this feels to me like raw and heartfelt rendition of Train Song. not sure why the fuck people ask "what's up with Todd" and shit like that. Todd is living and being Todd, going through shit like health issues and divorce that we all go through, and yeah probably smokin' some, maybe other stuff. Well fuck.....listen to the songs people and appreciate who he is and what he has devoted his life to. I hope he lives a good long time. Hell I hope I live and love a good long time. But if we don't we don't, and maybe we won't. Good version of Train Song......about all I can say.
Amen brother! We don't always need to try to be lookin' beyond what people have invited us to see. Musicians, artists, writers, performers... they give so much. Why can't it be enough, right? I saw Todd live tonight and he looked and sounded great. I can't complain... am just happy to be here... -Peace
i've been listening only a few years......late starter.......i play this song at open mike at my place ..............even his bad stuff i love .........god bless
Know matter how much I bing on hard drugs witch I shouldn't do anymore im 52 still indulge sometimes lil boy and lil cranky some time when I get the chance to get super depressed now days but Todd Snider and lately Mini Thin im not much into rap but those guys are good and for real
huge Todd fan !!! saw him 2 times this year & met him as well,, this video feels very intimate and personal. The look in his eyes is slightly scary being a big fan , i hope Brian and Elvis try and take great care of him ,, Todd has some great fans and has love from all across North America. .. looks like its been a "long year"
No singer in history has ever known what to do with their hands when not holding an instrument. Look at Robert Plant's weird little hand gestures. Anyway Todd is amazing- I flew up to Portland just to see him with John Prine and it was well worth it.
I think he wasn't comfortable singing with a ton of something or other coursing through his veins. I'm typically not one to make a comment like that but look at the dude's eyeballs. Great googly moogly. Love him. He seems to be doing alright of late. Hope he has a long ways to go.
I think this is a truly fantastic rendition, don't know what the fuck are people down here are talking about him being too stoned or whatnot. Only bad thing in my opinion where the harmonies from the acoustic guitar guy. Long live Todd!!!
i guarantee thats not a pain look,,,, i lov todd and am sure he is in paid ,, but that look is not pain,,i saw todd twice few months ago. and i guarantee u he was 'elevated' and was a great performance !!!!! i wish him all the best health in the world !
I wanna be that wasted on the day they lay me down :) check out my cover version, let me know what you think, i'm beginning to think i was stoned enough when i recorded it ,lol
I took the time to listen to your version. Guitar sounds good, singing is alright. I like the fact that you picked this song to sing. There's way too much reverb. Way too much. Sounds like you recorded it through a pillow, underwater, in the basement of the building across the street.
i agree and have been thinking, about it ,he is on a well lit stage and no guitar in his hand , i think that makes him uncomfortable, especially with the lights, and it being so bright in there. and if its acid or mush that soothes my mind 100% nothing wrong with either them on a good night ! chk my channel i have vids from 2 his shows
I love Todd ... but this rendition of this song .. well it's heavily induced by oxycontin. Thank God Todd kicked that little habit. Didn't quite feel him like when he's mildly high on the weed ... and a couple of glasses of red wine. I love Todd as much as anybody. Just don't care for him too ... "chemicalized". God bless him. 😎
Todd is Todd. Even if he's on acid/shrooms in this vid, that's still better than being hooked on prescription pills like most everybody else. He knows what's up.
Lost count of the number of times I've listened to this
This guy is real, he's one of the best writers I have ever heard or read, and I am so happy when I hear his music. He's simply the man...
Todd Snider Rules!!
....Todd is just fine.....Ol' Tim Leary has that fella cradled in his arms.....Love you brother!!....

Fantastic song, discovered Todd through listening to hayes carll, can't stop listening to his records. I wish we had artists like this in London!
Great song, would love to see him live someday, come to the UK Todd☺️
How did I miss that Todd Snider was going to be at MCR? Agh!
I don't know what the previous bashing comments are about but Todd looks and sounds great here...period!
Todd Snider! You are the best brother!
So talented guy. Total outlaw attitude. Master of disaster. PURE GENIUS songwriter.
Since his very first album the proud of REAL american music.

This is the best version of this song. I get so mad when I hear another version but dam iv it doesn't hit u
Wow. That was a good jam.
Tripping balls😁😲
I agree with you. I don´t understand how people can let him fall apart like that. It´s not healthy. He´s talented, and I wish he was sober.
Out of my one track mind
Todd knew what he was doing when he came to terms in life
This was the same high-as-hell Todd we saw last week here in KC.
No singer in history has ever known what to do with their hands when not holding an instrument. Look at Robert Plant's weird little hand gestures. Anyway Todd is amazing- I flew up to Portland just to see him with John Prine and it was well worth it.

i think he sounded great . i think he wasnt comfortable singing without playing his guitar. Look at his hands.
Great song, I love Todd and his band HWA

we all get wacked out at least all of us who are able to make positive waves.. I think working americans have a special place in this world
Too old to die young, so don't worry. This was beautiful.
No pot yet or no beer!! you see him running!! prob first song of the night!
lol you can't convince me he wasn't doin some snow white that night.
not sure what he's on but im worried
hard working that is
I am thinking he just feels naked that he is not holding a guitar. He doesn't have his blankey! Great song.
I think this is a truly fantastic rendition, don't know what the fuck are people down here are talking about him being too stoned or whatnot. Only bad thing in my opinion where the harmonies from the acoustic guitar guy. Long live Todd!!!
Is that Vince Herman playing guitar and singing harmony?
not very good on harmonies to be fair
i guarantee thats not a pain look,,,, i lov todd and am sure he is in paid ,, but that look is not pain,,i saw todd twice few months ago. and i guarantee u he was 'elevated' and was a great performance !!!!! i wish him all the best health in the world !
Todd's trippin!
I know that look in his eyes... todds in trouble!!!...again
Gooseflesh!
Oh, Todd, I hope you are well, cause you sure don't look like you are, and that is no bueno.
Does anyone know who the acoustic guitar player is?
Vince Herman
but how does he sound? nice tie.
True...but on the flip side, how many great songs were written by a sober person?
I wanna be that wasted on the day they lay me down :)
check out my cover version, let me know what you think, i'm beginning to think i was stoned enough when i recorded it ,lol

There’s something there
He is gone...
Very reminiscent of Joe Cocker...
John Krasinski on bass
Sober artist are like comedians without the tragic passing of time. Interesting is in the head of everybody who paid to be there and left with merch
love Todd. might have a slight buzz.? still jams

Todd looks really high. He may be ready for rehab again.
Doc Ellis aint got nuttin on the Todd.
Baseball lost a great catcher to music. Ah well.
Feder Esco course... he is barefoot.....
Not lookin good here - what happened to Todd?
Hope it was just a bad trip
He's been like that lately. HWA is bad for him.
looks a bit ill here. strung out, also lost quite a bit of weight.
I love Todd ... but this rendition of this song .. well it's heavily induced by oxycontin. Thank God Todd kicked that little habit. it's amazing how you can come to these conclusions just by looking at a video. wow. for fuck's sake people.
the organ is hideous
Todd is Todd. Even if he's on acid/shrooms in this vid, that's still better than being hooked on prescription pills like most everybody else. He knows what's up.
