a really versatile piece of gear also!
Great video. Got some of Edelkrone's gear and I love it. of course, I would love to have some more!
Man, really love how you cut all the chaff from these. Really informative and to the point. Love your work.
Gerald Undone... The ONE Essential Camera Channel Everyone Should Know 💯
😃🙏🙌
Yhea, very pricy stuff, but the results are amazing. Super smooth and attracting. Nice work Gerald with showing different use cases in combination with basic camera movements!! Keep up doing nice stuff!
I got the edelkrone slider pro as well.
It works really well. I highly recommend to buy the Sony NP bracket. Unfortunately Canon batteries dont last long with the motion module.
On another note.. Id love to use the head one along w my slider pro!!👏🏾👏🏾
That dolly zoom was next level amazing!!! Nice adaptation connecting to the zoom ring!
Awesome Video!!! I love how deeply you go into all the different motions and explain them in your usual thorough way!
I just shot some b-roll using the GH5/Weebill Lab and it's not nearly as smooth as what the Edelkrone would have produced. As always, your videos are the best. Just straight in-depth knowledge for us nerds.
Great informative video. I have a few Edelkrone products and trying to learn how to best use them better.
Thanks, Bryan! Appreciate that.

The flexibility those gadgets give you is inspiring!
love the parallax effect with the dolly zoom. Thanks for reviewing these camera movements. Great channel.
Thanks, Mark! Appreciate it.
Brilliant! Never thought about these different camera movements but now that I think about it I recognise them especially in older film movies. Jer
That dolly zoom looks so sweet!!! loved it... thanks for the tips Gerald!!!
Love Edelkrone! Great Undone video! And I learned a new word!
Pedantic: excessively concerned with formalism, accuracy, and precision. Ha! Thanks Gerald!
-Will
😃🙏
Great video! By far the best video on camera movement I've seen so far. Edelkrone have some good gear to offer.
I love the gear. The random eating was hilarious!
Sweet .... Fantastic images. Great stuff. And the teacher is great to :)
Edelkrone is awesome, great content as usual :)
Trucks, Tracks, and Tricks - great video, man! I've got the HeadOne and the SliderPro v2. What was really nice was that Edelkrone updated both of them for me FOR FREE. I had the older models, and they just shipped me new hardware. Thanks, Edelkrone!
Nice! I was wondering how that update program went. That's awesome to hear.
Gerald Undone Yeah, it was definitely a nice surprise. I got an email one day saying that I was eligible to send in my old stuff and they’d send out newer models. And the improved motors in these are much smoother than the old ones.
How do you like the full kit? Seems like it’d be great for interviews.
Great content, Gerald. I've been looking at the edelkrone gear for some time. Need to sell my old Kessler slider setup.
Exactly repeatable motions like this are suuuuper useful for VFX. Gerald, please, it's actually my birthday.
