I have 800 hours in elyon and can say I had a lot of fun with it. The breakthrough system and RNG upgrades were really bad though they needed lots of work. The combat was what made the game for me I couldnt care less about the story or graphics. I quit this game a couple months ago to grind lost ark and im sure at some point the MMO cycle will continue lol. elyon started dying as soon as it came out sadly just wish they would have done more to attempt to hold onto what little community they had to begin with.
i played non-stop in the closed beta because I was in-between work at the time. I was so hyped because the beta was relatively easy to play, level up and use the systems in the game.... but then the game launched and the rng took a HARD spike downward. Everything was impossible to farm, the marketplace was HEAVILY nerfed and the slayer was an ungodly imbalanced lord of destruction that was not even worth attempting to fight. All in all, the beta left me with hopes, but when the actual game launched those hopes were crushed when i saw the MASSIVE grind they intended all players to go through and the lack any sort of balance whatsoever..... also GIGA nerfing the marketplace meant my main way to make money was gone so there would be zero chance for me to catch up to the high rank players because I simply cant play this game all day. Poorly managed, poorly developed, and far too complicated to even begin to understand all the various systems at work in the game. Its like TERA on massive amounts of cocaine, pretending to be the same game.
I've never seen a mmo die as quickly as elyon.. except maybe tera (which had diablo 3 release to thank instead of lost ark). When tera went f2p it really revived though and surprisingly was able to hold an acceptable amount of players. Maybe if elyon went trough with the pay to play model and wait to make it f2p later while they fix the issues, it could have gotten the same revival. But for some reason they didn't. Maybe they just wanted it to die idk.. such a pity. I did like the combat and progress systems better than bdo / bns etc except the weird rng just took 80% of the fun out, of course. Also the dungeons were too boring/short and everyone just focused on bursting trough instead of learning mechanics (which is only because the devs tuned it like that unfortunately.) Was cool while it lasted.
I personally don't understand why they thought it's gonna suceed ,game was poorly optimised movement was wooden graphics not that great i mean compare it to for example GW2 10 year old game and sevrers are breaking from being that full... I think current games are being just created to generate money instead of giving players fun as they used to sad but wont be crying loads of games comming out .

for me the rng games and i are not friends so this game started ok but. (upgrade rng) i failed over 30 times back to back. to me thats not fun so i stopped playing

Its sad, that you have 0 play experience this game, otherwise you would have known the game isn't dead. Raids and dungeons are still easy to find even 30 man raids, get cleared a couple of different raid teams per faction. Yes numbers are low, but isnt dead, soon (25th of may huge patch incoming) But yeah marketing wise, Kakao could have don a better job attracting new players. I can only speak for EU server, NA server has alot less people than EU though. Just sad, that Elyon has a rocky start on release, but they improved alot of stuff and is a really nice game now and soon we get more group content :)
under 1k players is a DEAD MMO. It's not a massive multiplayer online experience in any regard, I'm sure you can find dungeon and raid grotups with the small community left. It doesn't mean it's thriving or a healthy MMO, and when it shuts down within a year you'll understand.
@@Jarke than 95% or more mmos are dead aswell than. Elyon still has easy 600+ playerbase maybe more on eu alone. The only thing we can hope for is that with the new big paladin patch. And Tera shutting down. That they will try and do something to get more players . Because the game itself is really nice

EU elyon has easily 1k players now since game is getting more populated( many returning players and lots of new players). So yeah game doesn't have 999 servers capped like your ideal non existent mmo but in elyon even with 300 players you can do all content. All you did was speak with steam player count and reviews saying game is p2w and such monkas. you didn't even bother playing it for a bit seeing how it's actually going and just did a poorly and wrong review. would have took you 2 hours and speak to some player in game and you could have made a honest review, not a shit talking review. actual clown.

Tera WAS a better game... The problem of Elyon is not be a global game, IP Restrictions killed the game
Got the beta key, saw 3 levels of RNG progression that they were clearly going to monetise, rolled my eyes and uninstalled.
