Marudamalai Arulmigu Subrahmanya Swami Temple is a famous temple near Coimbatore about 14 kilo meters from the town. The temple is constructed on a mountain called Marudamalai. The trees called Maruda is widely growing in this hills, hence the hill called Marudamalai. It is considering that the temple is made in 12th century in Sanga era.
Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore is situated on the way to Marudamalai Murugan Temple.
