    You are so knowledgeable about diesel engines. I’m quite nervous about taking my bus out on the road. Thanks for the video.

    Glad to hear it was just a relay,good job on the diagnostic. My 1991 is a mechanical inline six and I just bought a 2001 with a t444e,definitely a little intimidating with all the electronics.

    Glad to hear it was something simple and not too costly. The $400 tow bill was costly enough. Anyway, I’m happy you got your baby back on the road!👍🏻

    Thanks for the video!! I love your bus. I have a similar compass on m hood as well. 1987 International 6.9 L IDI I have a no start issue that has taken me down a rabbit hole. I’m looking for a wiring diagram for the bus console panel.

    Thanks for the information. I checked all the fuses, over the battery, and inside as well, all good. I unplugged the relays and made a 12v battery relay tester and can hear and continuity test the switching is working. So seems not my fuses and relays.
    The concept I don't completely understand is how to test the power lines on the harness plugging into the IDM/ECM. A video on testing that with a multi-meter would be helpful or at least an explanation for someone like myself who is learning. Is it as simple as turning on the key to ON, and sticking a Red positive prong in voltage mode into the harness power wire port, and Black prong into the ground port and monitoring for 12 volts?

    That was a most excellent, informative vlog, thank you sir! I learned a few useful tech tidbits for my '97 8-window IH T444E 3800.
    Too bad that simple relay cost $400, but all our problems should be so simple!
    No flash button on my dash, tho. Any thoughts on where Thomas may have stashed it at? 🤞

    Thanks for your good video, I wonder if you had this problem that I have, it clicks by the driver side but no crank batteries are fully charged also power booster brake motor not making any sound when you apply the brake
    All help is appreciated.

    • @JohnnyMullet
      @JohnnyMullet  Год назад

      If it's clicking, but not cranking, then the starter could be bad.

      Some progress discovering a rotted red wire on driver side behind all switches there is a fuse box for all the switches and another one with just 3 glass fuses a red yellow connected to the selenoid and black 2 Amps 250V I'm trying to find the fuse holder but is impossible.
      I will try tracing the wires to see where they go what they do the yellow is attached to the selenoid.

      @@notyours1612 if it has a regular brake fluid reservoir, then it's hydraulic. Is the fluid full? Does the brake pedal just go the the floor or is it hard as a rock?

      @JohnnyMullet  Год назад

      @@notyours1612 If it drops to the floor that usually means there is a leak in the system, but you say the brake fluid is full. Seems like the master cylinder where the reservoir is may have failed or somehow you got air in the system.

      Start with the batteries. There is fuses on top in holders. look for melted fuse. Then try relays on firewall like I did.
