Bro this is such an insanely informative video.
I make experimental dissonant drone music lol, but I'm so blown away by Dua Lipa's mixes and vocals.
This thing you do where you have the LA2A up front and C2 at the end of the chain is so clutch is getting a good, clear, up front vocal.
I went home and tried this last night and then spent the next few hours changing my vocal chain for every song I'm working on, days before the master lol.
Dont they do melodyne stuff? Or they j sing raw n it get processed directly?

More good stuff- thanks for sharing your ideas! You are using some of the best of the worst plugs- I love it! I’m on a binge watching all you me breakdowns - amazing ways you explain what we do- lol. I loved your new reason thingy- but dang you make some of these tools sound alright! The mixing dude kinda ruins some of your audio but obviously there were some crappy people listening and making decisions for the powers that be- sure doesn’t match what you were capturing quite as well as it sounds in your session! Proof that over production of the mixing engineeers can squash some of the actual talent you have. Not really anyones fault- I hate those people that cleanup and smash the mix to death- I would be sending them crazy dynamic crap so they keep some in her music! Lol- reverse psychology- something they add takes away the energy in the Spotify mixes. Probably streaming? Lol- idk-
Producers like me will not understand anything with these tutorial...cause It's pro level. Plz make some video where we will get basic production strategy like vocal thickening, melodyne, mono-stereo template etc.
You can search for any basic production technique on the google & youtube because they are now ubiquitous. When you have adequate knowledge and experience just come to my channel and learn from the pros. I think that would help!! Thanks for your feedback!
Just use your ideas, like how can you make 1 vocal more thick? - Parallel Compress it, or add a stereo widener plugin like Doubler2 which create side images of the source,
you can make both high and low parallel comp, print out reverb and eq that over the vocal to thick it.
